My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 464: Safe and Sound
“Miaoke is in her room, but she’s still very worried about Chu Feng’s safety. She hadn’t even gone to bed when I stopped by a moment ago. How about I go tell her the news?” Bai Han suggested.
“Yes, you should. Let her know so she can stop worrying. Even if Chu Feng hadn’t gone to clean house, I was about to do it myself. It’s high time things were settled with the Snow Sword Sect,” the Celestial Sword Sect Leader said.
“Alright, Master. I’ll head over now,” Bai Han said, nodding.
“Chu Feng should be on his way back by now. The Snow Sword Sect may have been traitors, but they had considerable resources. I’m sure all of it has fallen into Chu Feng’s hands,” the Celestial Sword Sect Leader said with a smile.
She was right. Chu Feng was already on his way back, and he was moving incredibly fast—even faster than an airplane.
Meanwhile, Su Miaoke was pacing back and forth in her room, frantic with worry over Chu Feng’s safety.
She hadn’t heard a single thing and had no idea how Chu Feng was faring. The entire Celestial Sword Sect was eerily quiet, as if poised for a major battle, and the tense atmosphere only deepened her fears.
Just then, a knock came at the door.
Su Miaoke rushed to open the door, her heart filled with anticipation.
However, when she opened the door, she saw it was only Bai Han. The hopeful expression on Su Miaoke’s face instantly dimmed, replaced by a touch of disappointment.
“Senior Sister Bai Han? Why is it you? Where’s Chu Feng? How is he? Is there any news? It’s so late, is he alright?” Su Miaoke asked in a rush, her face etched with worry.
“Calm down, don’t worry. I came to tell you some good news. Chu Feng is perfectly safe; nothing happened to him at all. You can relax,” Bai Han said with a smile.
“Really? That’s wonderful! But if it’s so late, why isn’t he back yet?” Su Miaoke breathed a sigh of relief, but then another question followed.
Even though she was told Chu Feng was safe, she was still worried that he wasn’t back yet, afraid he might have run into some other danger.
“He’s probably at the Snow Sword Sect with the Chu Family’s patriarch right now. Don’t worry, the Sect Leader has already sent people over. They should be able to contact Chu Feng very soon, so please, rest assured,” Bai Han comforted her.
She didn’t mention the details of the battle, afraid that Su Miaoke would only worry more if she heard them.
“What are they doing at the Snow Sword Sect?” Su Miaoke asked.
“Didn’t he mention he was going to clean house? He’s probably doing that now. After all, the Snow Sword Sect’s three Martial Arts Peak Realm masters are dead, and all their disciples have fled,” Bai Han explained.
“He really went?” Su Miaoke was speechless.
At first, she had just thought Chu Feng was bluffing. She never imagined he would actually go through with cleaning house.
“Mhm, it’s already finished. He’s probably cleaning up the battlefield and taking stock of everything right now,” Bai Han said with a smile.
Her mood brightened considerably as she spoke. They had finally dealt with the Celestial Sword Sect’s greatest enemy.
The Celestial Sword Sect Leader had always wanted to eradicate the Snow Sword Sect, but she had never found the right time or opportunity.
Besides, Bai Han was the only one in the Celestial Sword Sect at the Martial Arts Peak Realm. In a direct confrontation with the Snow Sword Sect, they wouldn’t hold much of an advantage. If their enemy called for allies, the Celestial Sword Sect might even end up at a disadvantage.
As for what happened tonight, Chu Feng felt he’d had no choice. It wasn’t that he was particularly bloodthirsty.
It was just that those people had gone too far, treating him like he was an easy target to be slaughtered at will.
If Chu Feng hadn’t acted, they would have taken his head.
How could Chu Feng possibly stand for that? So, he took them all out.
And those guys from the Snow Sword Sect had truly been courting death. They had been causing trouble for him from the very beginning, and had even conspired with the Spirit Sword Valley to kill him. How could Chu Feng possibly tolerate that?
He wouldn’t have cleaned house so soon, but now he had been forced to.
“Senior Brother Chu Feng is back!” At that moment, a disciple of the Celestial Sword Sect shouted, their voice echoing throughout the entire sect.
Before anyone could even process the news, Chu Feng had already arrived inside the Celestial Sword Hall.
At that moment, the Celestial Sword Sect Leader personally came out to greet him, her excitement obvious.
Upon seeing Chu Feng, she asked excitedly, “Is the Snow Sword Sect gone?”
“Yes, Master. The Snow Sword Sect is no more. From now on, there will be no such place. I’ve already had the Chu Family haul away all of their resources,” Chu Feng said with a smile.
“Mm. Good, good, good. If they’ve been hauled away, then so be it. This was all your doing, anyway. The Celestial Sword Sect doesn’t care about such meager scraps,” the Celestial Sword Sect Leader said with a smile.
“Master, I’m going to check on my wife first. I’ll come back to talk with you later,” Chu Feng said. He was still very worried about her.
He cared deeply for Su Miaoke and was afraid that making her wait any longer would drive her mad with worry.
“Yes, go on. That girl has been worried sick. If you hadn’t come back soon, she probably would have cried her eyes out,” the Celestial Sword Sect Leader said with a smile.
She was now exceptionally pleased with Chu Feng, and felt incredibly fortunate to have taken on such a disciple.
Just as Chu Feng was about to leave, Bai Han arrived, bringing Su Miaoke with her.
“Chu Feng,” Bai Han called out when she saw him.
