Chapter 336 - 90 Days Later
[VOLUME 3 BEGINS HERE]
Three whole months passed in relative peace.
A great deal of rebuilding took place across the kingdom during that time, and little by little, the country settled back into normalcy.
That morning, Ethan lay back on the couch in his room, with Isabella naked on his lap and facing him in a straddled position
He rubbed her back gently with slow strokes, while she moved her hips in lazy circles, riding slowly against his hardness.
"That was so good," she whispered, still catching her breath from the sex they just finished.
Ethan smiled. "We have work, Babe. I’ve got to head to the Arc companies. There’s a board meeting and stuff. And you’re keeping Valerie waiting."
He added after a brief pause, "Remember, you’re staff now. You’re supposed to go to Stark City with her."
Isabella’s eyes sparkled with mischief as she slid her hand down between them, grabbed his hardness, and pressed it deeper inside her.
"You want to go to work but you’re still pretty hard for more," she said, starting to move a little faster.
Ethan’s head arched back on the couch. "Nooo, this woman..."
She pulled his head closer and pressed his mouth to her nipple. Ethan sucked and circled his tongue on it, which made her moan softly into his ear. "Babe... I never want to get up from here."
They started riding each other again. She bounced on him steadily, filling his ears with her moaning.
With his hands gripping over her ass, Ethan thrust up each time, forcing short gasps out of her. They went at it for another thirty minutes, switching between slow grinding and harder riding.
Eventually, they both reached their climaxes, leaving them resting lazily in each other’s arms.
She wrapped him in a tight embrace, while he pulled her even closer, neither of them making any real effort to move; which only prolonged the time they were supposed to be getting ready for work.
After a while, Ethan then stood up and started walking toward the bathroom.
But Isabella reached out and gave his backside a playful tap, making his body jolt as his eyes widened.
She burst into laughter.
Ethan immediately stretched a hand toward the bed, levitated one of the pillows into his grasp, and tossed it straight at her.
It smacked against her face, sending her tumbling backward onto the cushions as she laughed even harder.
"That’s a violation," he said, laughing too as he stepped into the bathroom.
——
Eventually, Ethan came out of the manor fully dressed in his three piece suit.
As soon as he stepped out into the open, he called out, "Titania."
A magic circle appeared before him, and his summon emerged from it. It was a strikingly curvaceous dragon woman, with a gravity defying plump chest and long flowing hair.
She had dark metallic scales that ran all the way to her tail, long horns, red eyes and a sly expression.
Titania looked at him with a sly smile before speaking in a devious, feminine tone.
"My king... have you finally considered my request to mate with me?"
Ethan shook his head. "No, I haven’t. And I don’t know when I will."
Titania stepped a little closer. "Then I shall keep persuading you. Only a—"
Ethan sighed. "Titania, just transform. We need to go."
"Yes, my king." She immediately shifted into her dragon form after being cut off, and Ethan floated onto her back.
With a powerful beat of her wings, she launched into the sky, letting the rushing wind stream past them as she flew at full speed.
As strange as it sounded, this had somehow become his favorite way to travel.
He had grown to prefer the open skies over cramped cars these days, one of the many subtle changes that had come with embracing his dragon nature.
Of course, he only traveled this way when he was alone.
Titania had been making the same request every day for the past four days.
Apparently, it was perfectly normal for dragons, especially females, whenever they entered their mating season.
Even as a summon, Titania still experienced that natural part of a dragon’s biological cycle.
When female dragons entered that period, their instinct was to seek out the strongest male in their vicinity and invite him to mate.
———
Eventually, Ethan arrived at Arc Company, the nation’s largest communications technology manufacturer and the company behind nearly every Arc product in circulation.
From the widely used ArcPhones to the increasingly popular ArcTabs, along with countless other devices, that gradually became part of everyone’s daily life.
The board meeting had already begun.
Inside the conference room, several members of the company’s board sat around a long table while discussions continued.
Percival glanced at the empty seat beside Hayley before sending another message.
Me: Where are you, man? They’re about to cast the votes.
Ethan had just stepped into the company’s building when his Arcphone vibrated.
He glanced at Percival’s message while continuing forward, with fingers quickly moving across the screen.
Me: I’m here already.
He sent it before slipping the phone back into his pocket.
-
Back inside the meeting room...
Percival quietly lowered his phone after reading the reply, a subtle smile appearing on his face.
Then he looked toward the opposite side of the table, where Hayley and another board member, Toney, were currently arguing over something so insignificant that even several of the other board members had stopped paying attention.
"...That’s not even what I said."
"Oh really?" Hayley folded her arms. "Then perhaps you’d like to explain what you actually meant."
"I literally just did." He said
"No, you avoided the question."
Tony rubbed his forehead. "I didn’t avoid—"
"You absolutely did." She said back
Several members exchanged confused glances.
Even Gaston Arcorys, who sat at the head of the table, had begun showing visible irritation.
His face slowly crumpled into a frown. "Enough of this argument, you both. We are casting the votes now"
Gaston was their uncle and the elder brother of both their late father, Marvin, and Marvin’s twin, Melvin.
Much like his younger brothers, he was a tall and broad shouldered man. He had amber-hued eyes and possessed the white hair of the arcorys wolf clan.
Right then the conference room doors opened.
Ethan stepped inside, and Percival quietly pumped his fist beneath the table in victory.
Gaston looked toward the entrance before clicking his tongue in slight annoyance.
He had wanted the votes to be cast before Mr. Stark entered.
That was because, during board votes, each person’s voting power was determined by the percentage of company shares they held.
House Stark was a part owner of Arc Company, holding a 40% stake.
The Arcorys family, represented by its current head, Gaston, controlled another 40%.
Although Percival and Hayley were members of the Arcorys family, they were regarded as separate shareholders, each holding a 2% stake.
It was an arrangement their father had deliberately put in place, ensuring his children owned shares independently rather than under the House Arcorys name, which was controlled solely by whoever held the position of family head.
Ethan walked toward his seat. "My apologies," he said calmly. "I couldn’t make it at the start of the meeting."
Hayley smiled, then sat back down. Totally abandoning the silly argument she had with Mr Toney.
Gaston watched the two siblings for a brief moment before realizing that meaningless argument had simply been a way to delay the vote until Ethan arrived.
His expression darkened slightly, but he chose not to comment.
Instead, he adjusted the documents before him before addressing everyone.
"Very well. Let us proceed to the motion."
