Even with nanny robots at home, she couldn’t possibly leave the cubs behind and run to the front lines again.

The last time she ran out, she hadn’t originally planned to go to the very front. But seeing injured beastmen of the Beastman Army everywhere, the blood had rushed to her head. In a moment of overconfidence, she had recklessly charged forward. At that time, Zhan Heng, Xie Jing, Lorenzo, and Shen Mianzhou were all at home, guarding the rear for her!

Now, the situation was reversed. They were all on the front lines, and she was guarding the rear at home. She couldn’t just rush out recklessly anymore.

To put it bluntly, if something truly went wrong, as long as she was here, she would definitely protect the cubs as they grew up. If they all went to the front lines and something happened, who would take care of the cubs?

Gu Weilan clenched her jaw. Her brows were tightly knit, her mind fraught with worry.

Just then, the visitor registration notification from the academy’s main gate rang.

Gu Weilan frowned and opened the message. A Beastman named Ming You was requesting a visit. She granted him access.

Ming You had long, slightly curly dark blue hair. The strands on both sides of his temples were woven into very fine braids, intertwined with strings of rice pearls. This held his loose hair back, preventing it from blowing wildly in the wind. His facial features were exceptionally striking. It made Gu Weilan wonder if all beastmen of the Sea Clan were naturally this beautiful. He possessed an exquisitely androgynous face, yet his dark blue eyes contained light gray, radiating lines that made his pupils even more mesmerizing.

He gave a slight nod, his expression somewhat solemn.

Gu Weilan pursed her lips, the initial appreciation for his beauty fading from her face. “You are?”

“Hello, I am Ming You of the Sperm Whale Clan, a Sea Clan Beastman matched with you. I traveled here from the Aquarius Star, which took a few days. I apologize for the delay.”

Gu Weilan gave a slight nod and stepped aside, allowing Ming You to come inside before speaking further.

Ming You took a deep breath. After entering, he gave a slight nod to Lorenzo and Lu Xuyin, who was holding the Incubation Pod, as a greeting.

“Female Gu Weilan, I will be heading to the front lines immediately. I came to find you to clearly explain my situation.” A heavy, unresolvable sorrow lingered between Ming You’s brows. “A massive wormhole suddenly appeared among several Resource Stars near the Aquarius Star.

“The Insect Clan has already swarmed toward the Resource Stars in droves. My family has businesses on two of those stars.

“I can’t possibly let my aunt and uncle hold the front line while I do nothing…

“To be honest, I know that forming a bond with you, obtaining mating rights as early as possible, and securing my own offspring before going to the battlefield would be the most beneficial course of action for me.

“However, I feel that doing so would be far too selfish.”

Ming You looked up at Gu Weilan. “Since we don’t have any emotional foundation right now, I wanted to… make things clear to you first.

“If I go to the front lines this time and am fortunate enough to survive, may I return to form a bond with you then?”

Gu Weilan frowned slightly and asked Pomegranate Seed in her mind, “Is he telling the truth? The Insect Clan was defeated on the front lines, so they went and opened several wormholes to invade the beastmen’s planets this way?”

Pomegranate Seed nodded and replied in her mind, “He is telling the truth! Furthermore, his uncle already died while he was on his way here.”

Gu Weilan closed her eyes briefly.

Seeing this, Ming You hurriedly added, “If you disagree, I will request to dissolve the match. I apologize for causing you any trouble…”

Gu Weilan raised her hand. “I can dissolve the match, or I can wait for you to return and give you another chance to apply for a match.” Seeing Ming You frozen on the spot, she couldn’t help but smile at him. “You don’t need to be so nervous.”

Ming You nodded. “Alright. I, Ming You, swear by the Beast God: if I survive but am severely injured or left with lasting side effects, I will definitely not come to bother the Weilan Female. But if I survive and return completely unharmed…

“I will bring all my wealth, entrust it to the female Gu Weilan, and become the Weilan Female’s most loyal Beast Husband!”

Gu Weilan waved her hand dismissively. “Go take care of your business. Remember, stay safe.”

Ming You looked slightly taken aback, but he didn’t waste time with false modesty. He placed his right hand over his heart and bowed to Gu Weilan. “Then… I shall take my leave.”

Gu Weilan frowned and looked at Lorenzo. “Is the Insect Clan using siege-and-ambush tactics? Opening wormholes all over our habitable planets—what exactly are they plotting?”

Lorenzo was somewhat surprised. “Female Master, didn’t you suspect for a moment that… what he said might be a lie?”

Gu Weilan shook her head. “The worry for his family in his eyes couldn’t be faked.”

Lorenzo came to a sudden realization. He activated his Light Brain. After searching through several encrypted channels, his expression turned grim. “With the opening of four wormholes, they show no signs of holding back. It seems they want to expand the battlefield across the entire front.”

Gu Weilan stood up and paced back and forth. She immediately dialed Housekeeper Zhan Ci’s Light Brain communication channel.

Seeing Gu Weilan’s request, Housekeeper Zhan Ci didn’t dare delay and quickly answered, “Hello, Young Lady.”

Gu Weilan stated her purpose directly. “The Insect Clan has opened four wormholes, and I’m worried the Alliance’s vaccines won’t be able to reach that far right now. Wherever the Alliance’s vaccine against the parasitic insect clan can’t reach, our Bloodline Purification Bath Liquid must cover instead!”

Housekeeper Zhan Ci frowned slightly. The Bloodline Purification Bath Liquid was the Shi Family’s business! He was a Beastman of the Zhan Family…

“Two more Starships will be sent as reinforcements to the front line where Beast Husband Zhan Heng is stationed,” Lorenzo reminded Gu Weilan from his seat on the sofa.

Gu Weilan nodded and spoke to Zhan Ci. “As for the wormhole near Zhan Heng, if the higher-ups have been compromised by the parasitic insect clan, every order they issue will simply be sending the Qilin Clan and local beastmen to their deaths.

“Also, the Resource Stars near the Aquarius Star are my property.

“I need you to come back right now. Take my specially formulated liquid and add it to the production line of the Bloodline Purification Bath Liquid for the Aquarius Star.

“While this substance can’t provide Absolute Defense against the parasitic insect clan’s infestation for beastmen, every bit of prevention helps!”

Zhan Ci pursed his lips and nodded. “Understood, I will return immediately!”

Gu Weilan headed straight into the laboratory and entered her spatial dimension. She placed several centuries-old medicinal herbs into the Extraction Instrument to extract their essence. She then stepped out of the dimension and placed more of those centuries-old herbs from her space into the laboratory’s Extraction Instrument to process them as well.

At that moment, she initiated a multi-party call. She connected with Old Mrs. Bai, Vice Admiral Wu, Grandma Shi, Ji Yanqing, and Zhan Heng. The three elders accepted the video request quickly, whereas it took a long time for Ji Yanqing and Zhan Heng to connect.

Gu Weilan got straight to the point. “Greetings to the three elders. I heard some news this morning and had my Beast Husband look into it. I learned that the Insect Clan on the outskirts of the Interstellar Alliance has opened four wormholes and is running rampant.

“Well… to make a long story short, here is what I’m thinking. I’ve estimated that the vaccine against the parasitic insect clan is only sufficient to supply the primary front line.

“Even if we expand production capacity now, it will take time. It will take about a month to fully supply the secondary front lines at the four wormholes.”

Vice Admiral Wu gave a slight nod. “Correct.”

The furrow in Old Mrs. Bai’s brow relaxed slightly. “Have you thought of an alternative countermeasure?”
