Chapter 501 News and Enhancement

The dark energy in the canyon was swept away, and the Hell Altar was completely shattered.

All traces of Hell’s aura vanished.

"This staff has some impressive purification abilities."

Chen Yu looked toward the Angel’s Staff in the Empress’s hand.

The light that had just erupted wasn’t a simple annihilation, but a form of purification.

The aura of Hell was completely purified.

Seeing the Hell Altar disappear, the Empress put away the staff.

"Empress, are we heading directly to the second Hell Space-Time node now?"

Chen Yu asked, looking at the Empress.

The Empress nodded. "Yes. Once the last two space-time nodes are eliminated, the hidden threat will be completely eradicated."

Chen Yu nodded. A moment later, he and the Empress flickered out of sight, disappearing from the canyon.

...

With the Angel’s Staff, an Emperor’s Weapon, the cleanup operation went very smoothly.

The last two Hell Space-Time nodes were also completely wiped out.

With everything resolved, Chen Yu and the Empress returned to Angel City.

「Angel City.」

In front of a magnificent palace in the core district.

Following the Empress, Chen Yu stepped into the palace.

Upon reaching the deepest part of the palace, the Empress gently raised her hand. The Angel’s Staff flew out from within her and settled securely into a recess above them.

The Angel’s Staff fit perfectly, as if it were made for the spot.

The moment it clicked into place, the entire palace trembled.

The Angel’s Staff seemed to merge with the palace, which began to emanate an aura similar to the staff’s.

"Fellow Daoist Chen, what are your plans now?" the Empress asked, looking at Chen Yu after securing the Angel’s Staff.

"I plan to visit the battlefields of the Outer Domain. Perhaps I’ll find my next opportunity there."

Chen Yu replied.

"The Outer Domain battlefields..."

The Empress fell into thought for a moment before looking at Chen Yu. "In that case, Fellow Daoist Chen, you must be careful. Many Hell Demon Gods have appeared in the Outer Domain. I’ve heard they specifically target those at the True God Level to steal their Divine Origins. It seems they’re plotting something big."

"Is that right?" Chen Yu was startled by her words.

He hadn’t heard this news before.

This was the first he was hearing of it.

’Hunting True Gods to steal their Divine Origins.’

’It seems the plans of these Hell Demon Gods are no small matter.’

"The information is almost certainly true. These Hell Demon Gods seem to have special methods of concealment, making it impossible to track them through divination. They appear in groups to besiege and kill the True Gods of the Mortal World."

"I personally know of several True Gods who have already died at their hands," the Empress said slowly.

Hearing this, Chen Yu felt a chill.

’Damn, they’re making some big moves!’

"What level of power do these Hell Demon Gods have, roughly?" Chen Yu asked.

The Empress shook her head. "It’s not clear at the moment, but they must be formidable. They likely have the strength of a Tier Five or Tier Six True God, perhaps even stronger."

"I see..." Chen Yu nodded, taking the Empress’s warning to heart.

He wasn’t too afraid, though.

’Even if I run into them, it’s not yet certain who would be the one to die.’

’With my current power, only a Tier Seven True God or higher could pose a real threat to me.’

’Wielding the Celestial Demon Blade, I’d have the power to fight back even against a Tier Seven or Tier Eight True God.’

’Even if I can’t unleash its full power, just a fraction of it would be formidable enough.’

"Thank you for the warning, Empress. I’ll keep it in mind," Chen Yu said, snapping back to the present and cupping his hands in respect.

The Empress smiled faintly. "There’s no need to be so formal. The Hell Demon Gods are dangerous, but I believe someone of your strength can ensure their own safety."

Chen Yu smiled. "Empress, since our business here is done, I will take my leave."

"Very well. I wish you a safe journey, Fellow Daoist," the Empress said with a nod.

Chen Yu casually tore open space-time. With a flash of light, he vanished from before the Empress.

As Chen Yu disappeared, the Empress’s gaze shifted to the Angel’s Staff.

"My husband, I hope you can awaken soon... Otherwise, the Angel Race will be in a terrible predicament."

The Empress murmured to herself. As if in response, the Angel’s Staff let out a low hum, and a phantom figure materialized from it.

"The time has not yet come. Something is still missing."

After uttering those few words, the phantom instantly dissipated.

But upon hearing these words, a smile bloomed on the Empress’s face.

With a flicker, her figure vanished from the palace.

...

「The Starry Cosmos.」

Across the boundless river of stars, an imperceptible stream of light surged forth, landing on a lone star in the vast expanse.

The stream of light faded, revealing a figure within.

It was Chen Yu. He observed the star, sweeping it with his Divine Thought. After confirming there were no issues, he scanned the countless other stars in the vicinity.

’Hmm, this place will do. First, I’ll absorb the Heavenly Dragon Fruits. Then, I’ll head to the Outer Domain and begin my real plan.’

The thought flashed through Chen Yu’s mind, and his figure vanished. A second later, he reappeared deep within the star’s core.

Here, scorching magma filled the space, which was distorted by the heat.

Standing on the magma, Chen Yu glanced around before retreating into his Divine Kingdom.

He set up a Time Barrier, then took out two Heavenly Dragon Fruits.

Swallowing them in one go, Chen Yu immediately began circulating his Celestial Destiny Skill to absorb the fruits’ power.

The Heavenly Dragon Fruit provided an immense boost to one’s physical body.

After consuming the first one, his physical body had improved significantly.

While the effect of these next two might not be as dramatic as the first, the improvement would still be substantial.

After all, it was one of the universe’s top-tier Divine Medicines. Even for his already powerful body, the transformative effects were still immense.

Golden light flowed around him as his flesh and blood were continuously torn apart and re-formed.

The power of his physical body climbed, bit by bit.

...

In the vast, starry cosmos, several days passed in a flash.

In the river of stars, the silent star suddenly exploded. A tall figure stepped out from its shattered remains.

It was Chen Yu.

While several days had passed in the outside world, two months had gone by within the barrier in his Divine Kingdom.

In those two months, he had completely absorbed the two Heavenly Dragon Fruits.

His physical body had once again broken through its limits.

’I wonder how my current physical body compares to that of a Tier Six True God.’

Chen Yu gazed out at the starry sky.

His physical body had already been comparable to a Tier Five True God’s, and now it had reached a whole new level.

He felt it was in no way inferior, even when compared to the physical body of a Tier Six True God.

The transformation from the Heavenly Dragon Fruits was no exaggeration.

Three Heavenly Dragon Fruits had boosted his power immensely.

While not an earth-shattering transformation, the improvement was still very clear.

With his physical strength alone, he could easily crush Tier Four or Five True Gods.

’With my current physical body combined with my Divine Power... I won’t even have to worry much about a Tier Seven True God.’

Feeling the changes and improvements to his physical body, Chen Yu was now filled with confidence.

Standing amidst the stars, his gaze turned toward the deepest reaches of the cosmos.

Now, he could proceed with the next step of his plan: the battlefields of the Outer Domain!

’As long as I can kill a single Tier One True God, I’ll be able to upgrade my physical talent again.’

’That leap would result in explosive growth.’

’After that, breaking through to become a Tier Three True God will be a piece of cake.’

HUMMM—!

His Divine Power surged, and the Power of Space-Time swirled around him, forming a Space-Time Array. He stepped into the array and quickly vanished from the vast river of stars.
