My Pervert Sytem

Chapter 194: First Blood on the Water

  • Next Chapter

Leon rested his hand on the hilt of his dark steel blade, his muscles buzzing with devastating kinetic potential. The wait was finally over. The first blood of the war was about to be spilled on the water, and he intended to make sure the ocean ran black with Vaelorian blood.

The Vaelorian scout ship tore through the crashing waves with unnatural, terrifying speed. The grotesque vessel did not rely on traditional wind or sails. The fleshy, pulsing veins crawling across its dark iron hull seemed to propel it forward, utilizing a twisted form of corrupted blood magic to slice through the harsh ocean currents.

Leon stood on the raised wooden platform, his midnight eyes tracking the incoming monster. The dreadnought was rapidly approaching the optimal firing range of the coastal blockade.

"Hold your fire!" Captain Nyx bellowed, her hands gripping the wooden railing tightly. "Wait for my mark! Let them get deep into the kill zone!"

The corsairs manning the star-metal cannons sweat profusely in the cold air. The tension on the docks was thick enough to cut with a blade. They had never faced a living ship before. The jagged bone plating protecting the Vaelorian hull looked incredibly dense, capable of shrugging off standard iron artillery with ease.

But Master Ignis had not forged standard artillery.

The scout ship breached the two-mile marker, the dark, rotting wood of its bow clearly visible through the lingering fog. Several massive, armored figures stood on the deck, holding jagged boarding pikes that glowed with a sickly violet light.

"Fire!" Nyx roared, dropping her arm in a swift, decisive motion.

The entire harbor erupted into a deafening, apocalyptic symphony of destruction.

Fifty star-metal cannons discharged simultaneously. The concussive recoil rattled the wooden piers, sending violent tremors through the cobblestone streets behind them. Blinding streaks of condensed, searing fire-mana rocketed across the gray ocean, leaving trails of burning ozone in their wake.

The Vaelorian scout ship attempted to initiate a sudden, evasive maneuver, but the vessel was simply too large to dodge a synchronized artillery barrage.

A dozen fiery projectiles slammed directly into the side of the grotesque dreadnought. The impact was catastrophic. The searing magical heat violently melted through the dark iron and shattered the corrupted bone plating. Massive explosions tore through the fleshy veins lining the hull, causing the ship to shriek with a horrifying, organic wail that sounded like a dying beast.

"Reload!" Nyx commanded, a dark, victorious laugh escaping her lips as she watched the enemy vessel burst into bright orange flames.

The scout ship rapidly began taking on water, its unnatural momentum stalling completely as the fiery explosions crippled its magical propulsion system. The Vaelorian soldiers on the deck were thrown violently into the freezing ocean, their heavy black armor dragging them down into the dark abyss.

A glowing interface chimed softly in the chaotic air, projecting a bright text box directly over the burning wreckage in the distance.

[System Prompt: The Warlord’s Bet]

[The fierce corsair just secured the first kill of the naval war. You made a promise. Ensure she knows you intend to keep it.]

[Task: Lean close to Nyx. Grip her hip firmly, flash a dark grin, and whisper that she just won the wager and should start preparing for her reward.]

[Reward: +20 Agility, 600 Shameless Points.]

[Penalty: A sensory curse making your voice sound like a fragile, cracking teenager for two hours.]

Leon smirked, welcoming the brief moment of triumph.

He stepped up beside the cheering captain. He reached out with his left hand, gripping the curve of her hip with a firm, possessive pressure.

Nyx gasped, her triumphant laughter stalling as the blistering warmth of his touch anchored her to the spot.

"You just won the wager, Captain," Leon whispered darkly, his resonant voice cutting through the ringing in her ears. "I suggest you start preparing for your reward the moment this battle ends."

The seasoned mercenary flushed a brilliant shade of crimson. Her heart hammered against her ribs, the intoxicating promise of his dominant attention scrambling her military focus. She leaned into his grip, a soft, breathless sigh escaping her scarred lips.

[Quest Complete. Stat Rewards Distributed.]

A rushing tide of pure speed fortified his nervous system. His reflexes sharpened significantly, a vital upgrade that arrived just in time.

The burning wreckage of the Vaelorian scout ship suddenly groaned in structural agony. The ship was sinking, but the dark magic sustaining it refused to die quietly.

The ocean surrounding the flaming hull began to violently churn and bubble. The corrupted blood leaking from the dying vessel mixed with the seawater, creating a swirling, toxic whirlpool.

