"Have I gotten dumber?" Su Qi asked on the way.

She had been tricked by Demon Cultivator Mo Yan twice, and she even lost her sword and that needle. I was supposed to be the winner, but now I feel like I’ve lost so badly.

Jiang Zuo shook his head. "No, you were always this dumb."

"HISS~" The words had barely left his mouth when Jiang Zuo sucked in a sharp breath.

Su Qi was biting his wrist again. Her Tier Three jaws were far more terrifying than before.

If he wasn’t careful, she might actually take a chunk out of him.

Jiang Zuo had no choice but to say, "It was Sister Jingjing who said it! She said you got dumber after getting together with me."

"Ish ’innochent and pure’," Su Qi corrected, her words muffled as she bit down on Jiang Zuo’s hand.

"Right, innocent and pure. Now let go," Jiang Zuo said hastily.

Su Qi huffed before letting go. Then she said, "Even if I got dumber, you didn’t. Why didn’t you remind me that I forgot my things?"

Jiang Zuo was helpless. ’I wasn’t even paying attention to that stuff, so how could I have reminded her?’

Su Qi watched as a swarm of Fire Elements continuously found the path through the Maze Array. "So we just follow them all the way to the end?" she asked.

"What else do you suggest?" Jiang Zuo asked.

"Doesn’t this feel a bit too easy?" Su Qi said.

Jiang Zuo shrugged and pointed ahead. "I don’t know. But it looks like we’re here. This place is pretty small."

And indeed, they had arrived.

It wasn’t that the place was small, but that they had taken the most direct route. Everyone else was still wandering around inside.

A Fairy was waiting at the finish line, and she sighed in relief when she saw them emerge.

’Finally, someone’s here. I was starting to think no one would show up all day.’

’The main issue is the Maze Array. It’s too effective. Hardly anyone below Tier Five bothers to properly study Arrays. And while this Array isn’t difficult, you really can’t get here without having studied them at all.’

’And this is the one true exit.’

Before she could finish, Jiang Zuo held out his hand. "Our reward."

The host was speechless.

Though she was annoyed, the host still took out a translucent red stone. "This is our special prize."

"To inspire the other participants, we’ll need to record your portraits and names."

"May I have your Daoist names?"

Jiang Zuo: "Passerby A."

Su Qi: "Passerby B."

The host forced a smile. "Hehe... what romantic Daoist names for a couple. (’What a couple of weirdos.’)"

"Oh, right," the host said quickly, seeing Jiang Zuo fiddling with the stone. "It has a Protective Shield on it that can withstand a single blow from a Tier Five Peak cultivator."

Hearing about this added feature, Su Qi had Jiang Zuo put it on. "This one’s much better. The last one didn’t have any Skills at all."

Jiang Zuo nodded and fastened it onto his wrist. He now had two stones.

’As for that Skill,’ Jiang Zuo thought, ’it’s probably just an incentive to get people to wear it.’

’This one is the same as the other, anyway—it’s for collecting emotions. Just a different kind of emotion.’

"How boring. To think humans would be so shocked by a scene like that," An Xi said as she walked away from the fruit-cutting event.

Gu Jiansheng had actually been quite shocked himself, but he couldn’t let it show.

An Xi looked at Gu Jiansheng. "Your performance was a great disappointment to me."

Gu Jiansheng replied, "I did my best."

An Xi surveyed her surroundings. "Let’s not bother with any more competitions. Let’s see what else is here. This place can probably only last for a day."

Gu Jiansheng frowned. "Are you saying this place is dangerous?"

An Xi glanced at Gu Jiansheng. "Why should I tell you?"

Gu Jiansheng said nothing and calmly followed behind An Xi.

An Xi, of course, couldn’t care less what Gu Jiansheng was thinking.

Then, the water sprouted a head and tentacles, making it look like a jellyfish.

But it definitely wasn’t a jellyfish.

"I’m going to have people try to kill this Water Spirit," An Xi said.

Gu Jiansheng was surprised. "Can I try?" he asked.

An Xi tossed the Water Spirit directly to Gu Jiansheng. "Go ahead. Forget you—even a Tier Nine cultivator might not be able to kill it."

"In all my long years, I’ve only met a few who could truly kill a Water Spirit."

Gu Jiansheng didn’t believe her. He tried, but found that no matter how he attacked the Water Spirit, he couldn’t kill it.

He couldn’t just not kill it; he couldn’t even injure it with his full strength. It was truly bizarre.

Gu Jiansheng didn’t ask any more questions. Instead, he said, "This is simple. We just find a suitable spot, set up a stall, and invite people to try and kill it."

Silver Armor said no more. He walked up to the Water Spirit and tapped it with one finger.
