My Seed Gives Systems In The Apocalypse

Chapter 141: That’s So Cool!

"This is Rosaline. She looks a little different, but she’s my wife and capable of controlling the zombies. So... don’t be alarmed."

The drunken woman visibly sobered a little. The sheer absurdity of the statement seemed to cut through the thick haze of alcohol clouding her mind.

She paused her aggressive stance entirely, her hazy blue eyes widening as the lethal vine spear rapidly unraveled, sinking harmlessly back into her gorgeous, milky-white skin without leaving behind a single scratch.

"What...?" She murmured in disbelief, swaying slightly on her heels as she stared at the demonic beauty standing obediently by Fredrinn’s side.

Fredrinn gave her his trademark easygoing smile, keeping his hands open and relaxed. "You said you drunk a whole bottle of vodka, so why don’t you take a seat and calm down a little? There’s no threat over here."

The woman obviously didn’t believe the words of a complete stranger, especially not one standing in a hallway coated in fresh brain matter and flanked by tame undead.

Still, the alcohol in her system won the internal struggle against her balance.

She stumbled backward a few steps, her low heels clicking clumsily against the tiles, before she plopped down heavily onto the third step of the stairwell, letting out a soft, unladylike burp.

Her slender body shook with a small shudder, and her little sister hurried down the stairs, planting her hands on her hips with a scowl. "Big sis, I told you to stop drinking so much. You’re ruining our reputation..."

"Hush, little child..." The elder sister waved a limp hand carelessly through the air, her voice dripping with lazy disdain. "You’re just a brat, you got no reputation."

The little one’s eyelids twitched with visible irritation, her small fists clenching at the sides of her pink sundress. "I have more respect than you in our household."

Alas, she shouldn’t have said that.

The moment she finished speaking, the elder sister’s hand snapped straight like a blade. With terrifying speed and zero hesitation, she delivered a clean karate chop straight at the little girl’s sunhat-covered head.

Thwack!

"Oww!" The little girl instantly clutched her head, crouching down as fat, comical beads of tears gathered at the corners of her clear, mystical blue eyes. "I will complain to dad that you hit me, whaa!"

"Shoo, do what you want~" The elder sister merely scoffed at the waterworks, not paying the slightest bit of attention to her sister’s theatrical whining.

She casually turned her gaze back to Fredrinn, propping her chin on her palm.

"You... Handsome young man, what is going on over here? How can you control the zombiesss?" The woman slurred heavily, tilting her head as she struggled to keep her eyes locked onto his face.

Her upper body swayed from side to side like a blade of grass in the breeze.

Yet, Fredrinn didn’t lower his guard for a second. He knew that despite being drunk out of her mind, she wasn’t a weakling in the slightest.

She had already demonstrated her speed, her instincts, and the terrifying mana density woven into those botanical constructs.

"I can’t control the zombies," Fredrinn replied smoothly, giving a careless shrug. "It’s the skill of this beauty over here."

He turned slightly and placed a firm hand over Rose’s shoulder, pulling the succubus against his chest in a possessive, casual embrace.

Rose smirked a little at his butter polishing, thoroughly pleased by the open display of affection.

She leaned comfortably into his touch, her heart-shaped pupils glowing faintly with smug satisfaction as she looked down at the drunkard on the stairs.

"Wow!" The elder sister let out a delighted gasp and clapped her hands together excitedly, her slurred tone rising an octave. "That’s so cool!"

Fredrinn chuckled softly at her drunken antics.

Finding her bizarrely cooperative, he decided to play along with her rhythm, asking in a gentle, warm tone, "What about you? I saw the vines on your hands, so can you create spears with your vines? That’s really cool as well!"

"Hehehe, not just that." The woman giggled haughtily, clearly basking in the praise. His impressed reaction stroked her pride perfectly.

Eager to show off, she willed the magic to surface once again. With a soft rustling sound, thick, emerald vines burst forth from her pores, winding securely around her forearm and tightening into a thick, protective bark of earthy brown that perfectly mimicked the sturdy branches of an ancient tree.

Fredrinn watched with genuine interest, but before he could say a word, the display took an even more astonishing turn. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Tiny green buds began to rapidly sprout along the wooden surface. In the blink of an eye, vibrant leaves unfurled, followed immediately by delicate, multi-colored flowers bursting into full bloom across the back of her hand.

The sweet, rich scent of fresh blossoms instantly cut through the rancid stench of the hallway, casting an ethereal, nature-fairy aura around the woman’s milky skin.

Fredrinn was thoroughly pleased by the gentle, natural odour as even though he wasn’t complaining, he hated the stench of this blood and gore.

Even back in Apolasia, he mostly chose nature as his meditational spot, thus he appreciated the woman’s display of her powers.

Alas, her goofy, drunken smirk completely shattered the mystical elegance of the moment.

"I can do it with both hands!" she proclaimed boisterously, grinning ear to ear as she began to raise her left arm to double down on the demonstration.

Before she could summon another branch, her younger sister abruptly stopped sniffling.

The little girl lunged forward with an utterly exasperated expression, grabbing her older sister’s wrist with force and yanking it firmly back down onto her lap.

"Geez, I am more than 15 years younger than you, but how are you still dumber than me?!" The younger sister complained loudly, her voice practically squeaking in frustration.

"Carmen, you want another headchop?" The elder sister narrowed her hazy eyes, glaring down at her younger sibling with zero remorse.

"No! Stop showing your powers to a complete stranger, you big old dummy!" Carmen grumbled back, huffing through her nose as she fought the overwhelming urge to facepalm over the sheer exhausting burden of having to babysit a grown adult.

"Ah..."

A flicker of clarity finally passed through the older sister’s clouded mind.

She blinked at her blossoming fingers, realizing that casually laying out her combat abilities in front of an unknown, armed man and a horned demon wasn’t exactly brilliant tactical behavior.

Still, she had far too much pride—and far too much alcohol in her blood—to cry over spilled milk.

She cleared her throat with a delicate, muffled cough, willing the overgrown flora to recede.

The flowers, leaves, and dense bark seamlessly dissolved, leaving her fair, porcelain skin clean and untouched.

Straightening her posture as best she could on the cold concrete step, she forced a polite, breathtaking smile onto her face.

"Excuse my manners. I am Sophia, while this is my adorable little sister, Carmen."

Carmen gave a sharp harrumph, crossing her small arms over her tummy now that her sister had finally regained a shred of basic dignity.

Turning her azure-tinted gaze back toward Fredrinn and Rose, the little girl gave a stiff, formal nod.

"Carmen."
