My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 448: Teaming Up
Within the Snow Mountain Sect, a lone figure stood in the great hall.
This was the Sect Leader of the Snow Mountain Sect, a man of immense power.
“Refuse them. We’ve already helped the Spirit Sword Valley so much at the Martial Cultivator’s Hall. Now they want us to make an enemy of Chu Feng? That means becoming outright enemies with the Celestial Sword Sect. How is that possible? Go and tell Elder Xue Feng to come back tonight,” the Snow Mountain Sect Leader said directly.
He didn’t hesitate in the slightest, as if he had made up his mind long ago.
“Sect Leader, what about the Madam? How do we explain it to her?”
“Explain? Explain my ass! Am I supposed to sacrifice the entire Snow Mountain Sect for some woman? Absolutely not!” the Snow Mountain Sect Leader shouted.
“Understood, Sect Leader. I’ll go myself and tell Brother Xue Feng not to get involved. The Spirit Sword Valley is acting like a bunch of madmen, constantly dragging people into this scheme to annihilate Chu Feng and the Celestial Sword Sect. It’s too dangerous. One wrong move, and our entire Sect could be wiped out,” an Elder from the Snow Mountain Sect below said.
In truth, no one in the Snow Mountain Sect could stand the Spirit Sword Valley.
Those people acted high and mighty just because of a few connections, looking down on everyone.
If the Snow Mountain Sect Leader’s wife hadn’t been from the Spirit Sword Valley, they probably wouldn’t have given the so-called Spirit Sword Valley the time of day.
To put it bluntly, they offered nothing, not a single benefit, yet they expected people to risk their lives for them. Not only that, but they also expected you to gamble your entire Sect’s fate. Who in their right mind would agree to that?
They really thought they could control all the Sects in the world just because of a few women.
Meanwhile, the Spirit Sword Valley was busy gathering allies, summoning all the Sects with which they had connections.
The upper echelons of various major Sects had already gathered inside the Eastern Venerable Hall.
There were at least several dozen Martial Arts Peak Realm cultivators present—a considerable number.
Leading them was the Vice Valley Master of the Spirit Sword Valley, who wore his usual arrogant and domineering expression.
“Everyone, you are all practically family to my Spirit Sword Valley. We are all one big family. But during this Martial Arts Grand Ceremony, someone provoked your in-laws, thinking the Spirit Sword Valley was an easy target. So this time, the Spirit Sword Valley will make them understand just how hard we are to provoke!”
“Once it strikes twelve, I hope you will all attack with your full strength. I am entrusting this to you,” the Vice Valley Master of the Spirit Sword Valley said.
Hearing this, the Martial Arts Peak Realm cultivators below were left speechless.
‘What does he mean, someone provoked them? It was clearly the people from Spirit Sword Valley who were being overbearing. And now they want us all to fight for them? The key is that Chu Feng is a ruthless one.’
During the earlier duels, the Spirit Sword Valley had sent out seven great masters, and all seven of them ended up dead.
Those people were from other Sects and had absolutely no connection to the Spirit Sword Valley.
They were basically sending people to their deaths. Now they wanted them to go die, too. This left many of them deeply dissatisfied.
Why should everyone else have to clean up the mess the Spirit Sword Valley started? No one would be happy about that.
“Vice Valley Master, Chu Feng’s background is anything but ordinary. He’s from the Celestial Sword Sect, and he’s incredibly powerful. On top of that, the Celestial Sword Sect Leader is not someone to be trifled with—she’s a ruthless character. For you to ask us to attack… we’ll have to consider this carefully,” someone said.
“So what if the Celestial Sword Sect Leader is strong? She’s only one person. With so many of us here, should we be afraid of her? When the time comes, we’ll all attack together. It would only take one slash from each of us to cut her down.”
“First, we’ll kill Chu Feng here. Then, we’ll charge straight to the Celestial Sword Sect and annihilate them completely. As for the Celestial Sword Sect’s various resources, it will all come down to your speed and luck. First come, first served,” the Vice Valley Master of the Spirit Sword Valley said.
As soon as he said this, the cultivators below grew excited, their greed beginning to stir.
The Celestial Sword Sect was a Sect over a thousand years old. Its legacy was ancient, and it was sure to possess countless classic secret manuals. Its foundations were incredibly deep.
And so, everyone was tempted. Truly tempted.
“Vice Valley Master, are you serious?” someone asked, a glint in their eyes.
If that was the case, many of them would likely go and give it a try.
“Of course it’s true. Whoever gets their hands on it, whether it’s resources or secret manuals, gets to keep it. That includes anything and everything in the Celestial Sword Sect. And of course, the female disciples of the Celestial Sword Sect will be yours to handle as you please. After all, they are some very beautiful disciples,” the Vice Valley Master of the Spirit Sword Valley said with a cold smile.
As he spoke, killing intent surged in his eyes, and his hatred soared to the heavens.
In reality, the only reason everyone was hesitant to act was the lack of benefits. No one was willing to do a job with no reward.
Now that the Vice Valley Master of the Spirit Sword Valley had made such a promise, their expressions immediately changed. Their eyes filled with anticipation.
They all seemed thrilled, eager to take part.
Not only would there be all sorts of secret manuals from the Celestial Sword Sect, but more importantly, there would also be the female disciples to enjoy. The thought of it excited them to their very core.
