My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 721: The Chosen Path? World Slaughter Form Enhancement!

“This dragon comes and goes without a trace. It’s quite terrifying,” Su Chen grumbled inwardly. He watched as the dragon’s head circled him once, its nostrils flaring as if sniffing out the information on his body.

The suspicion in its eyes grew increasingly heavy.

“Why has your Talent… transformed?” a deep, muffled voice echoed beside Su Chen’s ears.

“This dragon has quite the curiosity,” Su Chen muttered to himself, yet he nodded with absolute decisiveness. “That’s right. My Talent has transformed into the dual True Radiance tier. How about it? Impressive, right? Just make me a Chosen One right now.”

Su Chen clearly saw the massive dragon head pause. Immediately after, a wisp of Flowing Light drifted out and merged into his body.

His expression blanked. “The Path of the Chosen?”

“There are two methods to become a Chosen One. Completing either of them will suffice.”

Su Chen was quite astonished. “Why didn’t it tell me this earlier? Is it because my Talent was only at the Divine Dawn level?”

The Spirit of Sun’s disdain for lower Talents was truly severe. Although this entity had made an exception and granted him the qualification for the Three Dragon Shadows, it had never actually intended to list him as a true candidate. If his Talent hadn’t transformed to True Radiance, he still wouldn’t know what this “Path of the Chosen” was. Furthermore, the Residual Spirit had never mentioned it either, likely concealing it on purpose.

As the information flowed into his mind, Su Chen couldn’t help but click his tongue. The difficulty of the Path of the Chosen was exceptionally high.

First was the conventional Gu Raising Technique. He needed to defeat at least ten individuals who had obtained the Three Dragon Shadows qualification and stand out among them to officially become a Chosen One. To obtain the Three Dragon Shadows, one must possess a True Radiance Talent, or be an incredibly hardworking individual like him who could earn the Spirit of Sun’s exceptional approval.

He was confident he could achieve this; even if his opponents reached Tier Eight, he was certain he could win once he advanced as well. The problem was, where was he supposed to find so many recognized individuals? They probably only existed in the Abyss Realm. If he actually managed to gather so many people acknowledged by the Three Dragon Shadows, it would be high time for him to make a run for it.

As for the second method, it required possessing a Talent surpassing the Cyan God level to directly become a Chosen One.

“This one is even more ridiculous,” Su Chen marveled inwardly. Cyan God was likely the Talent tier above True Radiance, yet even that level couldn’t grant direct Chosen One status; one had to exceed it.

Between these two methods, one was more insane than the other. They were simply impossible to achieve. Thinking of this, he actually felt much more at ease. Compared to the conventional methods of becoming a Chosen One, his unorthodox approach—despite requiring at least fifty pieces of Faith Star Amber—was relatively simple.

“Wait, no. That’s just a method to register this Holy Profession onto my panel. Whether I can actually become a Chosen One when the time comes is still up in the air. This guy’s spirituality isn’t as idiotic as the Great Venerable Spirituality back then,” Su Chen pondered.

Just then, text surfaced on his panel.

[The Purifier has learned the name of the “Cyan God” and is uncontrollably thrilled. It hopes to obtain the Blood of the Cyan God, or the Blood of the Sun, for research purposes.]

The Purifier was certainly eager. However, Su Chen shook his head secretly. As for the Blood of the Cyan God or the Sun… he shouldn’t even think about it for the time being.

After transmitting the information regarding the Path of the Chosen to him, the Spirit of Sun sniffed around him again, seemingly trying to confirm whether he had been replaced or not. Only then did it gradually fade away.

“This thing is quite cautious…” Seeing the Spirit of Sun leave, Su Chen adjusted his posture and attempted to circulate the Body Refining Meditation Method.

BOOM!

A clap of thunder suddenly exploded within his body. Arcs of lightning crackled like dragons, surging out from him and taking physical form in the surroundings as Thunder Element creatures: thunder lions, thunder snakes, and thunder leopards.

The air around him was torn apart, buzzing violently. His hair stood on end, and his clothes flapped wildly without wind, cracking like beating wings. His chest heaved like a bellows, exhaling a storm of flames that ravaged the area.

In a single breath, the firestorm and the various Thunder Element creatures transformed into an intangible torrent that rolled back into his body, becoming visible blue and crimson veins that flickered brightly beneath his skin.

“This…” Su Chen opened his eyes, a flash of shock crossing them. “I can complete a full circulation in just a single breath.”

This development efficiency even surpassed his peak during Tier Six. After taking up the Shadow Shattering Body, his development efficiency had already been shortened to a 1% increase every ten days or so. Later, after his Permanent Body was strengthened, his development efficiency further improved, taking only seven or eight days to increase by 1%.

But now, he estimated that it would only take about four or five days to push his development progress up by 1%.

“Even though the development progress will slow down slightly after reaching 50%, I still have the Potions obtained from the Sun Trial to assist me. I’ll be able to advance to Tier Eight in about half a year.”

Tier Eight in half a year… Su Chen’s heart gave a fierce thump. “I even have Holy Professions that can stack, which will make it even faster.”

His Adam’s apple bobbed. “Insane. It’s truly insane.” Even he felt intimidated by his own progress. “Under no circumstances can outsiders learn of my body’s current condition.”

With a slight thought, a layer of shadow suddenly surfaced on his skin, gradually covering his entire body and blending seamlessly into it. The vigorous aura radiating from him—the aura of having just completed a transformation, like a newly reborn dragon—gradually vanished.

“By using the Shadow of the Past, I can roughly conceal these changes,” Su Chen muttered to himself. “I doubt anyone would bother forging a Holy Profession specifically meant for probing. Morning Stars shouldn’t be able to discover it; only those old monsters on the outside could…

“I’ve handled almost everything here. It will be several months before the Faith Essence is delivered, so it’s about time I left.”

Before leaving, however, he planned to challenge the Sun Trial a few more times to see if he could obtain a perfect-grade Deceitful God’s Power to use in conjunction with “Crimson Flame.”

“Fire Pillar, Fire Pillar…” He pulled out the Fire-igniting Ash. A virtual screen materialized before his eyes, displaying the internal structure of the Spiritual Tower, seemingly allowing him to select which area he wanted to proceed to.
