Chapter 436: Broke Through

“Yes, he’s a Ninja from the Wo Country. He’s very strong, equivalent to the Martial Arts Peak Realm. I just came to tell Chu Feng that Xue Wujian has already taken action,” Bai Han said.

“That guy? Can he beat him?” Su Miaoke asked.

“It shouldn’t be a problem. Xue Wujian’s strength is nothing to scoff at. While he can’t compare to Junior Brother Chu Feng, he’s no slouch either,” Bai Han said.

“Alright. Senior Sister, you can go about your business. I’ll tell Chu Feng as soon as he’s done with his cultivation,” Su Miaoke said, standing guard at the door to the room.

「Time passed quickly, and another day went by in the blink of an eye.」

Inside the room, Chu Feng was sitting cross-legged on his bed, cultivating. He clutched several Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones, the Spiritual Power within them flowing ceaselessly into his palms.

It traveled through his meridians, coursed through his body, and finally settled into his Dantian.

At this moment, Chu Feng’s Dantian was like a vast, boundless ocean, the sound of crashing waves echoing within.

This was all due to the immense Spiritual Power roiling in his Dantian. The sound alone was enough to make one’s heart pound in their chest.

BOOM—

Whistling and booming sounds rang out continuously.

Chu Feng felt a tremendous force erupt from his Dantian, causing his face to flush and his skin to radiate a red glow.

His power was increasing, and his Dantian was expanding.

As one’s power grows, the Dantian can expand continuously. In theory, it can become infinitely large, as long as one’s cultivation never stops advancing.

In the later stages of cultivation, it wasn’t impossible for a Dantian to rival the size of a galaxy, or even the universe itself.

“Break!” Chu Feng uttered a single word.

With a deafening BOOM, he felt a violent rumble from within his body.

His Dantian instantly expanded severalfold, and Spiritual Power surged in from the void, completely filling it.

At the same time, Chu Feng felt his Divine Soul being nourished, rapidly strengthening and expanding.

In that same instant, his Divine Soul’s perception sharpened by a factor of hundreds, its sensory range expanding to over a thousand meters!

‘Whoa… My Divine Soul can now scan an area over a thousand meters around me.’ Chu Feng opened his eyes, his face alight with joy.

He had reached the Peak of Core Formation!

‘So this is the Peak of Core Formation? It’s on a whole other level!’ Chu Feng threw a punch, feeling as if he had shattered the very air around him. An explosive sound echoed, brimming with power.

“Looks like dealing with those at the Martial Arts Limit will be even easier now,” Chu Feng said with a smile.

He walked out of the room to find Su Miaoke asleep, slumped over a table.

‘You silly girl.’ Chu Feng’s heart ached as he looked at her.

Even though Su Miaoke wasn’t very strong, she had been worried about him being disturbed. So she had stood guard at the door, acting as his protector.

Chu Feng gently lifted her into his arms, carried her to the bed, and tucked her in. As he watched her sleep, a faint smile graced his lips.

“Now it’s my turn to watch over you,” Chu Feng whispered with a smile.

And so, Chu Feng watched over Su Miaoke as she slept, staying by her side until dawn.

Su Miaoke slowly stirred awake. Drowsily, she saw Chu Feng sitting by her bed. She quickly sat up and asked, “Husband, how did I get in bed? Are you finished with your cultivation?”

She glanced at the room, then back at Chu Feng, and understood. He must have carried her here.

Before she could say anything, Chu Feng spoke up. “I’m done cultivating. Thank you, honey,” he said.

“Huh? What are you thanking me for? Besides, we’ve been together for so long. Do we really need to be so formal?” Su Miaoke said.

“You stood guard for me for so long. Shouldn’t I thank you?” Chu Feng said with a smile.

“Hmph! What’s our relationship? Of course I should protect you! If you say things like that again, I’m not speaking to you anymore,” Su Miaoke huffed, sounding slightly annoyed.

In truth, she just didn’t want him to be so distant.

“Haha, alright, alright. I’ll remember. I won’t say it again,” Chu Feng said with a laugh.

“I’ll have someone bring you some breakfast. You must be starving,” he continued.

“Nope. I want you to make it for me, husband,” Su Miaoke said, pouting playfully.

At this, Chu Feng could only smile and shake his head in fond exasperation.

‘He was helpless. What could he do? She was his wife, after all. If she wanted him to cook, then he would cook. It’s a man’s job to dote on his own wife.’

“Then wait for me. I’ll go make it for you right now,” Chu Feng said.

“Oh, husband, I was just kidding! Don’t go. You have a lot to do. Senior Sister Bai Han came looking for you earlier, but I didn’t let her disturb you since you were still in cultivation.”

“A number of powerful enemies have arrived from overseas. There’s a Ninja from the Wo Country who has killed a lot of people. Shouldn’t you go take a look at that first?” Su Miaoke said.

“Powerful enemies from overseas? Alright, it should be fine. There are others to handle it, after all. I’ll make breakfast first; it won’t be a big delay. I’m hungry too,” Chu Feng said with a smile.

‘Besides, there were twenty-four Martial Arts Venerables in total. One more or one less of him wouldn’t make a difference.’

‘Right now, the most important thing was to make breakfast. He couldn’t let his wife go hungry.’
