Chapter 269: Chapter 114: Corpse Hair Wind! Secret Hoard of the Qi Cultivator Sect

Before him, light and shadow distorted into a stretch of Chaos.

An unknown amount of time passed—or perhaps only an instant—before the nauseating dizziness abruptly vanished.

Lin Yi’s eyes shot open.

The scene before him instantly opened up.

An aura so thick it was suffocating rushed to greet him.

He was now inside the Alternate Space where the ancient tomb resided!

"HISS..."

Even with his resolute will, the moment Lin Yi saw the scene clearly, he couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.

How could this be called an ordinary tomb?

It was clearly a bizarre, boundless world, soaked in blood!

As far as the eye could see, there was no end in sight.

The sky was red!

The soil was red too!

The entire world seemed to have been steeped in blood, shrouded in a despairing crimson.

A coppery-sweet smell, so thick it was impossible to disperse, filled the air. Wisps of it burrowed into his nostrils and clung to the back of his throat, bringing waves of nausea and discomfort.

An indescribable aura—chilling, deathly silent, and bizarre—coiled around him from all directions like invisible tentacles, seeping into his very marrow.

Lin Yi’s heart hammered in his chest. His muscles instantly tensed, and he didn’t dare make the slightest move.

Alarm bells screamed in his mind:

’No wonder the principal stressed over and over that there was a huge problem with the Zhou family’s tomb! This godforsaken place is as sinister as it gets! The environment alone would be enough to drive a normal person mad!’

Just then, Zhou Tiankuo once again took out the jade array tablet.

As he channeled his Qi and Blood into it, the Array activated.

VMM!

A low hum resonated.

Behind them, at the entrance to the spatial tunnel, the Power of Space rippled violently like water before being smoothed over by an invisible, giant hand, vanishing without a trace in an instant.

"Boss Zhou, you sure work fast. We just got here and you’ve already sealed off our only way out?"

Lei Gang said gruffly, a smirk on his face.

The others, however, showed no surprise at Zhou Tiankuo’s actions.

After all, this ancient tomb was the Zhou family’s private property. Sealing the entrance to prevent outsiders from snooping or entering was a perfectly normal procedure.

A flicker passed through Lin Yi’s eyes, but inwardly, he relaxed.

In the instant the spatial tunnel had vanished, his Mosquito Avatar had already successfully slipped inside.

That being the case, it no longer mattered to him whether the entrance was sealed or not.

"Hmph." Zhou Tiankuo chuckled and said, "You misunderstand. I didn’t seal the entrance because I’m worried about outsiders getting in. I’m worried... that something foul from inside this tomb might get out."

No one bought his explanation.

The first level of the tomb had been cleared out long ago. What kind of foul thing could possibly escape from there?

However, none of them called him on it.

Beside them, the alluring Liu Mei had reined in her usual flirtatious demeanor. Her eyes held a deep sense of shock as she surveyed the endless, blood-soaked land and remarked with a sigh:

"Every time I come in here, I can’t help but feel my heart tremble! To think that such a vast space was folded, compressed, and hidden beneath the modern world by the Qi Cultivators of the Pre-Qin Era, using some supreme method! Such Divine Abilities are truly... inconceivable, beyond imagination!"

Upon hearing this, Lei Gang snorted coldly. A flicker of disdain flashed in his eyes as he said in his booming voice,

"So what if they were strong? Weren’t they still wiped out, leaving behind nothing but these ghastly tombs?"

"Not necessarily!" Zhou Tiankuo suddenly interjected. "The Pre-Qin Qi Cultivators may not have vanished!"

His words were like a stone tossed into still water, instantly causing a thousand ripples.

Everyone present was utterly shocked.

"What do you mean?"

"The Pre-Qin Qi Cultivators haven’t been wiped out?"

"If they weren’t wiped out, why don’t we see any trace of them now?"

Zhou Tiankuo said,

"Previously, the Pre-Qin Qi Cultivators vanished from Blue Star without a trace, leaving behind only countless ancient tombs like this one. So, we naturally assumed they were completely wiped out."

"But now that the Star Gates have reappeared in the world, the upper echelons of the Martial Dao world have come up with another, more daring theory..."

He paused deliberately, his gaze sweeping over their shocked and bewildered faces before he slowly continued,

"Some suspect that during the distant Pre-Qin Era, Blue Star itself may have undergone some sort of drastic change, becoming unsuitable for high-level Cultivation. Therefore, it’s highly possible that those powerful Pre-Qin Qi Cultivators used the Star Gates to migrate as a people... to other worlds!"

"What?!"

"They left through the Star Gates?!"

Zhou Tiankuo’s speculation was earth-shattering!

Du Qi’s eyes shot wide open, and he cried out,

"If the Pre-Qin Qi Cultivators really did just migrate to the Otherworld instead of being wiped out... doesn’t that mean that once the Levels of the existing Star Gates on Blue Star rise high enough, one day, those legendary beings... could return? They could descend upon Blue Star again?!"

"Heavens!" Liu Mei covered her red lips, her beautiful eyes flashing with a strange light. A hint of indescribable excitement and fear was in her voice. "Then... then does that mean we might have a chance to see a living... First Emperor?!"

Though Zhou Tiankuo’s words were only speculation, they instantly sent everyone present into a state of immense shock, their minds racing with possibilities.

If this shocking theory was true!

If the Pre-Qin Qi Cultivators of old—who could command the winds and rains, move mountains, and fill the seas—hadn’t actually perished, but had merely traveled as a whole through the Star Gates to another realm...

Then what earth-shattering cataclysm could have occurred on Blue Star back then?

What could have forced such powerful beings to abandon their homeland and leave everything behind?

And even more terrifying to consider was...

If, one day, the Star Gate Levels rose high enough for those legendary beings to truly return...

What kind of earth-shattering, unforeseeable impact would they have on a Blue Star that had since developed its own system of the Martial Dao?
