My Mosquito Clones Are on a Killing Spree
Chapter 250 - 111: Indestructible Golden Body! The 5 Great Wondrous Items
Chapter 250: Chapter 111: Indestructible Golden Body! The 5 Great Wondrous Items
[Storage Ring]: A spatial treasure refined by Pre-Qin Qi Cultivators using a Secret Technique. It can hold a universe in a mustard seed, allowing you to carry a small world with you! Exchange cost: 40,000 points!
Lin Yi couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.
A moment later, an even more fervent glint ignited in his eyes.
’This is the real prize! The best thing the training camp has been hiding!’
His gaze was electric as he scanned the list, his mind racing as he began to weigh his options.
The first item he eliminated without hesitation was the drop from the Fountain of Eternal Youth.
Its effect was singular—merely granting "eternal youth"—which held no appeal for someone like him, who sought the pinnacle of power.
It might drive some powerful female Martial Artists to fight over it like maniacs.
But for him, it was far less practical than a well-suited Weapon.
Next, his gaze swept over the Longevity Swordsmanship manual without a moment’s hesitation.
He was dedicated to the way of the spear. With a spear in hand, his focus was unwavering.
No matter how profound the Swordsmanship Secret Manual, it was completely useless to him.
And it wasn’t like he was going to switch Weapons.
His eyes finally settled on the three remaining treasures—
The Black Dragon Spear! The Thick Earth Seal! The Storage Ring!
’I want them all!’
The Black Dragon Spear and the Thick Earth Seal were Tier Five Spiritual Weapons!
It was a known fact that even though forging technology on Blue Star was booming, the pinnacle of Spiritual Weapon forging could only reliably produce Tier Three Spiritual Weapons.
The only way to get higher-tier Weapons was to find them in ancient tombs!
Countless mid- and high-rank Martial Artists would bankrupt themselves, or even risk their lives, for a single, well-suited, high-tier Spiritual Weapon!
The Black Dragon Spear, in particular, was a perfect match for his spear-focused Martial Dao. It was the spear of his dreams!
But with his current points, he could only afford one of them.
His gaze swept greedily over the Black Dragon Spear and the Thick Earth Seal one last time.
Finally, Lin Yi gritted his teeth. ’I can make do with my current Spiritual Weapon for now, but a storage item... that’s an absolute necessity! It’s just too convenient!’
He made his choice.
[Points -40,000!]
[Storage Ring exchange successful!]
Almost simultaneously, Zhao Jun received a notification as well.
He glanced at the message on his screen and nodded at Lin Yi, his voice tinged with admiration.
"You’ve got a sharp eye, kid! This Storage Ring is a rarity in the entire Martial Dao world. Only a few have ever been excavated from Pre-Qin tombs. If you use it well, its value will far surpass that of an ordinary Spiritual Weapon."
He turned and ordered Zhao Haimo,
"Liu, go to the vault and bring him that Storage Ring."
Zhao Haimo acknowledged the order. With a flicker, his figure vanished from the spot, as swift as a phantom.
A short while later, he returned, holding a white Jade Box that glowed with a gentle luster. He presented it to Lin Yi with great solemnity.
Lin Yi took a deep breath, suppressing his excitement as he carefully opened the Jade Box.
Inside, a plain, jet-black ring of ancient design rested silently on a soft silk cushion.
"Bond it with a drop of your blood," Zhao Haimo instructed succinctly.
Lin Yi did as instructed, placing the ring on his left middle finger. He immediately bit the tip of his tongue, and a single crimson drop of blood, suffused with his pure Qi and Blood, landed on the jet-black face of the ring.
The bead of blood was instantly absorbed by the ring, vanishing like a water droplet into a sponge.
HUM!
A strange, faint pulse, like a connection being forged in his very soul, instantly traveled from the ring into the depths of Lin Yi’s consciousness.
With a slight shift of his will, a distinct sense of a spatial area immediately materialized in his mind—
It was a cubic space, roughly two meters on each side—empty, yet incredibly real!
With a mere thought, the Jade Box in his hand vanished with a WHOOSH and appeared inside the space. Then, with another WHOOSH, it was back in his hand.
He controlled it as effortlessly as moving his own limbs. It was simply marvelous!
Watching Lin Yi’s adept movements, Zhao Haimo added a word of caution:
"Lin Yi, you must remember this! The Storage Space can only hold inanimate objects or things like Spirit Medicines that lack sentience. If you try to force a sentient being inside, the spatial structure will collapse instantly, and the ring will be utterly destroyed! Remember this!"
