My Weekly Refreshing Mentor Spirit
Chapter 794 - 452: The Apostle Descends from the Heavens, Furious and Menacing
"So that’s how it is... the Beast that ends everything..." Xue Dili stared blankly at the page in "Genesis" that depicted a creature covered entirely in Cursed Blood armor, with large holes in its hands, and gradually understood everything.
This might be the path he was originally designed to take: first becoming the "Beast," then ending the Divine Era. By doing so, he had already completed his assigned task.
However, his mother didn’t expect him to not be a model student who follows the rules but more like a fully insured semi-truck hauling steel coils, crashing through the driving test site and even flattening the road that was meant for his growth.
But now he finally understood the power of the ritual and why Zeus Old Deng would make his mother so apprehensive, to the point where she decided to end the Divine Era and toss all the chaotic beings into the subspace wilderness to survive.
In just a thousand years, such an exceptional entity like Zeus emerged; his mother dared not imagine what more might come if given more time. On Earth, those Tier Five beings in the Divine Era had reached their peak. To progress further, they could only go down the path of possessing Earth’s original status...
Zeus was the first, but surely he wouldn’t be the last...
"Actually, your world’s history provided me an excellent material, a glimpse into what kind of ecological environment develops in an area with a high concentration of Venerable King Spirits... But now it seems too much concentration is not necessarily a good thing..." Mimic Venerable King also mocked.
Xue Dili thought of Susu’s hometown, a world self-destructed by a twisted group of "Artificial Gods."
It was a world capable of breaking through Tier Five, where even their Artificial Gods could fend off with the apostles and push back the Seventh Apostle’s clan.
However, once external threats were gone, those Artificial Gods quickly twisted into demons living by their dominion, becoming entities more chaotic than the apostles.
The cosmos itself is a vast disorder; it seems that in any scenario, gaining significant power without guidance naturally turns one into a chaotic being.
Xue Dili suddenly felt grateful for the Venerable King’s existence, a True God who saved the cosmos, whose concept after saving it became an Evil God in subspace, sealing off all other chaotic beings within the subspace barrier he created.
This led to the formation of this Order organization, the Interstellar Corps, which follows the Venerable King’s life trajectory.
By walking the Venerable King’s path, all members held an incomparable savior’s heart. Though their initial motivation might not have been so pure, they simply wanted to advance along the Venerable King’s path to gain greater strength.
The more they did good deeds, the closer they got to the Venerable King, and thus, they became stronger. This strength provided positive feedback, encouraging them to continue doing good, standing up for the weak in the cosmos, imitating the Venerable King...
So it formed a positive feedback loop.
However, no matter the intention, whether the Interstellar Corps mimicked the Venerable King to gain power or genuinely to do good, in the end, they indeed brought exceptional order to cosmic civilization.
Xue Dili gradually understood everything.
This copy of "Genesis" he held was also a ritual formulated by Earth’s Divine Era beings, attempting to mimic the Venerable King and achieve alignment with his concept.
This was now the third path to approach the Venerable King...
...
Meanwhile, upon seeing the charred corpse on the ground, the Baron silently carried it to a pit and buried it...
"None of us can escape this ritual..." He murmured softly, the Knight who killed the Viscount’s entire family out of sheer anger. He could not bear the thought of a demon responsible for countless murders being punished only with demotion and exile. Even if exiled to the borders, they could still maintain their influence...
In the end, he chose to forsake his title to kill the demon’s entire family, leaving none alive, not sparing the old, the weak, the women, or the children!
But now, in the end, he was the only one left.
After burying the charred corpse, he looked up at the sky; dawn was breaking, and he hadn’t rested properly in three days. His bloodshot eyes gave him a slightly crazed appearance.
"Perhaps there’s one last chance to escape, and that’s shipbuilding..." he thought.
No matter how bizarre this place was, he just needed to build a ship to leave.
Though he had no weapons or tools, he smiled as he looked around the forest, still smoldering after a great fire.
Soon, he found a tree not yet burned through and some split rocks, crafting a stone axe to start carving.
The tree, severed by the fire but not burned through, was carbonized on the outside while its inside was not entirely burned. This made its density very low, allowing him to hollow out the trunk for a fine dugout canoe.
Soon, the Baron finished crafting the dugout canoe, gathered branches from across the river to make oars, and thus completed his final survival tools.
