My Taboo Harem!

Chapter 1328: Blood Fiend: Ultimate Phei!

Phei reacted the instant the two World Transcendents began drawing upon the terrifying reserves they had kept buried throughout the previous hour.

The pressure flooding the abyss had already become unbearable, yet what descended now belonged to an entirely different scale. Every surviving crystal formation groaned beneath it, enormous frozen ridges bending until fractures raced through them in branching white scars, while rivers of Primordial Blood lifted from the shattered floor without Phei calling them, trembling in midair beneath the sheer weight pressing down from above.

The two monsters had withdrawn only several steps, but the distance around them warped so violently that their bodies appeared to stretch and contract whenever the surrounding space folded beneath the power gathering inside them.

Their barriers swelled with every breath, fed by the same vast reserves now being dragged inward for whatever final attack they intended to unleash, and even before that, the backlash alone was enough to hammer Phei and the Dragon Lady through the battlefield.

The Dragon Lady’s immense claws drove deeper into the frozen ground as another wave struck her. Cracks exploded beneath her feet and raced for kilometers through the ruined abyss, while her damaged wing was forced lower beneath the pressure until its outer edge scraped through broken crystal. Blood squeezed from wounds that had only just begun closing. Several white scales split along her shoulder, and the Dragon Lady lowered her enormous head as the World Transcendent pressure bore down harder, every breath leaving her nostrils in dense clouds of frost that were immediately crushed flat against the ground.

Phei did not fare much better.

He immediately assumed the Blood Fiend form; it tightened around him instinctively, its dark-red surface flexing across his body as if the living armor itself understood that whatever came next was going to hurt.

The first true surge of pressure drove Phei ankle-deep into the ice.

The second forced him to one knee for half a heartbeat before he shoved himself upright again, blood already leaking from the corner of his mouth where the weight had compressed his chest hard enough to reopen wounds beneath the armor.

His bones groaned, the newly tempered structure resisting what should have pulverized him, yet resisting did not mean enjoying the experience.

Phei looked at the two World Transcendents gathering more power and understood immediately that waiting for them to finish would be the stupidest thing he had done all year, which was honestly impressive considering the competition.

His eyes sharpened.

Void answered first.

Phei ripped open everything he could reach.

The darkness sleeping inside the countless hollows scattered throughout the devastated abyss stirred as though something primordial had called their names.

Black-white fissures split across ruined walls, between suspended fragments of ice and throughout the crimson mist hanging over the battlefield, widening with a wet, almost living shudder while the Void inside them seemed to inhale.

Some remained thin as sword wounds.

Others tore open for hundreds of meters, swallowing reflected light and leaving behind wounds in space that looked deeper than the abyss itself.

The darkness came toward him.

It flooded around Phei from every direction until his white hair disappeared beneath streaming blackness and the surrounding light bent wherever his body stood. The pressure from the World Transcendents struck again during the convergence, and the impact nearly tore the forming Void away from him. Phei’s shoulders jerked backward, a fresh fracture opening beneath one foot as he was driven several meters across the ground, but his hands remained open and the fissures continued pouring their darkness toward him.

Primordial Blood rose with it.

The entire cavern had been soaked in that blood during the previous hour. Rivers of it crawled through trenches carved into the ice. Countless droplets floated between shattered crystal formations.

Great crimson stains clung to frozen cliffs where Phei had been smashed through them or where his weapons had exploded against the World Transcendent barriers.

Now every drop rose all at once.

The first pulse rolled through the abyss like a distant heartbeat.

The second came heavier, shaking blood loose from the walls.

By the third, every scattered crimson trace began creeping back toward Phei.

Streams slithered over the ice like living veins torn from some colossal body, gathering speed until they became dark-red torrents racing through ruined trenches.

Clouds of blood contracted overhead and descended around him in spirals, while droplets suspended inside the crushing World Transcendent pressure shivered violently before forcing themselves free and flying toward their master.

The Blood Fiend answered within that returning tide.

It crawled over Phei’s skin in thick dark-red layers, consuming the blood pouring across him and swelling until his body became encased beneath the dreadful form. Its surface breathed faintly with every movement, veins bulging beneath the flesh-like armor while the thing tightened around broken ribs and damaged muscle, almost as if it intended to hold Phei together whether his body agreed or not.

Void-Ice moved and Infinity Control opened completely.

Every shard of white ice filling the abyss trembled.

Every blood-soaked fragment.

Every crystalline spear hanging from the ceiling, every broken glacier scattered across the floor, every snow-white splinter suspended helplessly inside the World Transcendents’ pressure suddenly belonged to Phei.

The effort hit him immediately.

Infinity Control seized too much at once crashing against the tides and pure pressure and rising power of the two World Transcendents, and the backlash rammed through his skull hard enough to blur one side of his vision. Blood ran from his nose. The veins along his neck darkened beneath the Blood Fiend while countless tons of ancient ice fought against the World Transcendent pressure trying to swallow him whole!

Phei forced them upward anyway.

He stared across the abyss at the two beasts disappearing beneath their swelling power, then lifted one foot with the solemn dignity of a man about to make an extremely important contribution to martial history.

"If they get to stomp..." His Blood Fiend-covered heel came down against the ice. "...so do I."

The stomp itself carried little of the raw brutality that had hurled Phei and the Dragon Lady through kilometers of ancient ice earlier.

Infinity Control made raw strength irrelevant.

The entire ice abyss answered his foot.

Millions upon millions of frozen fragments erupted from every direction at once. White ice rose from the ground in continent-like tides, enormous sections breaking apart midair and becoming storms of blades. Blood-stained shards tore themselves from ruined walls. Crystal spears ripped free from the ceiling and descended while rivers of Primordial Blood coiled around them, staining their edges dark crimson. Frozen debris that had been floating uselessly inside the World Transcendents’ pressure suddenly reversed direction and screamed back toward its owners.

The motion alone tore the battlefield apart.

Great cliffs collapsed as too much ice was ripped from beneath them. The ceiling thundered. Entire frozen ridges sheared away and crashed downward before Phei caught the debris halfway and hurled it forward as part of the assault.

The World Transcendent pressure smashed into the advancing storm and the collision produced shockwaves that ripped trenches through the floor between them.

One of those shockwaves hit Phei directly.

The Blood Fiend cracked across his chest.

He was hurled backward, smashed through a pillar thick enough to dwarf a building and came out the other side bleeding, yet Infinity Control never released its grip.

Void opened among it all.

Phei did not treat the three powers like separate weapons.

He folded them together.

Void-Ice seized the battlefield and arrested everything within its reach, the surrounding frost tightening around the two World Transcendents while the very air crystallized beneath Infinity Control. Primordial Blood invaded that frozen prison simultaneously, spreading through cracks, crawling across the barriers and pulsing against them with the stubborn hunger of something that wanted inside.

Beneath both moved the Void.

It touched every place where the two monsters were calling their cultivation outward.

Three powers became one terrible assault.

The abyss drowned beneath black-white, crimson and black.

The World Transcendents’ eyes widened.
