Chapter 206 - 100: Flame Demon Spirit, Members Gather

Near the target island, the air seemed to grow scorching hot.

During the winter, the South Sea Region was typically cold even during the day. But this area was different from the rest; not only was it not cold, it was filled with a sweltering heat.

Every breath felt searing.

Chen Yu’s gaze fell upon the small island less than three miles wide.

Judging by the change in the marine environment, this was most likely due to the Flame Demon Spirit.

It hadn’t even appeared, yet it could already alter the local climate.

Chen Yu also grew more alert.

WHOOSH—!

They sliced through the air, and in the blink of an eye, Chen Yu and An Ran arrived on the island situated above the undersea volcano.

The scorching aura was even more intense, making it feel as if they had stepped into Flame Mountain.

On the island’s beach, a group of figures was gathered.

There were at least twenty or thirty people.

Every single one of them had an incredibly powerful aura.

Not one was below the rank of an Eighth-level Martial Artist, and there were even seven or eight at the peak of the eighth level.

It was an incredibly formidable lineup!

However, no Ninth-level Martial Artists had appeared yet.

As Sixth-level Martial Artists, Chen Yu and An Ran stood out.

Their arrival drew the gazes of the dozens of people present.

’The Alliance’s resources are truly unimaginable!’

Chen Yu mused to himself as he watched the group of people not far away.

But it was only natural for the Superpower Alliance, as a top-tier power in the nine human realms, to possess such a strong foundation.

What he was seeing now was merely the tip of the iceberg.

"Oh, look, a couple of young ones have arrived."

A beautiful woman spoke, smiling as she looked at Chen Yu and An Ran.

"You two little kids have some nerve!" a bearded man stepped forward and said in a booming voice.

"This isn’t a place for you kids. You should leave now."

another old man in a Tang suit added.

"We’re just here to watch the show," Chen Yu said coolly, neither humble nor arrogant.

"Watch the show? Heh. Young man, the ’show’ here can get you killed," another burly man sneered.

"It’s only a good show if it’s deadly. If there’s no danger, what’s the point?" Chen Yu replied, his expression calm.

"Youngsters these days have no sense of proportion. A Sixth-level Martial Artist, coming here to join the commotion? Are you looking to die?" yet another burly man said in a low voice.

"Can’t a Level 6 come here? The Alliance has no such rule," Chen Yu said, looking at the burly man.

"Sharp-tongued brat. You have no respect for your betters. If you want to die so badly, then stay," the burly man’s face darkened, a cold glint in his eyes.

"Uncle, you don’t like to brush your teeth?"

Hm?

"Your mouth stinks. What I’m doing here is none of your damn business!" Chen Yu retorted, looking right at the burly man.

Hearing this, a murderous glint flashed in the burly man’s eyes. A terrifying aura erupted from him as he took a single stride, appearing right in front of Chen Yu.

"I’ll teach you a lesson on behalf of your parents, you arrogant little shit!"

As soon as the cold words left his mouth, the burly man threw a punch straight at Chen Yu’s face.

The wind howled as the air cracked from the force.

The others all watched with smiles on their faces. Not one of them moved to intervene.

BANG!

Just in the nick of time, Chen Yu moved.

The burly man’s fist was enveloped by a fair, clean hand. Chen Yu stood his ground, perfectly still, as a powerful shockwave rippled outward.

"Hm?"

"Huh!"

"Ah..."

A series of surprised gasps came from the crowd. The others stared at the scene, their eyes filled with disbelief.

The punch of an Eighth-level Martial Artist was caught so easily by a Sixth-level one?

This had to be an illusion, right?

There was no fluctuation of abilities, no ripple of Qi—just a pure collision of strength. And he caught it so effortlessly?

"What!"

The burly man’s expression changed, and his pupils contracted sharply.

His fist felt as if it were being crushed by an invisible mountain, unable to move an inch.

"You son of a bitch, let go!" the burly man roared.

SLAP—!

The word was barely out of his mouth when the crisp sound of a slap echoed, and the man’s body was sent flying like a rubber ball.

BOOM!!!

His body smashed into a large boulder, which instantly shattered into pieces, sending dust flying everywhere.

"This..."

"Holy cow!"

"That young man is incredible!"

"That little bro is really something else!"

A wave of astonished cries went through the crowd.

An Eighth-level Martial Artist was sent flying by a single slap.

And by a Sixth-level Martial Artist, no less.

The man staggered up from the pile of rubble, one side of his face swollen up like a pig’s head.

The bright red palm print was incredibly distinct.

He stared at Chen Yu, his eyes burning with rage.

"You dog-like creature, don’t test my patience. Otherwise, you’ll be lying here for good today," Chen Yu said, his voice level but his expression full of contempt.

But his words revealed an immense arrogance.

"You..."

"Want to find out how sharp my hand is?" Chen Yu asked, his gaze turning icy as he looked at the burly man.

The man clenched his fists, but he quickly calmed himself down.

That one slap had woken him up.

’Anyone who can send me flying that easily is definitely stronger than me!’

He was furious, but he could only endure it!

"Little bro, what should I call you?" At that moment, a gentle voice spoke up. The beautiful woman from before stepped forward, a smile on her face.

"Why are you asking so many questions?" Dongfang Yao took a step forward, her expression unfriendly.

The beautiful woman chuckled. "What’s wrong, little sister? Afraid I’m going to steal your man?"

Hearing this, Dongfang Yao’s face instantly turned bright red.

"There’s no harm in getting acquainted, is there, little bro?" the beautiful woman said, looking at Chen Yu with a smile.

Chen Yu looked at the woman before him. She had a voluptuous figure, and while her features weren’t devastatingly beautiful, they were certainly top-class.

However, he was more concerned with her strength. Her aura was powerful—peak Eighth-level.

"My name is Liu Mei. I’m a fifth-rank member," the beautiful woman said.

"Chen Yu. Third-rank member," Chen Yu replied.
