My Milf Conqueror System
Chapter 273: The Counter Intelligence
The preparation for the meeting was meticulous.
The safehouse was quiet. The air was cool from the AC and carried the faint smell of metal, cleaning spray, and old concrete. Light from a single overhead bulb made a hard circle on the table. The concrete floor was cold under my feet. Dust motes floated in the light and settled slowly on the surface of the wood. The walls were bare. Paint was chipped in the corners.
I couldn’t walk into a room with Empress Song Mei carrying any trace of Noah Reed. Not a posture, not a habit, not a glance. Nothing.
The physical transformation was only the first step. I spent three hours in the safehouse with Ethan, running through the Vanguard psychological immersion protocols until my body remembered them.
I stood in front of the mirror and peeled Noah away layer by layer. The way he held tension in his neck. The way his weight sat on the balls of his feet. The way his eyes scanned every exit without thinking. The way his jaw clenched when he was angry. I let it all go. The air on my skin felt different when I did. Lighter.
My reflection looked unfamiliar. The suit changed the line of my shoulders. The hair changed the shape of your face. Even the way I breathed was different. Shallow. Even. Rich men don’t waste oxygen. Rich men don’t rush. Rich men don’t look like they’re waiting for a fight.
I tilted my head. Practiced a small, disinterested smile. The kind that says I own the building and I’m bored of it. I rolled my shoulders back once, then let them fall. I watched my hands. No fists. No tapping. Just loose. Just idle. Like money made them soft.
I stripped away the hyper-vigilant, predatory posture of the street enforcer. I relaxed my shoulders. They dropped. I slowed my breathing. In. Out. Steady. I adopted the subtle, entitled arrogance of a man who had never been in a physical fight in his life. My hands rested loose at my sides. My jaw stayed loose too. My eyes went half-lidded.
I practiced the cadence of Julian Croft’s voice—smooth, cultured, and slightly bored. The words came out slower. Softer. Each syllable rounded at the edges. I let my vowels stretch.
"You look different way hey," Ethan noted, watching me adjust the cuffs of a bespoke, light-gray Tom Ford suit. The fabric was smooth between my fingers. Cool. "It’s not just the clothes. Your center of gravity shifted. You look softer, It’s mind blowing really."
"Billionaires don’t need to look hard," I said, checking my reflection in the mirror. The glass was clean. It showed the suit. The posture. The light was bright on the fabric and made the gray look almost white. "They pay other people to be hard for them. If the Empress looks at me and sees a threat, the disguise fails. She needs to see a wallet and a wallet is what she is going to see nothing more, nothing less."
"The meeting is at the Mandarin Oriental," Claire reported over the comms. Her voice was clear in my ear. "Private tea room on the top floor. It’s neutral ground, but it’s heavily monitored. The Imperial Shadows will have the room bugged, and they’ll be running facial recognition and biometric scans the moment you walk through the door you should be careful."
"Let them scan," I said. "My biometrics in the international databases are tied to a disgraced Canadian JTF2 operative who officially died in a helicopter crash three years ago. Nia scrubbed the records. They won’t find a match."
The earpiece was small. Plastic. Warm against my skin.
"I’ve also set up a localized signal scrambler in your watch," Nia added. "It won’t block their cameras, but it will subtly distort any high-resolution facial capture algorithms. It’ll give them a ninety-percent match to Julian Croft’s fabricated passport photos, but it will prevent them from running a deep-dive structural analysis."
I slipped the platinum Patek Philippe onto my wrist. It was heavy. Cold at first, then warm against my skin. The metal made a faint _click_ as the clasp closed. The face caught the light.
I ran my hands down the front of the suit. The seams were clean. The cut was perfect. The shirt underneath was silk. It slid against my skin.
"Ethan, you stay at the safehouse," I ordered. "If things go sideways, I don’t want you anywhere near the hotel. I’ll have the private security contractors from the Wynn handle my transport."
"Copy that," Ethan said, though he clearly didn’t like being sidelined. "Watch your back, Noah."
"Julian," I corrected smoothly.
The room was silent after I said it. Only the hum of the AC.
I walked out of the safehouse and stepped into the waiting armored Mercedes. The door was heavy. It closed with a solid _thump_. The leather seats were cool against my back. The smell inside was leather and faint cologne.
The private security detail—four heavily armed ex-military contractors—didn’t ask questions. They simply opened the door, secured the perimeter, and drove me toward the Cotai Strip.
The car moved. The tires made a low sound on the road. Outside the tinted windows, Macau passed by. Glass. Neon. People. The sun was bright and made the windows flash white. The air from the vents blew against my face. It smelled clean.
The cold war was escalating. I was walking back into the lion’s den, but this time, I was wearing a different skin.
The suit jacket didn’t pull. The shirt collar sat right.
In my head I ran through the lines again. Slower. Bored. Money in every word.
The driver took a turn. The car leaned slightly.
The ride was quiet. Only the low hum of the engine and the faint sound of traffic outside.
I sat back. The leather was smooth under my palms.
This was Julian Croft going to the meeting.
Not Noah.
The transformation was complete.
