Chapter 1090 - 1093: Damaged by a Kick

"Hmm? His bedroom? What do you mean? Are you thinking that the painting might be hidden in Ethan Knight’s bedroom?"

"I don’t know."

Jared Quinn’s paintings are all kept in a rundown old castle, so usually, no one would pay attention. Most people notice only his warehouse, so Ethan Knight wouldn’t put it in the warehouse either.

"Why not find some time to check it out!"

At night, they received notification that Ethan Knight would be returning late. This was a good opportunity!

"What are you two standing around here for? Get out, get out! When Mr. Ethan is not around, tidy up and wait outside!"

After Melody Thorne and Chloe Summers went out, they pretended they forgot to clean a spot inside and went back in.

"You keep watch downstairs, I’ll go up and take a look."

"Be careful, if anyone comes, I’ll cough." Chloe Summers spoke.

"Alright."

On the surveillance screen, every move of the two was clearly seen by Ethan Knight.

Each person invited and kept by Ethan Knight would undergo several rounds of tests.

Cleaning was a test to see if anyone was restless.

"Mr. Ethan, I’ll catch these two immediately!"

"No rush," Ethan Knight raised his hand, staring with interest at a face inside, "Since we’re playing, let’s play a bit longer!"

"Yes!"

When Melody Thorne went up, she didn’t notice the cameras, but the further she went, the more uneasy she felt. When things are too quiet, it usually means bigger things are about to happen!

But she couldn’t care about that now; rescuing the Thorne Family’s parents was the priority!

Entering Ethan Knight’s bedroom, the decor inside was mostly pink, and it looked like a woman’s bedroom.

The walls were adorned with many famous paintings, most of which had high collectible value. From top to bottom, one wall in the bedroom was covered with famous paintings, many of which were unopened.

Melody Thorne walked over, looking from top to bottom, but she couldn’t find the painting she was looking for. She remembered it was very large!

"Cough, cough," two coughs came from downstairs.

Melody Thorne’s heart skipped a beat. She turned off the light inside and immediately hid in the wardrobe. Ethan Knight entered the bedroom, removed his suit, and didn’t bother to turn on the light. The streetlights outside were on, providing enough light, so it wasn’t too dark.

Ethan Knight changed into his pajamas and stood in front of the wardrobe, "Still not coming out? Are you waiting for me to invite you in?"

Melody Thorne narrowed her beautiful eyes; she had been discovered long ago!

"Not coming out? Looks like I need to invite you?" Ethan Knight approached the wardrobe and, holding the door, he opened it!

Melody Thorne kicked out blindly; she didn’t know where she kicked, but she heard Ethan Knight gasp. She shot out of the wardrobe and ran outside!

Ethan Knight’s face was livid; his manhood almost got kicked by her!

In the hall, everyone was gathered. Ethan Knight’s face was terrifyingly murderous, his eyes swept over everyone before resting on Melody Thorne’s face for a second, then moving away.

"Who just entered my bedroom?"

The crowd exchanged glances, "No one."

"No one? I’m giving you one chance to step out, and I might let you go!"

"No one," the crowd continued to shake their heads.

Melody Thorne confirmed there were no cameras in the hall. Ethan Knight wouldn’t be able to find out it was her, so she calmly shook her head; he wouldn’t have been able to clearly see in the bedroom earlier.
