My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 50: Do you think your parents will gladly accept Hana ?
"Check the hospitals around that area. Don’t let even a single fly escape your surveillance," Brandon said in a low voice.
"Yes, Sir."
"One more thing," Brandon added. "Check all flights heading to Karua City today."
"Sir, are you thinking—"
"Hana only appeared in Karua City five years ago. That means two years after I separated from her, she should still have been in Melvin City."
A cold smile appeared on Brandon’s lips as he continued, "And that means... someone must have hidden Hana from my surveillance during those two years."
His secretary hurriedly nodded. "I’ll find out immediately."
Brandon tapped his fingers against the armrest.
"Hana’s children couldn’t possibly have that much savings at their age, especially when Hana has been working so hard all this time. That means the three children have never told Hana anything about it. And most likely, they already know who their biological fathers are."
Brandon leaned his head against the back of the seat.
"Children like them will only bring trouble to Hana in the future. The method I’ve chosen should be the most appropriate one. They must die and stop interfering with my future life with Hana."
His fingers clenched tightly. He would have his own children with Hana, and that would be enough for him. In Hana’s future life, there could only be him and his own flesh and blood.
Brandon’s private plane finally landed in the eastern part of Melvin City as the sun began to rise. After unfastening the seat belt wrapped around Hana’s body, Brandon hurried off the plane while carrying the woman in his arms. His subordinates were already waiting there, while a black car was parked neatly not far from the plane.
Brandon carefully laid the still-sleeping Hana inside the car before slowly closing the door. Not far away, Laila and her female secretary were already waiting near the airport lounge.
"Take Hana to my private residence," Brandon said quietly to his secretary. "Keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t escape or slip out of your surveillance. You know what will happen if that occurs, don’t you?"
"Yes, Sir," his personal secretary replied, quickly nodding.
Brandon gestured for his secretary to leave with Hana, then walked toward Laila, the woman who would soon officially become his wife.
"Is something wrong?" he asked without changing his expression.
Laila sneered before turning toward the coffee shop at the airport. Brandon followed behind her. The shop had been privately reserved, so there were no other customers inside.
Laila sat by the window with a cup of coffee in front of her. The brown leather jacket she wore matched the color of her hair. After setting her coffee cup back on the table, she raised her face toward Brandon.
"Did you really bring that poor woman to Melvin City?" she asked.
Brandon sat across from her with a calm expression. "Didn’t I tell you yesterday? Don’t try to interfere with her if you still want our marriage to go ahead."
"Brandon... she’s just a poor, completely useless woman. Even in the past, if her family hadn’t gone bankrupt, she still wouldn’t have been worthy of even your little finger."
Brandon smiled coldly. "Whether she is worthy or not is something only I can decide. Not you or anyone else."
"You let people destroy her life in the past, and now you still want them to destroy her life again?"
"Laila..." Brandon spoke in a low voice. "Back then, I never had the chance to make you all pay for what you did to Hana. You’ve reminded me perfectly this time."
Laila snorted. "If you want to blame someone, you’d better blame your own parents. They were the ones most deeply involved. Besides... do you think your parents will gladly accept Hana as your mistress this time?"
"What do you want?"
Laila nodded to her secretary, who immediately handed Brandon a contract.
"What is this?" Brandon asked, frowning.
"We’ve been engaged since we were seven, Brandon. Long before you even knew Hana. And I, Laila Nair, will not accept even the slightest loss. Even if my parents agree to let Hana become your mistress without a second thought, do you think my grandfather will do the same? Don’t forget who helped your family reach the position it holds today."
Brandon read the document carefully. The farther he read, the deeper the frown on his forehead became.
A faint smile appeared on Laila’s lips. "Even though my grandfather no longer has any roots in the Melvin Continent, that doesn’t mean he can’t shake the foundations of your newly established family."
Laila rested her chin on one hand. "Don’t let Hana get pregnant with your child," she finally said. "At least... not until my child has officially become your family’s heir."
Brandon closed the folder without showing the slightest intention of signing it.
"Change the terms of the agreement," Brandon stated firmly. "I’m willing to give your child the position of my future heir, but that’s all. As for Hana, I’ll have children with her when she’s ready, not when your child has officially become my heir."
"Brandon. Are you sure you want my grandfather to find out about Hana? If he does, I’m sure you already know the consequences. They will be very different from what Hana experienced seven years ago."
"You can discuss this with your parents first. Ask your uncles and aunts. I think they’ll agree with my decision."
After saying that, he stood up from his chair.
"So you still want to have children with Hana even after I threatened you with my grandfather?" Laila asked as she stood up too.
"Brandon! Do you realize that this time, you’re not only putting your family in danger, but your own life as well? Do you think Hana is worth all of this?" she shouted.
Brandon had no intention of stopping. He continued walking toward the door.
"Brandon!" Laila shouted.
"If my grandfather takes action, Hana will truly be finished this time. You know that very well. Don’t you love her? Sign this before you leave. I’ll keep Hana’s existence hidden from my grandfather. But if you refuse, I can only expose her to him. And I guarantee that she won’t be able to do anything anymore."
Laila clenched her fists. "She will die," she declared.
Brandon finally stopped walking. He turned around and quickly returned to Laila’s side. He shoved her backward until her body hit the table behind her.
"Laila..." Brandon’s voice was low and threatening. "Are you threatening me?"
