My Wife Might Be a Saintess
Chapter 455 - 454: Your Wife Is in My Hands
Chapter 455: Chapter 454: Your Wife Is in My Hands
The Golden Armor—oh, the Silver Armor—didn’t know what was wrong with the world, but something had definitely happened.
He knew that no one at the Martial King Realm existed in the present era.
So there had to be a problem somewhere. While this problem might be a change for the better, he still wanted to investigate.
According to their agreement, his main body could not leave the Holy Land. The mission had to continue.
However, his avatar could leave for short periods.
Then, the Golden Armor—oh, the Silver Armor—waved his hand.
Instantly, several Silver Armors appeared by his side.
"I need to go out for a while. You all are to guard the Holy Land," said the Golden Armor, who was now the Silver Armor Leader.
One of the Silver Armors immediately asked, "Can the one in the Forbidden Land not leave? The Ten Thousand Leaves Immortal Spirit has been destroyed. Does this mean it’s all over?"
The Silver Armor Leader shook his head. "The Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion has his own considerations. It’s impossible he didn’t think of this. In fact, this might be the very outcome he hoped for."
"However, this outcome must have also brought about something he couldn’t have predicted."
"Do we continue to wait?" the other Silver Armors asked.
The Silver Armor Leader said, "We continue to wait. For the oath of the past, for our sins, and for the era of peace they gave us."
"We continue to wait, until our demise."
"We will uphold the oath, until our demise."
"If any problems arise, awaken my main body immediately. Nothing can happen to the Holy Land," the Silver Armor Leader commanded.
After they acknowledged his orders, the Silver Armor Leader left the Holy Land.
Only Jian Shisan was able to sense his departure.
However, Jian Shisan paid it no mind. With his Cultivation, he naturally knew how special the Holy Land was.
The upper echelons of the Holy Land knew as well.
Everything was for the sake of the Forbidden Land’s existence.
Although they didn’t know the specifics, as people of the Holy Land, they naturally had to abide by certain rules.
Moreover, the Holy Land never forced anyone. Besides the Saintess Corps, which was bound by restrictions, others were free to do as they pleased as long as they didn’t negatively impact the Holy Land.
Take Yue Xi, for instance. She had directly opposed the core affairs of the Holy Land, which was why she had been locked up.
’There are many presences beneath the Holy Land that completely surpass my own. The stronger I become, the more terrifying the Holy Land feels.’ From the shadows, Jian Shisan watched Yue Xi by the Holy Beast Lake. He felt that if he wanted to protect his junior sister, he needed even greater strength.
And he had been wrong about one thing: the one from the Cursed Land was not an unsolvable problem.
As long as it threatened his junior sister, any problem could be solved.
All threats would be solved by his sword alone. His sword would never break.
At that moment, Jian Shisan’s Sword Intent flickered in and out of existence. His path to Attaining the Dao had already begun.
Because of this ripple in the Sword Dao, Yue Xi, who was in the middle of bickering with Xuanwu, sensed it.
Others might not have noticed it, but this particular Dao was related to her, so she was unusually sensitive to it.
"What a freak." He really was a freak. Yue Xi had never seen such a genius. (Of course, she had started peeking again, which was also pretty freaky.)
In the past, her Cultivation and Jian Shisan’s had been more or less on the same level.
They had reached Tier Three at the same time, Tier Four at the same time, Tier Five at the same time, and Tier Six at the same time. But she got stuck at Tier Six Peak, while Jian Shisan leaped past it to Tier Seven, then Tier Seven Pseudo-Enlightenment.
After he left for several hundred years, Yue Xi’s Cultivation still hadn’t progressed. But when Jian Shisan returned, he was a Tier Seven Daoist.
Not long after that, he went straight to Tier Eight Inquiry. He made progress then, and he was making progress again now.
It had only been about a month.
Yue Xi felt as if Jian Shisan’s Cultivation and his Realm in the Dao had suddenly been unshackled.
"I really don’t know what heights he’ll reach in the end," Yue Xi murmured.
"Old Qi, what are you talking about?" Xuanwu asked.
"I was just wondering when I’ll be able to step onto my own Dao," Yue Xi said.
"Why do you need to step onto your own Dao? We of the Xuanwu Race don’t bother with Enlightenment. We just focus on Cultivation, and we’re not any worse than those humans," Xuanwu said.
In Xuanwu’s eyes, if it could cultivate the Mijie Sacred Image, then Old Qi could too.
Even though Old Qi was human, she was special. They had grown up together.
Yue Xi smiled. "Yes, yes, I’ll be counting on you to teach me then, Big Sis."
"Of course I’ll teach you!" Xuanwu agreed happily.

The next morning, Su Qi shook Jiang Zuo awake.
Jiang Zuo looked exhausted. "Let me sleep a little longer."
"We didn’t even do anything last night, so why do you look so tired? Have I been too good to you?" Su Qi said, displeased.
Seeing no reaction from Jiang Zuo, Su Qi started taking off her nightgown. "In that case, I won’t hold back."
Jiang Zuo groggily glanced over. His mind jolted, and he sat bolt upright, grabbing her nightgown. "Don’t be rash."
Su Qi looked at Jiang Zuo and said, "Let go."
Jiang Zuo said with a deadpan expression, "No matter the hardship or difficulty, I will never let you go. I won’t let go."
Su Qi said helplessly, "I need to change! I don’t have time. Our flight is at nine-something, we’re going to be late."
Jiang Zuo let go and mumbled, "Oh."
Su Qi was speechless. Then she said, "If we miss the flight, we’ll leave at nine tomorrow instead. And I’ll let you sleep right up until the very last second before we have to leave."
Jiang Zuo’s eyes were devoid of any ripple of emotion. He gave Su Qi a vacant look.
’Is this woman threatening me?’
’She’s really getting more and more out of hand.’
Then, Jiang Zuo silently got up and started dressing. After he finished, he added, "I’ll brush my teeth and wash my face first, then I’ll help you tie your hair."
Su Qi smiled and nodded. "See? Wouldn’t it have been better to just do this from the start?"
Jiang Zuo didn’t say anything. He didn’t feel like talking to her.
While Jiang Zuo was still washing up, Su Qi finished getting dressed and came over to him.
Su Qi stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame as she watched Jiang Zuo.
Jiang Zuo, of course, saw Su Qi approach. Seeing her staring at him, he couldn’t help but pause his brushing and look at her.
Su Qi smiled. "You just keep brushing. I’m just watching."
Jiang Zuo ignored her and went back to brushing his teeth.
Just then, Su Qi walked in. She leaned against Jiang Zuo and said to their reflections in the mirror, "How does it feel to wake up to a strange wife? Does it give you any... other impulses?"
Jiang Zuo: "..."
’Didn’t you say you were just watching?’
’Why are you leaning on me?’
In truth, neither of them looked like themselves at the moment, but it didn’t make much of a difference to Jiang Zuo.
He had his own way of seeing people; in his "eyes," Su Qi was always Su Qi.
That was why he had no desire to answer Su Qi’s question at all.
Because any answer he gave would be the wrong one.
When Jiang Zuo didn’t answer, Su Qi moved behind him and whispered, "Your wife is in my hands. You’d better do as I say, or else..."
"Then I’ll just get a new one," Jiang Zuo retorted, spitting out his toothpaste foam.
In an instant, the look on Su Qi’s face changed.
What followed was the sound of a vicious beating coming from the bathroom.
Jiang Zuo was exasperated. Su Qi was the one who started joking around, but the moment he joked back, she resorted to violence?
’What kind of nonsense is this?’
’Was my joke not funny or something?’
