"You’ve been to the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony before, haven’t you, you old coot?" Chu Feng asked.

"Of course! I’ve lived this long, how could I have never been? Fifty years ago, I was in my prime. I took a spot in the top thirty, and that’s when I earned the nickname ’Madman Chu’."

Chu Tianshan beamed, his face full of smug satisfaction. However, the Chu Family couldn’t even break into the top one hundred these days. The contrast was just too great.

So what if he was wild in his youth? He was old now, after all. There was no denying that the Chu Family had fallen into decline.

But no matter what, the Chu Family still had Chu Feng. With a monster like him around, the Chu Family’s position would remain unshakable.

Besides, with his peerless talent, he was sure to nurture many geniuses for the Chu Family in the future.

"You must have been pretty fierce back then. Nowadays, just in the Southern Region, you basically have to be in the Foundation Establishment Realm to even get into the top thirty," Chu Feng said with a smile.

Chu Feng wasn’t exaggerating. That was really how things were; a great many Foundation Establishment Realm Cultivators had come.

"Alright, enough about that. Come have a drink with me. We can head over tomorrow morning," Chu Tianshan said with a smile, handing Chu Feng a wine cup.

The table was laden with roasted meat, looking quite sumptuous.

Just then, Chu Tianshan called Su Miaoke over as well.

"Honey, what are you doing back?" Su Miaoke looked surprised, not having expected Chu Feng’s return.

"I’m fine. I just came back to check on things. Mostly to check on you," Chu Feng said with a laugh.

"Hmph, and here I thought you’d forgotten all about me," Su Miaoke said, smiling.

"How could I? Hurry up and eat. We should rest up after. The selection tournament tomorrow will probably be exhausting," Chu Feng said.

"Hmph, what’s so great about this food? I’d rather go back to bed," Su Miaoke said, glancing at Chu Feng.

"You really will say anything, won’t you? So many people are watching," Chu Feng chuckled, surprised at how bold Su Miaoke was.

"What? We’re a legally married couple. Going back to bed together is perfectly normal, isn’t it?" Su Miaoke said with a pout.

"Yeah, I think your wife is right. You two should hurry up and go to bed," Chu Tianshan chimed in at that moment.

"You old coot, are you even eavesdropping on a private conversation between a couple now? You have no shame," Chu Feng retorted.

"Hahaha, how old are you now? You still get shy like you’re seventeen or eighteen? Say, why don’t you sing a song for us?" Chu Tianshan said with a laugh.

"What? Sing? How am I supposed to sing in a place like this?" Chu Feng was speechless.

"Honey, just sing one! Your singing voice is so good. Come on, one song!" Su Miaoke joined in the teasing.

"Young Master, don’t worry. We have karaoke equipment here. We brought it specifically so everyone could relax when they have free time," Wang Hong said with a smile at that moment.

"So you all came prepared," Chu Feng instantly realized. These guys had planned this all along.

"Sing one, sing one!"

Soon, all the Chu Family disciples were chanting along.

The atmosphere was already buzzing with anticipation. It would be a real mood killer if Chu Feng refused.

"Sigh, alright, I’ll sing one. Just one," Chu Feng said, standing up. Someone then brought him a microphone.

Soon, Chu Feng began to sing, and everyone waited in anticipation.

Many pairs of eyes were fixed on Chu Feng, eagerly awaiting his song.

The moment the melody started, everyone was swept up by the rhythm.

As Chu Feng’s voice rang out, everyone’s eyes lit up.

His voice was rich and magnetic, his pitch perfect. It was almost identical to the original recording.

This left everyone listening in stunned amazement.

"Damn, I never knew you had a talent like this, kid. You’re good," Chu Tianshan exclaimed in shock after hearing him.

It wasn’t just Chu Tianshan; everyone else felt the same way.

"That’s the only song I know. My skills are limited, so please don’t laugh," Chu Feng said with a smile.

What followed was a round of applause from the crowd.

Everyone was thoroughly impressed by Chu Feng’s singing ability.

After that, Chu Feng ate with them for about another half hour before taking his wife back to rest.

After all, they were an old married couple. When it was time for bed, you do what you do.

Life, after all, needs a little lubrication now and then.

Early the next morning, as the sun rose, a bell tolled across the Big Snow Plateau.

This signaled the imminent start of the selection tournament.

"Time to get up. The tournament is about to start," Chu Feng said to Su Miaoke.

"It’s so early... Maybe I just won’t go. It’s way too early," Su Miaoke said reluctantly.

She hadn’t gotten enough sleep.

"The sun’s probably already visible over the Big Snow Plateau. It’s not early anymore. Besides, I’m not the one who set the time; those old fogeys did," Chu Feng said with a laugh.
