After that, Chu Feng, Bai Han, and the other two Martial Arts Venerables sat down together to discuss matters.

They decided to just set up a registration point and let their subordinates handle the rest of the arrangements.

In the end, the list of registrants just needed to be submitted to Chu Feng and the others for their review.

The four of them sat together, waiting. They would definitely have to make an appearance at the selection trials in the morning.

"Gentlemen, the selection trials are tomorrow morning. Who’s up first?" Chu Feng asked, looking at the two Martial Arts Venerables from the Three Swords Sect.

"I think it would be best if you went first, Brother Chu," said one of the Martial Arts Venerables from the Three Swords Sect.

"Huh? Me? But I’m not familiar with any of the rules," Chu Feng said.

"It’s very simple, Brother Chu. All you have to do is sit there and not worry about a thing. Just let the others handle the rest," said the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect.

"I don’t think that’s a good idea. It’s better if the Three Swords Sect goes first," Bai Han said. "Chu Feng doesn’t have any experience. We can watch from the back and step in immediately if anything happens."

"Since Venerable Bai Han has spoken, then fine. We’ll do it that way," the other Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect said with a nod.

"Then I’ll be counting on our brothers from the Three Swords Sect tomorrow," Chu Feng said with a smile. In truth, it didn’t make much difference.

It didn’t matter who went on the first day; the two Martial Arts Venerables from the Three Swords Sect were just being courteous.

Soon, it was midnight, and registration had closed.

The four from the Southern Venerable Hall gathered together.

"How did it go?" Bai Han asked.

"There’s quite a crowd. It looks like everyone piled in to register here. All in all, we have over four thousand people," a Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect said, handing over the list.

"Whoa, that really is a lot of people," Chu Feng remarked, raising an eyebrow as he saw the list.

"Haha, this is all thanks to you, Brother Chu. You’re famous now. Many young Martial Cultivators want to see you in person; they all came because of you," the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect said with a laugh.

"Oh? They all came for me? Then I imagine there must be quite a few geniuses here, right?" Chu Feng said with a smile.

"Of course. And if the champion comes from our region, that would be fantastic. Even the four of us would receive generous rewards," the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect said with a smile.

"What? We get rewards too?" Chu Feng looked surprised. He hadn’t expected such a good thing.

"That’s right. The Martial Arts Grand Ceremony has a rule: the Martial Arts Venerables from the champion’s home region are responsible for personally instructing them. So, they essentially become our students. Don’t you think we, as their teachers, would get a reward for that?"

The Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect explained these matters to Chu Feng.

Realization dawned on Chu Feng after hearing this.

"Oh, so that’s how it is. Getting a reward is pretty nice. At least we’re not working for nothing," Chu Feng said.

"Tomorrow’s selection trials will be held at a different location," said the Venerable from the Three Swords Sect.

"Huh? Where?" Chu Feng was a bit confused.

"A trial in the Grand Canyon to the south," Bai Han explained to Chu Feng. "As long as you can earn three points, you advance. You get one point for every person you defeat."

Simply put, they were throwing these four thousand-plus people into the Grand Canyon and letting them do as they pleased, on the condition that there were no fatalities.

Each person would have a points Token. Every time they defeated someone, they would get one point. Reaching three points would allow them to enter the next round. Losing a fight meant elimination.

"What if people team up and attack together? Wouldn’t that be unfair?" Chu Feng asked.

"That’s beyond our control. The rules don’t say you can’t team up," said the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect. "It comes down entirely to an individual’s luck and strength. As long as they can advance and no one gets killed, it’s fine."

In truth, none of them were too worried about that.

Because truly powerful Martial Cultivation Disciples would never stoop to such a level.

Teaming up to bully others was just the strong preying on the weak. When they encountered someone truly powerful, they would be the ones taking a beating.

They might even be ganged up on by the other participants.

"Brother Chu, and you as well, Venerable Bai Han—even though you won’t be presiding tomorrow, please remain vigilant. The last thing we want during the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony is an accident. If something happens and we can’t handle it in time, we’ll be in big trouble," said the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect.

"Don’t worry, I’ll be there myself," Chu Feng said with a smile. "My wife is in the competition too."

"Huh? Brother Chu, you’re not joking, are you? Your wife is competing?" The two Martial Arts Venerables from the Three Swords Sect were dumbfounded.

"It’s true. So, I’ll have to ask you two brothers to help keep an eye out for her," Chu Feng said, cupping his fists toward them.

"Of course, of course! Don’t you worry, Brother Chu. With us here, she’ll be fine," the two Martial Arts Venerables from the Three Swords Sect hastily agreed.

There was no conflict between their respective sides, and they got along quite pleasantly.

The key was that Chu Feng was still so young; his future achievements were bound to reach an even higher level. If they could build a good relationship with him, it would be a tremendous benefit to their Three Swords Sect.
