Chapter 479: Desolate Nine Space-Time

  • Next Chapter

Azure Firmament Realm.

Deep within a great mountain, space tore apart, and a tall figure stepped out into the mountains.

Chen Yu glanced around, his gaze falling upon a Space-Time Gate not far away.

Desolate Nine Space-Time Anomaly.

This was his first target, and a relatively powerful Space-Time Anomaly at that.

The Spiritual Qi was abundant, but it was also incredibly dangerous.

There were quite a few Level 9 Mutant Beasts.

However, this level of danger was hardly a threat to Chen Yu.

With a single step, he arrived before the Space-Time Gate.

Without a hint of hesitation, Chen Yu entered the Desolate Nine Space-Time Anomaly.

After a brief moment of darkness, Chen Yu arrived inside this Space-Time Anomaly.

A blood-red sky stretched above, a crimson moon hanging high!

This was a polluted Space-Time Anomaly.

Although the Spiritual Qi was abundant, the air was filled with numerous toxic substances.

However, these toxic substances posed no problem for his physical body.

A True God Body, impervious to all harm!

“The environment here… is somewhat twisted,” Chen Yu sighed, looking at the sky and the land.

RUMBLE!!!

Just as he was preparing to sense for the World Tree, the sound of the world shaking came from the distance.

The ground trembled as if a massive earthquake had struck.

Chen Yu’s gaze shifted. In the depths of the distant wasteland, a massive beast horde had appeared.

Mutant beasts stampeded wildly.

And ahead of the horde, several figures were fleeing frantically.

‘Three Seventh Grade, one Eighth Grade. Their strength isn’t bad, but against a beast horde of over a million, they’re hopelessly outmatched. These four must be students from the Superpower Academy of the Azure Sky World. Hmm, since I’ve run into them, I might as well lend a hand.’

The thought flashed through his mind, and in the next instant, Chen Yu’s figure vanished.

…

In the wasteland, the earth quaked.

A massive, dark beast horde threatened to devour everything. Ahead of it, four figures fled with all their might.

Three men and one woman!

Their clothes were tattered and stained with blood; they looked utterly wretched!

“Senior Sister Bai, you go on ahead! We’ll hold back this beast horde,” one of the young men shouted as they fled.

“Bullshit! If we’re going, we go together!” the leader, Senior Sister Bai, snapped. A ripple of power emanated from her, enveloping the others and increasing their speed once again.

“Senior Sister Bai, we’re the ones who attracted this beast horde. We can’t drag you down with us.”

“Your ability can’t carry all of us to safety. It would be easier for you to escape alone,” another young man said.

“Say one more word of that nonsense and I’ll tear your mouths apart,” Senior Sister Bai glared, unleashing her power again to create more distance.

“It’s no use, Senior Sister Bai! The exit is too far! If we keep this up, we’ll run out of Qi. We might as well make a desperate last stand,” the third young man said.

“Cut the crap! Staying behind means certain death. Don’t worry, we’ll definitely make it out of here alive.”

After saying this, Senior Sister Bai unleashed a powerful surge of Qi that enveloped them all.

“Senior Sister Bai, are you crazy?! You’ll die if you exhaust your Qi!” The three men paled in horror at the sight.

“I’m not going to die!” A tragically beautiful smile appeared on Senior Sister Bai’s face.

A blood-red glow rose from her body.

“Blood Qi Combustion!”

“Senior Sister Bai, don’t!”

The three men were terrified, but it was already too late to stop her.

“Little girl, are you in such a hurry to die? Do you really think burning your blood and qi will be enough to stop them?”

Just then, a voice suddenly rang out, and space and time came to a complete standstill.

A young man in black stepped out of thin air.

With a light flick of his finger, in the next instant, the beast horde of over a million strong exploded violently. A thick stench of blood filled the air as the entire horde was obliterated, leaving not even a trace behind!

Then, the young man in black gestured with his hand, and the frozen space-time was released, returning to normal.

The burning blood and qi on Senior Sister Bai dissipated. The four of them stared at the young man in black before them, their pupils constricting in shock.

He had frozen time, annihilated a beast horde of over a million with a wave of his hand, and even instantly killed the Level 9 Beast Kings among them.

‘What kind of power is this?!’

‘Could he be a True God?!’

Four pairs of eyes stared at the young man in black. He was standing right there, yet it felt as if he existed in a different space-time altogether.

“You little ones should be more careful next time. Don’t get into such a mess again. You might not be so lucky.”

His calm voice drifted into their ears. By the time they snapped back to their senses, the young man in black had already vanished.

The scene before them felt like a dream, but the overwhelming stench of blood proved that what had just happened was no illusion—it was real.

“That… He must be a True God Venerable!” one of them couldn’t help but exclaim, his heart pounding with excitement.

A True God Venerable!

Such beings were as elusive as mythical dragons. Apart from glimpsing them at the last God Conferral Assembly, this was the first time they had ever been so close to a True God.

And he had even saved them from the beast horde!

If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, they would have thought they were dreaming!

“That senior… he looks so familiar,” Senior Sister Bai murmured, deep in thought.

Hearing this, the others turned their gazes to Senior Sister Bai.

“Senior Sister Bai, you know that Venerable?”

The three of them stared intently at her.

Senior Sister Bai thought hard. Suddenly, a face appeared in her mind, and a name surfaced.

“It’s that Senior Venerable!”

Senior Sister Bai looked up at the sky, her face filled with excitement.

Hearing this, the three men were utterly confused.

Senior Sister Bai lowered her gaze and looked at the three bewildered men. “You three, have you not been paying attention at all? That senior is the most brilliant Venerable of our Human Race, one with the potential to become a Great Emperor.”

The three men froze, but her words seemed to jog their memories.

“Senior… Senior Sister Bai, you don’t mean… that Senior was… Senior Chen Yu?” one of them stammered, looking at her for confirmation.

Senior Sister Bai nodded. “Yes, I’m sure of it. That Senior was Senior Chen Yu.”

At these words, the three men’s minds were blown.

Chen Yu!

That name was etched deep into their memories!

He had ascended to godhood in just a few years and became a Venerable!

And not long ago, he had defeated the Taixu Divine Child of the Celestial Race, single-handedly raising the status of the entire Human Race in the Celestial River Star System and securing vast resources for them.

“Damn it, what did I just miss out on!”

“If I could have gotten just one piece of advice from him, I might have had a chance to become a god in the future!”

“Heavens above!”

“Bring on another beast horde! Let the Senior come back one more time!”

“???”

“Screw you! You think a Senior like him has nothing better to do than to come save your sorry ass?”

“I just want to see him again.”

“…”

—

‘There really is a World Tree. Looks like this first stop yielded a great harvest!’

In a region of Chaos within the Desolate Nine Space-Time Anomaly, Chen Yu gazed at the World Tree in the distance.

A towering World Tree, fifty thousand zhang high!

It shone with brilliant essence, suffused with boundless, potent World Power.

Taking a step forward, he arrived before the World Tree. Chen Yu immediately reached out, and his own World Power erupted. The entire World Tree trembled, but before his power, it was completely unable to resist.

After erasing the world’s will, in less than two hours, Chen Yu had collected the World Tree into his Divine Domain.

‘A pity that fellow Ling is still asleep. Otherwise, it could have been upgraded again.’

With a sigh, Chen Yu left the Chaotic Void.

Then, with a single thought, he vanished from beneath the blood-red sky.