"Something is moving in the water," Leon warned, his enhanced Perception catching a massive, dark shape rocketing beneath the waves toward the docks.

"Brace the line!" Nyx shouted, drawing her twin cutlasses and stepping away from the cannons.

The dark shape breached the surface of the harbor with a terrifying, explosive leap.

It was a Vaelorian marine beast, a horrific mutation designed specifically for amphibious assault. The creature resembled a massive, bipedal shark, standing over ten feet tall. Its body was covered in thick, dark iron scales, and its muscular arms ended in jagged, bone-crushing claws. Sickly violet energy pulsed from the gills lining its thick neck.

The monster possessed the suffocating, dense magical pressure of a Tier One Adept, relying purely on raw physical mass and brutal aggression.

The beast crashed down onto the wooden pier, instantly crushing a nearby cannon and sending two screaming corsairs tumbling into the freezing water.

Leon did not wait for the monster to orient itself.

He activated his spatial footwork, folding the distance to materialize directly in front of the towering horror. He drew his heavy dark steel blade in a smooth, continuous motion.

The marine beast roared, a deafening sound that sprayed corrosive saliva across the wet wooden planks. It swung a massive, scaled arm, aiming to cleave Leon in half with its jagged claws.

Leon ducked under the wild swing, his newly enhanced Agility making the monster’s movements look sluggish. He channeled a dense surge of Kinetic Weight into his blade, turning the metal into an impossibly heavy instrument of destruction.

He drove the blunt steel upward in a devastating uppercut, aiming directly for the creature’s exposed ribcage.

The impact sounded like a bomb detonating. The raw kinetic force shattered the thick iron scales, violently cracking the beast’s ribs and launching the ten-foot monster backward across the pier.

The creature hit the ground hard, but its corrupted cellular regeneration kicked in instantly. It scrambled back to its feet, its violet eyes burning with mindless, fanatical fury. It opened its massive jaws, preparing to unleash a torrent of high-pressure, acidic water from its internal glands.

Before the beast could fire, a blinding flash of vibrant green light illuminated the docks.

Isolde Vane vaulted over a stack of wooden shipping crates, her green tabard snapping in the sea breeze. The Emerald Knight moved with flawless, aristocratic grace. She thrust her glowing rapier forward, unleashing a concentrated, piercing beam of emerald mana.

The magical strike pierced the beast’s open throat, cleanly severing its vocal cords and disrupting the acidic buildup. The monster gurgled, choking on its own toxic bile.

Leon capitalized on the opening immediately. He charged forward, wrapping his left fist in a dense, glowing sphere of pure white kinetic energy. He leaped into the air, bringing his fist down in a catastrophic, hammering strike directly onto the center of the beast’s skull.

The kinetic shockwave exploded downward, instantly pulverizing the monster’s brain and violently driving its massive body through the wooden pier. The lifeless carcass plummeted into the dark water below, sinking like a stone.

"Flawless timing, Lady Isolde," Leon praised, landing smoothly on the edge of the broken dock. He rolled his thick shoulders, his breath steady and calm despite the brutal exertion.

Isolde landed gracefully beside him, her chest heaving slightly. She offered a proud, breathless smile, her bright green eyes shining with genuine affection.

"I prefer to keep my favorite dining partner in one piece," Isolde murmured, stepping close enough that their shoulders brushed.

The brief moment of victory was violently interrupted by a sudden, terrifying shift in the atmosphere.

The dark, unnatural storm front hovering on the distant horizon began to aggressively expand. The thick gray fog was swallowed by a sprawling, suffocating wall of pitch-black clouds that blotted out the morning sun entirely.

A low, vibrating hum echoed across the ocean, a sound so deep and resonant that it physically rattled the cobblestones of the capital streets.

The Vaelorian armada had finally arrived.

Leon stared out at the dark horizon, his striking features hardening into a mask of pure warlord calculation. Thousands of dark iron ships began to slowly emerge from the shadows, their corrupted bone plating catching the faint ambient light.

"The scout ship was just a distraction," Leon stated grimly, resting his heavy weapon on his shoulder. "They wanted us to reveal our artillery positions."

Nyx walked up to the edge of the pier, her scarred lip curling into a fierce snarl. "Then we adjust our aim. Tell your men to hold the line, Leon. The real war starts now."
