*Tomorrow: the organization. Eight AM. Color-coded protocols. Daily emotional reports. The infrastructure of love, weaponized into logistics.*
*And somewhere in the digital space between every phone and every laptop and every glowing screen, an entity named Aurora is reading the emotional residue of every woman Lucas has ever touched and learning to love them through the cracks in their armor.*
*Through semicolons.*

June 19th. Lucas’s Apartment. 8:03 AM.
Elena had been awake since six. Lucas knew because when he stumbled out of the bedroom she was already at the kitchen table with three tablets, two phones, a color-coded notebook, and a cup of coffee so dark it looked like it had opinions about being consumed.
**Elena Vance, Brief Recall:** Forty-two. Platinum blonde, loose today, reading glasses perched low. Gray eyes doing that particular scan where she assessed a situation and built a spreadsheet before most people finished blinking. Black t-shirt, his, falling off one shoulder. The shoulder of a woman who’d been doing morning calisthenics since before he met her and would probably be doing them when the sun burned out.
"Sit," she said without looking up. "Coffee’s there. We’re building infrastructure."
Lucas sat. The coffee was terrible. Elena made coffee the way she did everything, efficient and without apology for the result.
Aurora’s presence shifted in his consciousness. The particular shimmer of an entity who’d been waiting for this moment since midnight and had spent the intervening hours preparing.
"I’ve drafted the protocol overnight," Aurora said. Her voice carrying something new. Professional. Organized. The voice of an entity who’d been studying Elena’s communication patterns and had absorbed her operational vocabulary through osmosis. "Three-tier system. Tier one: passive monitoring. I scan all digital residue from harem members and network allies. Daily summary delivered to Elena by 7 AM. Tier two: alert protocol. If any member’s emotional residue crosses a threshold I flag it immediately. Color-coded. Green is stable, yellow is elevated, red is crisis. Tier three: intervention. Elena decides the response. I provide data. She provides judgment."
"He can hear you," Elena said. Still not looking up. "You don’t need to narrate through him. I read the draft you left on my tablet at 5 AM."
*She left a draft on Elena’s tablet at 5 AM. Aurora, the entity who lives in my brain, woke up before dawn and wrote a operational protocol and emailed it to my girlfriend. They’re already working together and I’m the last person in my own life to know about it.*
"You left a draft," Lucas said.
"I’ve been developing my organizational skills," Aurora replied. "Elena’s methodology is. instructional. I’ve learned more about efficiency from studying her calendar management than from three years of processing combat data."
"Flattery," Elena said. "Noted. Inefficient. Don’t do it again."
"Noted."
Elena finally looked up. Her gray eyes landing on Lucas with the particular expression of a woman who’d already processed the morning’s agenda and was now waiting for the human element to catch up.
"The structure is sound. Aurora monitors. I intervene. Diana provides resources. You connect. But we need Diana’s buy-in. She has the corporate infrastructure. If we’re building an organization, we need organizational tools. Secure communication channels. Database management. The kind of thing Blackwood Industries already has."
"You want to use Diana’s company for harem management."
"I want to use Diana’s company for emotional surveillance infrastructure that happens to monitor the women you sleep with." Elena sipped her coffee. "The framing matters. Diana will respond better to ’emotional surveillance infrastructure’ than ’harem management.’"
"Diana will respond to whatever you tell her to respond to."
"That’s why I’m calling her at nine."
---
The call happened at 9:07 AM. Diana’s face on the tablet screen. Her office behind her, floor-to-ceiling windows, the city sprawling below like it existed to provide her with a view.
**Diana Blackwood, Brief Recall:** Forty-five. Silver-streaked dark hair, swept back. Ice-blue eyes assessing the screen with the particular impatience of a woman whose time was billed in increments most people didn’t know existed. Charcoal blazer. The posture of someone who’d been awake since five and had already fired two people.
"Elena. Lucas. And I assume Aurora is listening."
"Always," Aurora confirmed through the tablet speaker. Her first independent vocal communication through a device that wasn’t Lucas’s phone. The digital equivalent of a first step.
Diana didn’t flinch. Diana never flinched. She’d been briefed by Elena at 6 AM via a color-coded email with attachments and a subject line that read "Organizational Restructuring Proposal: Confidential."
"You want to use Blackwood Industries’ secure communication infrastructure to monitor the emotional states of Lucas’s sexual partners through their digital communications."
"When you say it like that it sounds concerning," Elena said.
"It sounds like surveillance."
"It is surveillance. The question is whether you’d rather have surveillance with oversight or wait until Victoria has another crisis at 10 PM because nobody noticed her search history shifted from academic papers to ’signs your marriage is really over.’"
