My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 467: 2 People
“Then you should work even harder on your cultivation. Otherwise, how will you keep up with me?” Chu Feng said with a smile.
‘He hadn’t even considered something so far in the future.’
‘After all, he hadn’t even dealt with Crossing the Tribulation, yet here he was, thinking about becoming an immortal or a god? Impossible.’
“Yes, honey, don’t worry. I’ll definitely work hard on my cultivation,” Su Miaoke said, nodding seriously. A sense of worry began to grow in her heart.
She worried that if Chu Feng really was about to become an immortal, the distance between them would only grow. This filled her with a sense of urgency.
Meanwhile, Chu Feng was also actively searching for a Soul Cultivation technique. Finding one would be a tremendous help to his family.
This solidified his decision: he had to make a trip to Misty Immortal Mountain.
However, at that moment, Chu Feng suddenly remembered something.
“Damn, I almost forgot about something really important,” Chu Feng said.
“Huh? What is it?” Su Miaoke asked.
“It’s Li Zhengyi from the Cloud Mist Sect. I still haven’t told him about his master,” Chu Feng said.
“You mean the winner of the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony? Li Zhengyi?” Su Miaoke asked.
“Yeah, that’s him. But he’s probably long gone by now,” Chu Feng said with a sigh.
‘Li Zhengyi only came here for his master. Now that he has the Essence Enhancing Pill, he’s definitely gone.’
‘After all, his master is waiting for that Essence Enhancing Pill to save his life, so he would have left right away.’
By the time Chu Feng remembered, Li Zhengyi had likely already returned to his Sect.
The Cloud Mist Sect was located deep within a great mountain. It was less a formal Sect and more a small Taoist temple, built in seclusion and isolated from the rest of the world.
After several days of arduous travel, Li Zhengyi finally returned to his Sect.
“Master, your disciple has returned! I won first place at the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony and brought back the Essence Enhancing Pill for you!” Li Zhengyi shouted excitedly, his heart soaring with the thought that his master could finally be saved.
But the temple was eerily silent; not a single sound came from within.
Li Zhengyi felt a knot of unease. He hurried to the entrance and pushed the main gate open. The courtyard was empty.
In the main hall stood a single statue: a figure holding a sword, gazing toward the distant horizon.
“Master, come out! I got the Essence Enhancing Pill for you!” Li Zhengyi yelled into the hall.
Still, there was only silence.
The truth was, Li Zhengyi had never stopped to consider it. With his master’s power, how could he ever be short of something like an Essence Enhancing Pill? Even if his master couldn’t obtain one himself, he could have easily bought one or borrowed it from a friend.
He then rushed into his master’s room.
On the table lay a letter, already covered in a thin layer of dust. It looked like it had been there for a long time.
When Li Zhengyi opened the letter and read its contents, the color instantly drained from his face.
“No! This is impossible!” Li Zhengyi roared.
The letter explained everything. It revealed that his master had gone to face his Tribulation, and that sending him to the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony was merely a ruse to get him out of the way.
It was a truth he found difficult to accept.
“Chu Feng! That bastard Chu Feng definitely knows where my master went! The last person my master spoke with was him!” At that moment, Li Zhengyi’s mind fixated on one person. His eyes turned bloodshot as he ground his teeth in fury.
‘Chu Feng left for a few days right after talking to my master. He must have seen him.’
He then packed a few things and rushed out of the temple.
Among his belongings were items his master had left for him.
At this time, Chu Feng had brought Su Miaoke to the Snow Sword Sect. Numerous helicopters were parked there, and all sorts of things were being continuously loaded onto them.
Chu Feng was dumbfounded when he saw the scene. ‘That Chu Tianshan is really something else. He’s taking practically everything that isn’t nailed down.’
Even the gates, tables, and chairs.
Just then, someone noticed something flash across the sky.
The sky was beginning to brighten, so it was possible to make things out more clearly.
“I think I just saw something fly past overhead,” the pilot in the cockpit of a parked helicopter being loaded said uncertainly.
“Hmm? At this hour? Probably just a bird or something. Maybe an owl,” the co-pilot replied.
“No, it definitely wasn’t an owl. I think… it looked like a person. Or maybe two people, flying,” the pilot said.
“What? People? You’re kidding, right?” the co-pilot said in astonishment.
Ordinarily, he would have thought it impossible. But their arrival here had already been full of surprises. He never expected to find these so-called Outer World Sects in the Great Snow Mountain, sects that seemed to possess special abilities.
‘Could it be them?’
And so, they began to speculate.
After all, the Great Snow Mountain was a no-fly zone. Not even helicopters could enter without special clearance, or they risked being shot down.
