Chapter 219: Second winner

"Absolute Shatter."

CRAK!! CRACK!!

Just as she muttered those words, the frozen figures shattered into large chunks of ice.

She still wasn’t strong enough to reduce them into fine particles... yet the display alone was enough to leave everyone in the Colosseum shocked.

For a second, everyone fell silent.

Then loud cheers erupted throughout the audience at Asia’s powerful display. She confirmed that every demonic beast in her lane had been killed.

Although the skills had consumed a considerable amount of her mana, a satisfied smile still appeared on her face.

The girl in the neighboring lane had also witnessed the scene. She was clearly shocked, but the remaining beasts forced her to turn her attention back to the fight.

"She is definitely related to that man," Vaorak said with a smile.

"She isn’t even twenty yet, and look at the mastery of her skill," Lyra added, clearly impressed by Asia’s performance.

Asia did not stop there. Her figure blurred, and within a few seconds she crossed the remaining distance of her lane. Emerging from the end, she saw that none of the twenty platforms had been taken yet.

Without hesitation, she flew upward and claimed the platform marked with the bold number 1.

"Looks like your first candidate took the win, Lady Aurora," Lyra said. She wasn’t particularly disappointed — she had also bet on Asia for second place, even though the girl had claimed first instead.

The audience erupted into cheers and applause as they watched the beautiful blue-haired young woman, still wearing her veil, standing on the first platform.

With this, those who had never heard of Asia would now know her name across the entire human continent. The news would likely spread even further through the guests from other continents.

The remaining contestants heard Slickmouth’s announcement. Those still fighting felt their spirits rise — someone had already claimed a platform. More than forty contestants, however, had already been eliminated.

The girl fighting beside Asia’s lane grew even more aggressive after witnessing the display with her own eyes.

{What will you do now... are you still going to wait for Rieka?} Liya asked.

"Asia already showed her power and broke her limits. Now it’s Rieka’s turn. She must be trying her best. Let’s see if she can do it," Nova replied as he casually chopped another beast apart.

"Fortunately, she received fewer beasts than Asia, and only a few of them are above level 1400."

From a general perspective, it looked as if Nova was giving his all. Those with sharper perception, however, could tell he was handling the beasts with ease.

What they couldn’t understand was why he wasn’t finishing them faster if he was capable of it.

In truth, Nova was only using the strength of a level 1500 King Realm expert. What he was displaying were purely his battle skills. Combined with his young age, it only made his refined power appear even more astonishing.

In Lane 76, Rieka watched as Asia eliminated the demonic beasts with effortless precision. She knew she was still a little behind, but she no longer minded.

Even without relying on her bloodline powers, she was confident in her own skills.

She also remembered her darling’s words — the same advice he had given both her and Asia. Now it was her turn to prove herself and show everyone what she was truly capable of.

She could also see the same girl in the neighboring lane killing beasts at a rapid pace.

Rieka had no intention of giving second place to anyone. She knew her darling was deliberately stalling in his own lane, waiting for both Asia and her to take first and second place.

That was the real reason he still hadn’t finished clearing the demonic beasts in front of him.

She was determined to claim the second platform.

Looking ahead, only five demonic beasts remained — two above level 1400, and three at her own level. She needed to be especially careful with the stronger ones.

Rieka activated Fox Steps and closed the distance toward the high-level beasts in a blur. At the same time, she activated her clone skill. Instantly, twenty clones appeared around her.

Although the clones were not particularly powerful, each still retained ten percent of Rieka’s strength. Seeing so many identical figures suddenly appear, the demonic beasts fell into confusion — exactly what she wanted.

The spectacle immediately drew the attention of the audience and the high-level figures watching from above.

Using the opening she had created, Rieka swiftly finished the lower-level beasts. Her movements were sharp and precise.

While the clones distracted the monsters, the real Rieka pierced their eyes, drawing pained roars. In the next moment, she cleanly severed the heads of the three weaker beasts.

The clones continued attacking the two high-level beasts, injuring them again and again and driving them into a frenzy.

Although Rieka did not possess as many powerful offensive skills as Asia, she still had one technique strong enough to end the fight quickly.

This round was never only about who could kill the beasts. The organizers already knew the powerful contestants would succeed. What truly mattered was speed— who could finish first and claim one of the twenty platforms.

Vaorak and the others leaned forward as they watched Rieka. At the same time, their eyes also tracked the girl in Lane 74, along with Liam and Nova, who were currently showing the strongest performances.

Rieka leapt over the heads of the two remaining beasts. All of her clones charged together and attacked, but one by one they were destroyed. Even so, they managed to leave more wounds on the monsters.

In the next second, Rieka’s eyes turned deep purple.

She activated her illusion skill. Both high-level beasts froze in place, struggling slightly against the effect.

That single moment was all she needed.

She condensed every bit of her mana into her hands. Sharp claws extended from her fingers as the air around them buzzed with power. Using Fox Steps once more, her figure blurred.

"Predator’s Execution."

With dreadfully precise movements, she butchered both of their heads in an instant.

The two beasts collapsed.

Rieka had become the second contestant to completely clear her lane.

The moment Rieka finished the last of the beasts, she did not waste a single second. Her figure blurred as she sprinted straight toward the platforms.

A breath of relief escaped her when she saw that only Asia was standing on the first platform — the second one was still empty.

Without hesitation, she flew up and claimed it. Asia turned toward her with a bright smile.

"Congratulations, Sister Rieka!"

[Rieka Vargirth... from Frostholme, has secured the second platform!]

The audience erupted into loud cheers as they watched the two most beautiful contestants in the tournament standing on the first and second platforms. Many also noticed that the two of them clearly seemed acquainted.

In the VIP section, Jenna shouted in excitement from her seat. Edward smiled as he watched his son’s wives perform so well — now he only wanted to see his son claim a platform as well.

Velena gave a small nod of satisfaction, a faint trace of a smile appearing on her usually expressionless face. Nyxara, on the other hand, was simply waiting to see her husband finally take action.

"Congratulations, Lady Aurora. You have won the bet. You now hold a favor from all of us," Draeven said, still wondering how she had been so certain.

Even though Aurora was famous, she remained extremely mysterious — even within her own continent. She simply turned toward them and nodded calmly in acknowledgment.

Vaorak, however, seemed to be thinking about something else entirely. No one could tell what was on his mind.
