Chapter 1083 - 1086: Is That Childish or Not?

"Are you saying that President Quinn blocked my phone?" Nina King’s face darkened further. It’s not like she’s a man, why block her phone?

She’s not trying to steal his woman!

"Probably."

"Can you show up at the company on time tomorrow? I have something to discuss with you!"

"Sure, sure," Melody Thorne compromised.

Nina King left satisfied, not forgetting to glance at Jared Quinn as she walked away.

Melody Thorne got into the car, sitting in the passenger seat, her long legs crossed and occasionally swinging. She reached out a hand, "Give me the phone!"

Jared Quinn started the car, handed over his phone. Melody Thorne opened it up, intending to block a few of his business partners’ or shareholders’ numbers. But as she looked through, she discovered all the numbers in Jared Quinn’s phone were odd.

His contact list was simple; apart from notes on his family members, there was Mr. Quinn and Mrs. Quinn, then Howard Seymour and Mrs. Sila, and her, with no other notes.

All the calls were from unfamiliar numbers.

Melody Thorne: "...Do you not save other people’s phone numbers?"

"Why should I?" Jared Quinn glanced at her, asking as if it was common sense. Everyone in Ardenia wants to know his phone number; men want to use it to curry favor or do business, and women to seduce him.

As the most noble and powerful man in Ardenia, he indeed doesn’t need to save anyone’s phone numbers!

Melody Thorne: "..."

She was not pleased.

"Why did you block Nina King’s number?"

Because of it, she hadn’t been to the company for many days, thinking the company might be running so smoothly lately that they didn’t need to contact her.

"Honey, I was just afraid you had too much on your plate and would get too tired."

"So you blocked Nina King’s number? Isn’t that childish," Melody Thorne huffed, then set Jared Quinn’s phone to not accept any calls, "As a punishment, you’re not allowed to take calls today either."

Jared Quinn chuckled softly and let her be.

Back at the Quinn home, Mrs. Sila had prepared many gifts.

"Melody, let’s go visit the Thorne family. After all, you grew up there, and now that I’m here, it’s a good chance to visit them."

"Sure, I’ve been wanting to see them too. Haven’t been there for many days, I wonder if that boy Finn Thorne has been managing the Thorne company properly!"

"Let’s go, let’s go, see if these gifts I bought are enough?" Mrs. Sila said as they walked.

"They’re enough, they’re enough."

Jared Quinn helped load the gifts into the car and drove them himself.

On the way, Melody Thorne called home, planning to let Mrs. Quinn know they were coming in advance, but the phone rang for a while with no answer.

After getting out of the car, Melody Thorne and Mrs. Sila walked toward the Thorne home, finding the front door open but no one inside.

"Mom, Mom," Melody Thorne called upstairs several times.

"Dad, I’m back!"

"Mom, Mom!"

Melody Thorne went upstairs and searched the whole floor, but there was no sign of Mrs. Thorne or Levin Thorne.

"Finn Thorne?"

"Melody, could it be that they went out?"

"No, they would have locked the door if they went out, and the Thorne family has servants, where did everyone go?" Melody Thorne headed to the back garden.

"What’s wrong?" Jared Quinn parked the car.

"There’s absolutely no one at my home," Melody Thorne said with some panic, and there was no one in the back garden either.
