Without giving it much thought, Zhuge Qingfeng followed, his figure blurring as he entered the Crane Ridge Abyss.

The few students from the Capital City followed, filing into the Crane Ridge Abyss one after another.

...

"Senior, didn’t the mission file say this Abyssal Realm is teeming with exotic beasts?"

"How have we been in here for an hour without spotting a single one?"

As Zhuge Qingfeng and his group traveled through the dense jungle of the Abyss World, one of them couldn’t help but complain.

"The exotic beasts don’t just stand around waiting for us. They’re probably deeper in. Stay sharp and don’t get careless," Zhuge Qingfeng said calmly.

"Yeah, that makes sense."

The students from the Capital City nodded.

...

"Senior, it’s been half a day! We’ve only seen a single Level 2 Wilderness Wolf. This intel is complete bullshit!"

"...Keep moving deeper," Zhuge Qingfeng said, his expression dark.

Resigned, the students from the Capital City fell back in step and continued onward, deeper into the Abyss.

Watching their retreating backs, a thought flashed through Zhuge Qingfeng’s mind. ’This couldn’t be because of Chen Yu, could it?’

’Nah, probably not. How many exotic beasts could one person possibly take out? It’s probably just our bad luck.’ With that thought, Zhuge Qingfeng rallied his spirits and pushed onward.

"ACHOO~"

Chen Yu had just reached the door of the Dean’s office at Jingzhou Superpower Academy when he suddenly sneezed.

’Hm? Is someone thinking about me?’

Chen Yu rubbed his nose as the thought crossed his mind.

"Since you’re here, come in. What are you doing standing around outside?" Just then, the Dean’s voice reached his ears.

Without another thought, Chen Yu pushed the door open and walked into the office.

"Dean, I’ve completed the assessment. Here’s the video footage."

Chen Yu walked into the Dean’s office, taking out a small, needle-like black device and handing it to the Dean.

Taking the black device, the Dean looked at Chen Yu.

"Ah, so the prodigies are returning. I take it your performance was rather outstanding this time?"

Chen Yu sat on the sofa, his expression calm. "It was okay. I don’t think I disappointed your expectations, Dean."

Hearing this, the Dean chuckled. "You rascal. Sounds like you’re pretty sure of yourself."

"The result is always the same, isn’t it? Makes no difference," Chen Yu said nonchalantly.

The Dean: "..."

"Now that the assessment is done, you can take a break. What are your plans?"

The Dean looked at Chen Yu and asked.

Chen Yu replied, "I’m planning to go check out the South Sea."

"The South Sea..."

The Dean frowned. "You should be aware of the situation there. Going to the South Sea could be dangerous."

With a nonchalant expression, Chen Yu said, "Dean, the Stellar Battlefield will be far more dangerous. What’s the big deal about the South Sea? It’s just a place that’s a little ’exciting.’"

The Dean: "..."

The Dean looked at Chen Yu, utterly speechless.

’Then again, he has a point.’

After all, compared to the Stellar Battlefield, the South Sea really was just a place that was "a little exciting."

In the Stellar Battlefield, even True Gods could fall.

"Fine. If you want to go, then go. But be careful. Don’t get into any trouble. You absolutely cannot miss the alliance conference six months from now."

The Dean said, looking at Chen Yu with a serious expression.

Chen Yu nodded, looking relaxed. "Don’t worry, Dean. I’m not that easy to kill."

’This little show-off...’

The Dean’s eye twitched as he looked at Chen Yu’s relaxed expression.

"Stay safe. If anything happens, contact me directly," the Dean added, not pressing the issue further.

"No problem."

"Go on and get some rest. Your time is your own now." The Dean stood up.

Chen Yu nodded and left the Dean’s office.

’The South Sea...’

Watching Chen Yu’s departing figure, the Dean’s gaze shifted to the window.

’Oh, well. The kid’s plenty strong already. Let him go to the South Sea. It’ll be a trial for him. With more experience, maybe he’ll be able to accomplish even more on the Stellar Battlefield...’

Muttering to himself, the Dean picked up the black device. He sat down at his desk, inserted it into a port on a screen, and a video immediately projected before his eyes.

After leaving the Dean’s office, Chen Yu contacted Ma Xiang.

He waited in the academy park, and before long, Ma Xiang’s figure appeared in the distance.

"Brother Yu, what’s up? You needed me for something?" Ma Xiang came over, sat down, and fixed his eyes on Chen Yu.

"Here, take this." Chen Yu took out a small pouch and handed it to him.

Ma Xiang: "?"

He looked at the small pouch, opened it with a puzzled expression, and his eyes instantly bulged.

"Spirit Pearls!"

Ma Xiang cried out in astonishment.

The pouch was filled with Spirit Pearls—and they were all Level 3 and Level 4.

There were dozens of them.

The Spirit Pearls in this pouch alone had to be worth over ten million.

"Brother Yu, are... are you entrusting me with your last wishes? Do you have some kind of terminal illness? WAAAAH! Don’t go, Brother Yu! I can’t lose you!"

Ma Xiang clutched the pouch, his whole body trembling as tears streamed down his face on command.

Chen Yu: "...?"

’Last wishes?’

’Terminal illness?’

’My ass!’

"SLAP!"

Chen Yu shot out a backhand and slapped him, sending Ma Xiang sprawling onto his butt on the ground.

"Brother Yu, are you crazy?!" Ma Xiang’s eyes went wide as he stared up at him with a look of pure grievance.

"Who the hell told you to spout such nonsense? You don’t want these Spirit Pearls, is that it? Fine, give them back! I’m not giving them to you anymore!" Chen Yu snapped, holding out his hand.

Ma Xiang immediately clutched the pouch to his chest and chuckled sheepishly. "Brother Yu, what are you talking about? Of course I want them. Why wouldn’t I want them?"

Chen Yu rolled his eyes and pulled back his hand.

"Brother Yu," Ma Xiang said, getting to his feet with a solemn expression, "if my lord does not forsake me, I am willing to recognize you as my adoptive father. Otherwise, I cannot accept this with a clear conscience."
