My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 86: I’m not the one forcing you to die here
Brandon snorted. He accepted the report handed to him by the secretary standing beside him, glanced through it briefly, then threw all the sheets of paper in front of Dion Sexa and Orland Hesh.
Dion and Orland merely glanced at them without any intention of picking them up.
"Were you the ones who helped my mother hurt Hana in the past?" Brandon asked. "And what the hell is this now? Do you want to take Hana away from me again?"
"Back then, your mother was the one who approached us and proposed working together," Orland replied. "She paid us enough to take care of Hana."
Orland smiled mockingly. "Brandon, as the successor of the Vein family, you should be capable of using your brain. You have nothing, yet you told your mother and the elders of your family that you wanted to break off your engagement to Laila. Wasn’t that stupid?"
Dion, sitting beside him, nodded. "If you had been a little smarter back then and stopped repeatedly causing trouble within the Vein family, you could have hidden Hana away and made her your mistress long ago, even right under the noses of the people who support your family now."
Dion smiled derisively before adding, "What a shame. You were so foolish that you thought love could survive without power."
"Silence!" Brandon ordered in a low voice. "Tell me where you’ve hidden Hana. I won’t bother either of you at all if you agree to hand her back to me."
"On what grounds?" Dion asked. "What status do you have that would make us return Hana to you?"
Brandon clenched his fingers tightly. "Dion Sexa, stop talking nonsense. Hana and I love each other. She still loves me very much."
Orland, sitting beside Dion, chuckled. "That’s because she has lost her memories. Ask yourself this. If she knew that your mother was responsible for destroying her life like this, would she still love you?"
"And another thing," Orland continued, "you even intended to eliminate the three children she has raised for the past five years." He sneered. "You really are a fool, Brandon."
"Do you think you’re so clever?" Brandon asked. "Do you think all the evidence of your involvement seven years ago will simply disappear?"
The previously relaxed expressions on Orland Hesh’s and Dion Sexa’s faces tightened, if only for a moment.
"Are you threatening us?"
"Hand over Hana, and all that evidence will truly disappear."
Dion leaned back in his chair. "If you want to expose everything, your mother will be dragged into it as well. So will the Vein family," he retorted. "Do you think you’ll still be able to stand firmly in your current position after bringing us down with the evidence you have?"
Orland nodded. "Although we’ll also suffer the consequences if everything comes to light, I guarantee that you and your family will suffer first. The Vein family will bear full responsibility for this matter."
He tapped his fingers against the armrest before speaking again. "Never think we don’t know what dirty things you did to Hana in the past. You have evidence. Do you think we don’t have any of our own?"
"You even handed Hana’s own house over to the very person who wanted to destroy her family more than anyone else. Do you think you can walk away from all this unscathed? Keep dreaming."
Brandon leaned his head against the back of his chair. He closed his eyes for a few moments, then took a deep breath to suppress the emotions threatening to spill over.
When he opened his eyes again, he looked at Dion and Orland in turn. "What do you want in exchange for handing Hana over to me?"
"Brandon," Dion Sexa called, making the man immediately turn toward him.
"What do you have as a successor that we don’t? You’re standing here solely because of the supporters hiding behind your family. Do you think the Sexa family, which has held power for years, lacks that kind of support? What I don’t have doesn’t necessarily mean you have it. Likewise, just because the Vein family possesses something doesn’t mean the Sexa family lacks it."
Orland nodded. "The Hesh family has never been short of money, even compared to your Vein family. So don’t try to negotiate with us about what we want. We already have what we want."
Crash!
Brandon rose and kicked the glass table in front of him, sending it sliding toward Dion and Orland.
Dion reacted quickly when he saw it coming. He raised his legs and shifted his chair aside, turning it away from the table. Meanwhile, Orland, whose physical condition was not as good as Dion’s, immediately groaned when the edge of the table struck his knee.
He glared at Brandon in annoyance. "Damn it, you bastard! How dare you hurt me?" he shouted.
His secretary, standing beside him, moved to help, but Orland pushed him away.
"Tell Maya to come here. I’m giving her five minutes. If she doesn’t come immediately and explain herself, I’ll have no choice but to expose her affairs to the public," he growled.
Brandon smiled contemptuously. "Orland Hesh, do you think I haven’t prepared anything?"
The secretary standing beside Orland looked cautiously at his master.
"Sir, he has already blocked all communication channels in this place."
"Now tell me, where did you send Hana?" Brandon demanded.
He glanced at his subordinates, who were now surrounding Dion, Orland, and their men.
"You can see for yourselves, can’t you?"
"Are you going to kill us?" Dion Sexa shouted. He massaged his temples before looking at Orland in frustration.
Who would have thought that Orland Hesh would become so stupid after being beaten up by him and Hans that he ended up losing his transit permit?
"What do you think? Am I going to kill you or not?" Brandon asked.
He sat back down in his chair, his face clearly displaying his triumph.
Dion exhaled sharply. "Do you know the consequences of killing one of the rulers of the territories of the Melvin Continent?"
Brandon shrugged. "I’m not the one forcing you to die here. I’ve already offered you another choice. I only want Hana," he emphasized.
"Brandon," Orland said, breathing heavily. "I’m going to tell you something. Listen carefully."
Brandon glanced at him, one hand propping up his chin.
"Two years after your mother destroyed Hana’s family, she wasn’t immediately expelled from Melvin Capital. Dion Sexa, Hans Xin, and I allowed her to stay there."
Orland stared intently at Brandon.
"Do you know why?" he asked. "Because we wanted Hana to see the whole truth with her own eyes. And do you know what happened during those two years?"
Brandon tightened his grip on the armrest of his chair.
"What?"
