My Magic Has No Upper Limit
Chapter 283 - 280: Farewell Drink
Chapter 283: Chapter 280: Farewell Drink
Gray pried open the Evil Rot Slime’s shell.
Zelir delivered the final, fatal blow.
A deep blue beam of light shot forth with unparalleled piercing power!
It didn’t just accurately strike the wound Gray had opened. Its focused form was so piercing that it drilled deep into the Evil Rot Slime’s body!
The Aurora Energy Beam brutally tore through all the gelatinous tissue that tried to block its path, completely unstoppable!
This time, it wasn’t just a surface-level explosion.
The rampaging Arcane Energy detonated in the Evil Rot Slime’s narrow internal cavity, triggering a terrifying chain reaction!
Light first shone from within the Evil Rot Slime, illuminating its black body and turning it a bizarre, translucent azure.
The next second, the light reached a critical point.
"BOOM!!!"
A deafening blast erupted from the center of the putrid mass of flesh!
As if a blasting cap had been detonated inside a sealed, water-filled balloon, the Evil Rot Slime’s body was utterly blown apart by the terrifying internal pressure!
Countless fragments were flung in all directions!
"Holy shit!"
Gray was shocked, his forward-charging figure abruptly swerving mid-dash.
A piece of black gelatinous debris the size of a millstone, wrapped in a fierce gust of wind, grazed his scalp as it flew past.
SPLAT! It slammed heavily onto the frozen earth behind him, the splashing acid hissing.
Elsewhere, a constant CLANGING and CLATTERING rang out.
Marcus skillfully hid behind his Shield, avoiding the impact of the bodily fragments.
He waited until the commotion outside died down a little before peeking out.
The once-invincible black mountain of flesh before them had now completely collapsed.
After that violent explosion, the Evil Rot Slime had basically lost all ability to resist.
The ground was littered with scattered black gelatinous matter.
The largest pieces were no more than a meter in diameter, while the smallest were only a few dozen centimeters.
They were like a pile of smashed black Jell-O, scattered across an area several dozen meters wide and emitting white smoke.
"Is it... dead?" Marcus muttered.
’It’s been blown to smithereens. It has to be dead, right?’
"No."
Zelir narrowed his eyes.
No notification about an increase in experience had popped up on his system panel.
He observed the scene carefully.
’Found it...’
Sure enough, a few meters from the center of the explosion, an unusual light flickered inside a relatively large fragment of its body.
That was where the Evil Rot Slime’s core was located.
’This thing really is hard to kill. Its body was blown into so many pieces, yet it’s still clinging to life.’
The Evil Rot Slime had now completely given up on fighting this Adventurer Squad.
The remnant of its body containing the core was slowly using its corruption ability, attempting to merge with the surrounding swamp.
’As long as I can melt in and hide... it won’t matter if I’m only the size of a palm.’
’Once I survive the winter, I can make a comeback!’
The other body fragments also began to coordinate with the main part’s actions.
"SQUISH! SQUISH!"
Dozens of Slime fragments, each the size of a washbasin, suddenly leaped up and even stretched into net-like shapes in mid-air.
They threw themselves recklessly at the nearest targets, Gray and Marcus.
They were attempting to buy the main body a few seconds to escape with this suicidal interference.
"Damned muck!"
Gray had just raised his sword to chase after the main body when two dark shadows instantly blocked his path.
He didn’t dare to be careless.
’Even though they’re just fragments, if this stuff envelops my head, the feeling of suffocating from strong acid is no joke.’
Gray could only swing his sword to cut through these obstacles, but his pace was slowed as a result.
The surrounding temperature dropped abruptly.
At the tip of the Night Peace Staff, a clear, bright, cold blue light flickered.
Zelir wasn’t about to let the Evil Rot Slime’s plan succeed.
He waved his arm, and a torrent of Magic Power poured out.
Frost Technique!
The target was the very patch of swamp the Evil Rot Slime was trying to melt into to escape!
The weather was already cold, and combined with the Frost Technique Zelir cast, the two created a synergistic effect.
The muddy swamp over there was immediately affected.
White frost, like crazily growing vines, spread rapidly across the black, frozen earth.
Winter was nature in slow motion, but Zelir’s Magic at this moment was like hitting the fast-forward button.
The patch of swampy mud softened by the Evil Rot Slime was instantly frozen solid again.
The Evil Rot Slime’s final escape route was sealed off.
"Just stay here and die...!"
A final Aurora Energy Beam, and a brilliant blue light exploded.
The remnant of its body, containing the Evil Rot Slime’s core, was finally annihilated in the bombardment of Magic Power.
Meanwhile, on the flank, Maki was fighting valiantly amidst a swarm of Mutated Slimes with his Heavy Sword!
"Get the hell out of my way!!"
With a furious roar, Maki’s Heavy Sword sliced through the air, leaving a fan-shaped afterimage.
Wherever the blade passed, two black Slimes leaping through the air in an attempt to get over his head were smashed in half.
These mutated beings displayed surprising resilience.
Their shattered bodies didn’t die immediately upon hitting the ground. Instead, as if they had independent consciousness, they continued to swarm toward Maki.
Fortunately, he had very reliable ranged support from the rear.
Valles’s Arrows always arrived at the perfect moment.
Sharp Arrows wreathed in purple lightning struck with precision, eliminating the Demons that Maki couldn’t handle.
Suddenly, several more beams of light shot past one after another, setting off a chain of explosions!
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!!"
The magical Rhombus Missiles had just taken out several Mutated Slimes in the rear that were preparing to spit acid.
Maki turned his head in surprise and saw that it was Magic cast by Zelir.
