My Martial Arts Have Entries
Chapter 159: The Unkind Will Face Retribution
His body shot forward like an arrow, parting the water.
Yet he barely created a ripple, leaving only a trail of fine bubbles rising slowly behind him.
The world underwater was another realm entirely.
Dark, silent, and filled with an omnipresent pressure.
But for Lu Jing’an, it felt more comfortable than dry land.
The water caressed his skin, soft as silk gauze. Vision was non-existent in the lightless depths.
But in the perception granted by his entry, his surroundings were as clear as day.
Lu Jing’an swam along the riverbed, following the intelligence he had gathered during the day.
He headed for the area of the river where the Water Patrol Bureau had fought the Snake Demon that morning.
After about ten minutes, Lu Jing’an reached the area.
The riverbed was a mess.
Craters blasted by explosives, scattered fragments of broken ship planks.
And patches of blood, already turned black, silently testified to the ferocity of the daytime battle.
The Water Patrol Bureau had clearly already cleaned up the battlefield; the massive, severed half of the Snake Demon’s corpse was long gone.
Lu Jing’an floated in the water and closed his eyes.
He spread his Divine Thought once more.
This time, he pushed Cause and Effect with Sound to its absolute limit.
An invisible ripple spread out from him in all directions, just like a wave in the water.
It permeated every inch of the river’s water, every crevice, and even the thick silt of the riverbed.
The flow of the river, the settling of silt, the movement of fish and shrimp, the swaying of waterweeds…
Myriad subtle ‘sounds’ converged into a massive torrent of information.
It flooded into his sea of consciousness, where it was rapidly filtered and analyzed.
A half-hour later, Lu Jing’an’s eyes snapped open.
A sharp glint flashed in their depths.
“Found it.”
Lu Jing’an moved, becoming a shadow in the water.
He dove toward a deep chasm in Jiang Xin.
The chasm was hidden behind several massive, ox-shaped boulders, its entrance concealed by dense waterweeds, making it extremely difficult to spot.
Lu Jing’an pushed aside the waterweeds and slipped inside.
The space inside the chasm was quite large, and the light was even dimmer.
But in Lu Jing’an’s perception, nothing could hide.
There, on the thick silt at the bottom of the chasm, lay a colossal beast!
It was the very same Snake Demon that had been grievously wounded by Bai Lang during the day!
Its current condition was far better than Lu Jing’an had expected.
Its nearly twenty-zhang-long body was severed in two, but the break was already teeming with a dense web of budding flesh and blood vessels.
They twisted and connected, slowly healing at a rate visible to the naked eye.
The newly grown flesh and skin were a pale pink,
a stark contrast to the hard, ink-green scales surrounding it.
‘At this rate, it won’t take a year and a half.’
‘It’ll probably be fully reconnected in just over a month!’
‘And if it has enough Blood Food, that time could be even shorter.’
Lu Jing’an’s arrival instantly startled the ferocious beast.
The Snake Demon abruptly raised its massive head.
Its scarlet vertical pupils suddenly lit up in the darkness, like two blood-red lanterns!
The savage, fleshy crest around its neck snapped open, like the Grim Reaper’s wings.
It radiated a ferocious, heart-pounding aura.
Its enormous body arched slightly, assuming an attack posture.
The movement caused beads of blood to ooze from the tender new flesh at the point of severance.
If an ordinary Cultivator were here, they would have long been petrified by this terrifying presence.
But Lu Jing’an’s expression remained unchanged as he floated in the water, calmly meeting the gaze of those scarlet pupils.
The next moment, a faint light flashed between Lu Jing’an’s brows.
He activated Mind Control!
The power of the entry was formless and intangible, yet it pierced the Snake Demon’s sea of consciousness more directly than the sharpest longsword.
The Snake Demon’s body convulsed, letting out a silent roar.
The red light in its eyes flared wildly; it was clearly resisting with all its might.
However, it had been severely injured during the day, and its Spirit was already weak.
Now, with most of its power focused on repairing its Flesh Body, the Defense of its sea of consciousness was like a broken dam.
Lu Jing’an’s Spiritual Power charged straight in.
The Snake Demon’s sea of consciousness was a chaotic mess, filled with fragments of pain, violence, and fear.
A miniature, somewhat illusory Primordial Spirit of the Snake Demon was frantically flicking its tongue at Lu Jing’an’s Divine Thought projection, posturing fiercely while inwardly terrified in an attempt to scare off the intruder.
“Futile.”
Lu Jing’an’s Divine Thought projection gently raised a hand, and his immense Spiritual Power transformed into invisible chains that coiled around the spirit, layer by layer.
There was no fierce struggle, only a silent, crushing defeat.
After just a moment, the illusory serpent’s struggles grew weaker and weaker.
The ferocious light in its eyes was gradually replaced by a daze, before finally becoming docile and vacant.
In the real world, at the bottom of the chasm, the giant Snake Demon slowly lowered its head.
Its scarlet vertical pupils reflected Lu Jing’an’s figure.
The ferocity was gone, replaced by submission.
Lu Jing’an opened his eyes, feeling the clear mental link that had been established with the Snake Demon.
“Wait for me here. Do not move.”
The Snake Demon’s massive head bobbed gently up and down, stirring up a cloud of silt.
Lu Jing’an turned and once again vanished into the dark river water.
About an hour later, Lu Jing’an returned.
But this time, he was not alone.
Behind him was a dark, boundless “flood”!
Countless fish.
Plump river carp, schools of silver carp, shimmering tapertail anchovies, and even bottom-dwellers like loaches and yellowhead catfish…
Large and small, of every variety.
There were also piles of river mussels, freshwater shrimp, river snails, and even some rare aquatic creatures.
All of them, as if driven by an invisible force, surged toward the chasm where the Snake Demon lay.
Under the shroud of the King of Zeguo’s aura, these lower aquatic life-forms could only instinctively submit and follow.
Meanwhile, Hydrological Control created a subtle undercurrent that gathered and herded them.
The vast army of Blood Food instantly clogged the entrance to the chasm.
The Snake Demon’s vertical pupils contracted abruptly, shining with a light that was almost ravenous.
