Chapter 135: Knights of Ruination
Rachel watched Kaiser closely. She noticed how interested he was in Selene’s new creation and couldn’t help but speak up.
"I can do it too."
Kaiser turned toward her.
"You can make your own undead?"
Rachel’s eyes lit up as she nodded.
"Of course I can. I am also a Greater-Class Undead, you know."
She then continued explaining.
"All Greater-Class Undead can create one type of undead underling. The type depends on their own abilities and bloodline."
Kaiser nodded with interest.
"I see. What kind can you create?"
Rachel smiled proudly.
"Mine are called Knights of Ruination."
Kaiser nodded.
"Knights of Ruination?"
"Yes," Rachel replied. "They are undead knights created through my power. They are much stronger than ordinary undead, and I can create them from suitable corpses."
Kaiser looked at Rachel with renewed interest.
"So you can create your own undead army as well."
Rachel nodded happily.
"That’s right."
Kaiser thought about it for a moment.
’Selene can create Rose Knights, while Rachel can create Knights of Ruination.’
He looked between the two of them.
’Both of them can create powerful undead underlings.’
Kaiser couldn’t help but feel satisfied.
Having powerful Greater-Class Undead under his command was already useful, but their ability to create their own armies made them even more valuable.
He then looked at Rachel.
"Can you create one now?"
Rachel immediately nodded.
"Of course. Just give me a suitable corpse."
Kaiser glanced toward the pile of Frost Troll corpses that his undead had collected.
"Then use one of those."
Rachel smiled and walked toward the corpses.
"Understood, Master."
Kaiser followed her with interest, curious to see what a Knight of Ruination would look like.
Rachel walked toward the pile of Frost Troll corpses.
She stopped beside one of the bodies and raised her hand.
Dark energy slowly spread from her body and covered the corpse.
Unlike Selene’s Blood Rose ability, Rachel’s power did not produce flowers or vines. Instead, the Frost Troll’s corpse was surrounded by a dense white-gold energy.
The corpse slowly began to change.
Its massive body shrank slightly as its flesh was covered by white-gold armor.
Heavy armor formed over its chest, shoulders, arms, and legs. A large helmet covered its head, leaving only two glowing eyes visible through the gaps.
A massive greatsword appeared in its hand.
The armor looked like something worn by a powerful battle knight rather than a normal undead.
White and gold patterns covered the armor, while whitish Ruination Energy constantly moved around its body.
The energy flowed across the armor like mist, occasionally gathering around its greatsword before fading away.
Within a few moments, the Frost Troll had completely transformed.
It was now a massive undead knight standing silently in front of Rachel.
Kaiser looked at it with interest.
"So this is a Knight of Ruination."
Rachel nodded proudly.
"Yes. Unlike Selene’s Rose Knights, mine focus on direct combat."
The Knight of Ruination slowly lowered itself onto one knee.
"Your command, my Lady."
Its deep voice echoed through the snowy area.
Rachel looked at it.
"Rise."
The Knight of Ruination immediately stood.
Its massive body was covered in white-gold armor, and whitish Ruination Energy continued flowing around it.
Kaiser walked closer and used his Cosmic Sense to inspect the undead.
"It has a completely different appearance from Selene’s Rose Knights."
"Of course," Rachel said. "Our powers are different, so the undead we create are different as well."
Kaiser nodded.
Selene’s Rose Knights had a beautiful appearance that reflected her Blood Rose power, while Rachel’s Knights of Ruination looked like heavily armored battle knights.
Kaiser looked at the greatsword in the knight’s hand.
"Can it use Ruination Energy?"
Rachel smiled.
"Yes. That is one of their main abilities."
The Knight of Ruination raised its greatsword.
Whitish Ruination Energy immediately gathered around the blade.
The surrounding snow began to crack as the energy spread through the ground.
Kaiser nodded.
"Not bad."
Rachel looked pleased by his reaction.
"Do you like it?"
"Yes. It looks powerful."
Rachel smiled.
"Then I will create more."
Kaiser glanced at the remaining Frost Troll corpses.
"Go ahead. We have plenty of corpses."
Rachel nodded and immediately began creating more Knights of Ruination.
One Frost Troll corpse after another was surrounded by white-gold energy.
The corpses transformed into heavily armored undead knights, each carrying a large weapon and surrounded by whitish Ruination Energy.
Kaiser watched as his army gained another type of powerful undead underling.
He couldn’t help but think that having Selene and Rachel in his forces was becoming more useful with every rank they gained.
Kaiser then turned toward the Corpse Lord.
The Corpse Lord immediately noticed his gaze and nodded.
"I can do it too, my Lord."
Kaiser raised an eyebrow.
"You can create your own undead as well?"
"Yes, my Lord."
The Corpse Lord floated toward the remaining Frost Troll corpses.
Unlike Selene’s beautiful Rose Knights or Rachel’s heavily armored Knights of Ruination, the Corpse Lord’s method of creating undead was much more gruesome.
Dark energy spread across the corpses.
Several Frost Troll bodies suddenly began moving.
Their arms twisted unnaturally as dark threads appeared between their bodies.
Then the corpses began stitching themselves together.
Bones cracked.
Flesh twisted.
Large pieces of the Frost Troll corpses were pulled toward one another and fused together.
Some of the corpses were connected at the torso, while others had their limbs attached to different parts of the body.
The process looked more like a horrific experiment than the creation of an ordinary undead.
Kaiser watched the entire process with interest.
The Corpse Lord continued combining the corpses until the pieces had formed a single massive creature.
After several moments, the creature finally stood up.
It was a huge and grotesque monster made entirely from Frost Troll corpses.
Its body had several arms, with each limb coming from a different corpse.
Multiple layers of flesh had been stitched together across its torso, while thick scars covered almost every part of its body.
Although all the materials came from the same type of monster, the final result was completely different from an ordinary Frost Troll.
