My Human Identity Was Exposed by an Evil Spirit Wife
Chapter 334 - 332: Good, This Makes the Game Interesting!
The dungeon of the Octopus Lord is like a dark cage.
This group of humans has been captured by the octopus not long ago.
These humans belong to different ranks; there are low-tier survivors and high-tier survivors.
But even at such ranks, they still have no means of resistance when facing the Lord.
Now, they know they will start a game alongside a group of malevolent spirits.
Fear spreads in their hearts; they don't know what fate this game will bring.
No one tells them the rules of the game, nor do the spirits communicate with them.
When the octopus captured them, it merely said that as long as they survive and emerge from the game, they can leave.
No one believes, yet has no choice but to believe.
In this desperate situation, they can only cling to this fragile hope, like a drowning person clutching a lifeline.
When Ding Ning arrives, the scene is as she sees it.
She stands quietly there, holding a shriveled flower in her hand, a flower that perhaps once was vibrant and radiant but now lost its former glory.
The surface of the flower is filled with black stripes, like a canvas corroded by darkness.
At this point, Hua has lost consciousness; her fingers lightly touch the petals, feeling the faint breath of life.
An indescribable sadness and worry surge in her heart.
When she arrived at the Octopus Lord's dungeon, the other side merely glanced at her with confusion.
"Where's your man? Didn't you say you'd come through ten dungeons and gain some sort of recognition?" The octopus mocked her with a cold sneer, seeing she didn't bring anyone along.
He merely glanced at the flower in her hand, his gaze as sharp as a knife, instantly piercing through the surface of the flower.
He then saw that there were two consciousnesses within the flower; in his domain, he can easily see through the truths hidden beneath the surface.
In an instant, he knew what Ding Ning intended to do.
His lips slightly curled into a mocking smile.
In his view, Ding Ning's intention was so obvious, so naive.
She wanted to use him and separate the two consciousnesses.
In his realm, it's not necessary to kill someone conclusively; simply voting to eliminate that consciousness is a form of separation.
He is well aware of his realm's rules and understands the feasibility of this approach.
"Is this your so-called friend?" He mockingly looked at the flower in Ding Ning's hand, his eyes full of disdain.
The sound was like a cold wind sweeping through the silent space, carrying a sharp mockery.
The Octopus Lord knows Ding Ning and Hua well.
He cannot fathom Ding Ning's affection and obsession with this flower, seeing it as a meaningless emotion.
His lips slightly curled, seemingly mocking Ding Ning's innocence and stupidity.
"Like me, how nice. You see, all subordinates can die, they're just tools for the game."
The Octopus Lord coldly watched them; in his world, there are no true friends, only interests and power.
He regards everything that appears before him as his tool, willing to sacrifice them without hesitation to achieve his goals.
He looked at the flower in Ding Ning's hand, stained black, a flicker of doubt in his eyes.
Rarely does he see spirits being involuntarily contaminated by external consciousnesses.
Though aware of the relationship between Hua and Ding Ning, he regarded Hua as lifeless.
He doesn't believe in friendship, doesn't believe in emotions, only in his own power.
He saw at a glance that the other party wanted to use him.
But so what, it doesn't matter at all.
Ding Ning remained silent as the game needs him to start it.
The Octopus Lord scrutinized her, cold gaze sweeping back and forth over Ding Ning.
After a moment, he spoke slowly, "Fine, it can start now, but you must participate."
"I guarantee they can be allocated to two different camps."
Upon hearing this, Ding Ning fell silent.
When she brought Hua over, she knew such a situation would occur.
But she didn't think much, just nodded.
"Great, now the game is interesting!" The Octopus Lord's eyes flashed with a gleam of excitement, his voice tinged with a cruel pleasure.
Excited, his tentacles all waved, dancing like giant pythons.
"Want to invite your human husband along? I guarantee you'll be placed in the same camp, you won't be separated." He looked excitedly at Ding Ning, his eyes shining with cunning.
He awaited Ding Ning's response; in his heart, the game became more thrilling with Jiang Che.
"Rest assured, once you enter the game, even I won't know which camp you end up in." He could only allocate them to one side, but which side, he couldn't determine.
"Isn't he trying to pass through?" His words were filled with temptation, as if offering Ding Ning an irresistible choice.
He knew Ding Ning yearned to find an opportunity for her beloved, a chance now before her. "This is the best opportunity."
He cared not about passing through ten dungeons to reach the throne.
He just wanted his own happiness.
Even if he lets people pass the trials, there are many Lords.
If they all let them pass, they are truly useless.
The surrounding air seemed tense due to the Octopus Lord's words.
Yet Ding Ning only faintly smiled, "He's not coming. A human longing for the throne, of what use is it?"
"Moreover, can't you distinguish between true and false messages?" She looked mockingly at the Octopus Lord.
"Heh, of course I can distinguish them." The Octopus Lord casually replied, "Just an extra human participating, makes the game a bit more interesting."
"Let's start." Ding Ning said no more, only leading Hua into the dungeon.
The octopus watched her enter, the rules beginning to imprint on her mind.
Ding Ning had visited his domain before, but always sent an avatar to play.
This was the first time she personally came.
An avatar doesn't possess the full power of the main body; in the game, it might be mentally disrupted by other spirits.
Even when disrupted before, Ding Ning wouldn't say much.
Because once consciousness returned, recognizing the disruption and gaining experience was a kind of growth and practice.
The Octopus Lord looked at the flower in Ding Ning's hand, about to wither; it seemed to hold importance for her.
He grinned; he is very keen on keeping promises.
As promised to Ding Ning, he separated Hua and the other consciousness into two camps.
While Ding Ning, he allocated her to the opposite side of Hua.
