Chapter 420 - 420: Danger!
The system… the farm… or Ivy… whatever it was, they wanted Rezen to destroy this world. To become the enemy of all under the Heavens.
He was destined to become a figure that brought destruction. As a harbinger of chaos, Rezen was not allowed to have attachments in this world.
"If you want to fully utilize the farm's power, reach the 4th rank."
That was the only response that Rezen received from Ivy. Whether he was his golden finger's master remained unknown.
He clenched his fist tightly. The most hateful thing was that no matter how much he hated Ivy currently, he had no choice but to rely on her.
She was the only one that could make him stronger. Once he was strong enough, his fist would definitely become the law.
Rezen bit his lips. Once again, he was forced to swallow his pain. The priority right now should be to recuperate so that he could continue cultivating and reach the fourth rank as soon as possible.
He looked around him and, within a ten-meter radius with him as the center, nature had been thoroughly ravaged. Fire continued to burn, while the trees and the ground were scorched by sunlight and lightning.
If this had been back in the Savage Beast Realm, Rezen's loss of control would have caused far more damage than just a ten-meter radius.
From this alone, this realm was definitely higher than the Savage Beast Realm.
Rezen tried to sense the mana in his surroundings, and he was surprised by how much mana there was.
"This mana level… this is more than ten times higher than the mana level of the Savage Beast Realm!" Rezen exclaimed in surprise, not expecting that such a mana-rich place could actually exist.
"Just by living in this realm, only a little bit of effort is needed to become a Senior Mage," he continued.
In the Savage Beast Realm, Senior Mages were the elites, and there were not that many of them.
However, in this realm, even just by having a bit of talent, one could easily become a Senior Mage. If one was slightly more talented, then the hope of becoming a Great Mage was high.
This was not a normal place. If such a high mana level appeared in the Savage Beast Realm, it would definitely be considered a Blessed Land. But here, it was just a random mountain.
"Is this a fourth-rank realm?" Rezen muttered. The realm's suppression was far more potent than that of the Savage Beast Realm. Even his full power, unleashed in rage, could only affect such a small space.
This realm should be at the fourth rank. His eyes flickered. A fourth-rank realm meant an abundant amount of resources, but it also meant more danger.
The higher a realm's level, the more resources it would contain, but at the same time, more powerful living beings would appear.
He had to be even more cautious in this realm than when he was in the Savage Beast Realm.
With a deep breath, Rezen started to scan the area for resources, and he was surprised.
"Sundew Orchid, Golden Sunflower Vine, Vermillion Flame Ginseng, Starfruit Cherry…"
One rare herb after another entered Rezen's vision. If such resources were placed in the Savage Beast Realm, even the Guardian might be moved. But here, although they were not as common as grass, as long as you searched hard enough, you would be able to find some.
"This realm… most resources are related to the Sun," Rezen muttered while picking a Starfruit Cherry and storing it in the farm so that he could replant it next time.
He turned to look at the sky and saw three magnificent Suns forming a triangular formation. No wonder the surrounding temperature was high and many spirit plants contained the essence of the sun.
This was undoubtedly a good thing for Rezen. The magic he currently had the greatest affinity with was Sun-type magic. In such an environment, his magic would definitely be stronger than usual.
Roaarrrr!!!
A Sunhorn Leopard suddenly jumped out of the woods, pouncing toward Rezen at lightning speed.
With a frown, he stomped his foot on the ground, causing the earth to rise. If this had been a lower-level realm, this act alone would have caused a large part of the ground to move.
However, in this realm, the manifestation of his strength was severely limited.
It was not that Rezen's power had weakened. If he had a hundred points of power, after entering this realm he still had the same hundred points of power.
However, a hundred points of power that could destroy a mountain in the Savage Beast Realm could at most shatter a large boulder.
The way his power manifested could only cause a little bit of environmental damage. This was the realm's way of protecting itself.
After all, if a Senior Mage could shatter mountains in this realm, then how much more damage could Great Mages and Noble Mages possibly do?
Just thinking about it was enough to make one's hair stand on end.
Despite this, life must go on, and the elevated earth hit the Sunhorn Leopard in the chin, causing it to become disoriented.
It was too bad that he currently had no mature modified Ghost Berries. If he had one, he could easily deal with this first-cycle magic beast.
In order to steal the Noblesse Artifact's power, the farm had to sacrifice a lot. All the crops he had grown were sacrificed and became power sources.
Aside from the seeds of the more special and useful plants, Rezen didn't have any mature plants at the moment. Even his weapons were sacrificed. As such, he could only rely on his own power to deal with this magic beast.
However, he still had the plants he had foraged on this mountain, and there was one particular plant that was useful.
With a wave of his sleeve, a Starfruit Cherry appeared in his hand. Taking the chance while the magic beast was still disoriented, Rezen attempted to refine the spirit plant on the spot as if he planned to perform alchemy then and there.
Fire burned the Starfruit Cherry, slowly removing its impurities, but how could the Sunhorn Leopard let its human prey suddenly perform alchemy?
In just a few seconds, the beast recovered, and it once again pounced at Rezen.
In return, Rezen threw the plant that he hadn't even finished refining directly at the Sunhorn Leopard.
Boom!
In the next second, the plant actually exploded, and the sound of the Sunhorn Leopard's pained cries rang out.
Rezen had forgotten how many spirit plants he had wasted. He had no shortage of experience with explosions. In fact, many of the explosions he suffered during alchemy were even more lethal than his own attack power.
As such, he knew which spirit plants were more volatile and produced more violent explosions when not handled properly.
The Starfruit Cherry was one of them. Failing to successfully refine it meant creating a powerful bomb.
Just as he had expected, just one cherry alone heavily injured the Sunhorn Leopard, but its ferocity had not diminished at all.
"Grrr…" the leopard let out a threatening growl, the horn on its forehead shining with golden light as its injuries started to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"How can I let you heal?" Rezen snorted and retrieved another Starfruit Cherry. He did the same thing and threw it at the enemy.
The Sunhorn Leopard was already heavily injured, and it failed to dodge. That explosion made its injuries even more severe, but its horn gave it the energy to continue healing.
However, its horn clearly spent most of its energy keeping it alive. The golden glow had dimmed visibly as if it would go out at any moment.
At this point, Rezen couldn't even be bothered to use another precious Starfruit Cherry and simply finished the Sunhorn Leopard by sending a beam of sunlight.
With the Sunhorn Leopard dead, Rezen waved his hand, and the corpse disappeared. He absorbed it into the farm to help with its recovery.
At the moment, due to the damage it had sustained, the farm had fallen back to only being able to grow first-cycle Senior Rank plants. Its size had also decreased to a one-kilometer radius.
He was in dire need of energy to heal his farm. Only with higher-level spirit plants could he have more confidence in surviving this realm.
After all, just a random magic beast he encountered was already at the Senior Rank. There definitely was no lack of Great Rank beasts here.
As if affirming his thoughts, Rezen heard another animalistic sound, and even from afar, he could already sense the source's aura.
"Not good! It should at least be a Great beast!"
Without wasting any time, Rezen immediately ran away. He even made several clones run in different directions in hopes that they would attract the beast's attention.
His main body also tried to keep its aura to a minimum so that he wouldn't be targeted.
