My Days Building A Harem At A Japanese Girls' High School

Chapter 27: Only Women and Petty Men Are Hard to Deal With

  • Next Chapter

Miyuki Sakurai looked extremely agitated, and Haruka Himuro was equally unwilling to back down.

The two girls glared at each other across Quillan, while Quillan himself just kept eating his bento.

The bento Haruka Himuro had brought was delicious. It was clear that this girl, who had been doing housework independently since childhood, was very good at cooking. So Quillan ate with great relish, acting as if he couldn’t hear the argument between Haruka Himuro and Miyuki Sakurai at all.

Of course, Quillan’s heart wasn’t as calm as his exterior suggested. He was actually quite helpless about the situation.

Miyuki Sakurai obviously had strong feelings for him, her deskmate. And now it seemed Haruka Himuro’s intention was to firmly establish herself as Quillan’s personal maid!

Both of them were girls, and both were beautiful girls. What was Quillan supposed to do?

He could bravely step in to mediate, but as what? What identity would he use?

He wasn’t Miyuki Sakurai’s boyfriend or anything like that, and he certainly wasn’t Haruka Himuro’s master—that was just Haruka Himuro’s own one-sided idea.

Looking at it now, it was Quillan’s own meddling that had caused this trouble, and Haruka Himuro had latched onto him!

Haruka Himuro and Miyuki Sakurai were still arguing, neither willing to back down or show any sign of stopping.

"Shame? May I ask, Miyuki Sakurai, who exactly are you to Master? Are you and Master dating?" Haruka Himuro clearly wasn’t as innocent and blush-prone as Miyuki Sakurai. Having been accused of being shameless, she immediately chose to strike back.

"Who said I’m dating Quillan?" Miyuki Sakurai naturally chose to deny it, because she and Quillan hadn’t confirmed any dating relationship.

Haruka Himuro sneered: "In that case, may I ask, Sakurai-san, what right do you have to tell me how to address my own master? You’re not the person Master is dating, yet you come out and criticize how I address Master. So then—who exactly is the shameless one?"

Against Haruka Himuro, the innocent Miyuki Sakurai quickly lost ground, her little face turning bright red from the confrontation.

Her small hands, clenched into fists, loosened. She didn’t know how to fight back against Haruka Himuro’s words next.

Her not-very-quick little brain tried desperately to think fast. She’d just thought of something to counter Haruka Himuro with, and just as Miyuki Sakurai’s eyes lit up and she was about to speak, Quillan slowly stood up and looked at the two of them, saying: "May I ask, are you two planning to keep arguing forever? Or would you like to hear my opinion?"

Quillan had spoken. The two beautiful girls clearly just realized that they’d been so focused on arguing that they’d completely forgotten about Quillan—the person at the center of it all!

Not just Miyuki Sakurai—even Haruka Himuro blushed and lowered her head in embarrassment.

Seeing them silent, Quillan began to voice his opinion: "First, Miyuki-san, you should go to the cafeteria for lunch now. Otherwise, you’ll be hungry during afternoon classes! As for you, Himuro-san, you need to understand—you and I are classmates, and as an international student, I can’t afford a personal maid!"

Hearing the somewhat stiff tone in Quillan’s voice, as if carrying a hint of dissatisfaction, Haruka Himuro immediately turned pale with fright. She looked at Quillan pleadingly and said: "Is Master angry? I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Please don’t mind, Master. Your maid will be more careful from now on. Please, Master, don’t send me away..."

Haruka Himuro had actually misunderstood—she thought Quillan was going to kick her out. A few black lines appeared on Quillan’s forehead. Looking at Haruka Himuro’s already-moist big eyes, he could only shake his head helplessly and comfort her: "Himuro-san, you’ve misunderstood. I just want to make things clear—right now we’re just sharing a place. I’m responsible for paying the rent, and Himuro-san, you’re responsible for all the housework and making me delicious bentos! So, Himuro-san and I are just ordinary classmates!"

"But..."

Haruka Himuro persisted: "This is clearly the behavior of a master hiring a maid..."

"Sharing a place?"

Just as Haruka Himuro was muttering under her breath, a startled cry suddenly rang out in the classroom.

Everyone looked toward the source of the voice and couldn’t help but widen their eyes!

It turned out Ruri Hosokawa had finished lunch and returned to the classroom, just in time to hear Quillan telling Haruka Himuro that the two of them were living together!

Ruri Hosokawa was utterly shocked. Haruka Himuro was her best friend, and Quillan was the person she despised most in this school. Now her best friend and the person she hated most were living together, and on top of that...

What Ruri Hosokawa couldn’t tolerate was that her good friend Haruka Himuro was calling that despicable pervert "Master"!

That guy had declared he would prey on all the beautiful girls at St. Sakura Girls’ High School!

In Ruri Hosokawa’s view, with Quillan’s terrible character, he was definitely capable of such things. And now Quillan had already started—he’d tricked her best friend and they were even living together!

Such a huge matter, and she hadn’t known anything about it! And this morning she’d even humbled herself to beg Quillan to tell her what had happened to Haruka Himuro!

But Quillan had used that situation to make a fool of her!

Ruri Hosokawa’s stunningly beautiful face instantly darkened!

She clenched her fists, and the look in her eyes as she stared at Quillan seemed like it could spit fire!

"Class President-san looks really angry!" Quillan stretched lazily. Standing up and heading toward the back door of the classroom, he whispered to Haruka Himuro: "Hey, Himuro-san, I’ll leave this to you!"

With that, Quillan even shot Haruka Himuro a meaningful glance toward Ruri Hosokawa.

At a time like this, why would Quillan go provoke Ruri Hosokawa?

If Ruri Hosokawa had a knife in her hand right now, she’d probably be thinking about murder!

So Quillan wisely chose to leave. As he went, he lamented his experiences over the past few days. He, who had rarely had the chance to interact with women because Victoria Quinn had always been clinging to him, had only been at a girls’ high school for two days and was already sighing with emotion.

Ah! Confucius was right after all—only women and petty men are hard to deal with!

As he was about to reach the door, Quillan glanced at the little dullard Miyuki Sakurai still standing there in a daze. He rolled his eyes, then braced himself, turned around with a smile, and casually grabbed Miyuki Sakurai—that clueless little girl—and left the classroom through the back door!