"Yes, Instructor Liu! I will be sure to remember!" Lin Yi nodded grimly. ’I have to keep that taboo in mind.’
Just then, Zhao Jun’s voice rang out again, leaving no room for argument:
"Alright, enough gawking at your new toy. You’ve still got over two thousand points in your account. Don’t save them. Spend them right now, in front of me! I want to make sure you don’t go out and get any funny ideas, like starting some shady, back-alley point trading scheme!"
Clearly, Lin Yi’s previous point-peddling antics had left a deep and traumatic impression on the chief instructor.
Upon hearing this, a helpless smile crept onto Lin Yi’s face.
He immediately opened the training camp’s general supply depot interface and began to browse quickly.
’Since Cultivation resources don’t do much for me anymore... I might as well use this chance to get a high-quality Spiritual Weapon!’
His eyes quickly locked onto a target.
[Star Spear]: A Tier Three Spiritual Weapon! The shaft is forged primarily from Star Stone, making it incredibly tough. Its point is razor-sharp, and its energy conduction is extremely high! Exchange cost: 2,200 points!
Lin Yi quickly glanced at his point balance:
2,107 points.
’Damn it! Just 93 points short!’
He couldn’t help but curse under his breath, a wave of frustration washing over him.
He was so close!
He snapped his head up, his gaze burning as he looked at Zhao Jun. An utterly innocent smile instantly appeared on his face, tinged with a hint of rascality.
"Instructor! Look... that Storage Ring is great and all, but at the end of the day, it’s just a glorified bag for holding stuff. It can hold things, but you can’t hit anyone with it! When it comes to practical use and a boost in combat power, how can it possibly compare to the Black Dragon Spear or the Thick Earth Seal? The point cost is set way too high! And look... I’m just 93 points short for this Star Spear. How about... you give me a little discount? Just round it off for me?"
Zhao Jun’s expression darkened, and he refused flatly,
"Nonsense! The point prices in the training camp are as immutable as iron laws! How can they be changed at will for one person? Rules are rules!"
His tone was ice-cold, leaving no room for negotiation.
Seeing this, Lin Yi’s eyes darted around. He immediately put on an understanding expression and muttered as if to himself, though just loud enough for Zhao Jun to hear,
"Sigh, alright, alright... I get the rules. 93 points isn’t that much. I’ll just go buy some from the other cadets! With my reputation around here, I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to help me out..."
Zhao Jun was stunned.
’Buying points again?’
"You dare!"
A vein pulsed on Zhao Jun’s forehead. He was so exasperated by the kid he almost laughed.
He could already picture the chaotic scene: Lin Yi running amok through the camp, using all sorts of "legitimate" means to buy up points.
’This kid really has the guts to think it and the guts to do it!’
Zhao Jun took a deep breath, fighting down the urge to throw the brat out on the spot. He spoke, practically through gritted teeth,
"...I’ll sponsor you the remaining 93 points myself! But—the second you’re done, you will immediately! Instantly! Pack your things and get the hell out of this training camp! Don’t you dare stay a second longer!"
Before the words were even out of his mouth,
BEEP!
A pleasant notification sound chimed from Lin Yi’s communicator:
[Instructor Zhao Jun has transferred +93 points to you!] (Note: Get lost!)
His total points instantly became an even 2,200!
’It’s enough!’
Overjoyed, and terrified that Zhao Jun would change his mind, Lin Yi’s finger tapped the exchange button with lightning speed!
[Points -2,200!]
[Star Spear exchange successful!]
A new notification followed:
[The Star Spear you have redeemed will be delivered to your dormitory by an automated drone in five minutes. Please be ready to receive it.]
Seeing Lin Yi’s point balance finally hit zero, Zhao Jun felt a huge weight lift from his shoulders. He let out a long, heavy sigh of relief, pointed to the door, and said decisively,
"Alright! You’ve got all your things. Now! Immediately! Instantly! Leave!"
"Thank you, Instructor! You’re too generous! I’ll go pack my bags right away. I promise I’ll disappear in a flash and won’t disrupt the training camp’s normal operations in the slightest!"
Completely satisfied, Lin Yi stood up, his movements incredibly brisk and efficient.
As Zhao Jun watched his retreating back, seeing him act all smug after getting his way, he couldn’t help but shake his head in resignation. And yet, the corners of his mouth turned up in a slight smile.
’This kid...’
’His talent is exceptional, but that shrewd, calculating nature of his—that refusal to ever lose out—is a talent in its own right.’
’I just hope he can go far out there, in the real dangers that await.’
