Chapter 527: Chapter 526: The Mountain Peak That Could Not Withstand the Forging
Jiang Zuo held the Forging Hammer, striking the Stone of Seven Emotions and Six Desires.
It was impossible to beat the Stone of Seven Emotions and Six Desires out of shape. Jiang Zuo was only focused on the Runes; all he had to do was hammer them into the stone.
Yet, the more Jiang Zuo hammered, the more excited he grew.
He hadn’t intended to cause such a commotion.
But his smile grew increasingly deranged. It had been so long since he’d gotten to hammer like this; he was ecstatic.
’I can’t stop until it’s absolutely perfect. I won’t stop!’
’Hahaha! How exhilarating!’
RUMBLE!
Lightning struck down, but Jiang Zuo only grew more excited. "Bring it on!"
He immediately activated the Grand Array to capture the bolts, then channeled the lightning to increase his efficiency.
’Now *this* is what I’m talking about. Forging without thunder is just plain boring. Utterly dull.’
’So let the storm rage even wilder!’
As Jiang Zuo channeled the lightning, the emergent Runes grew even more immense.
The power was about to exceed what he could handle, but he was too caught up in the excitement.
’How could I possibly slow down now?’
’I’ll push everything to its breaking point first and deal with the consequences later.’
As Jiang Zuo continuously ramped up his power and expanded his influence, dark clouds gathered in the sky. They resembled the clouds of a tribulation, but they weren’t quite the same. Nevertheless, the lightning began to strike with greater force.
What was once a single bolt of lightning now became four, striking the Forging Platform relentlessly, as if trying to shatter the entire Forging Peak.
At this moment, Chu Qing finally arrived at the Spiritual Control Sect with her father. (Her mother was too slow, so they swapped her out.)
They immediately made their way to Forging Peak.
But the moment she arrived, she froze. She found that she couldn’t comprehend what she was seeing.
She knew for a fact it was forging, but she still couldn’t make sense of it.
The endless Runes, the eight pillars of fire, the four bolts of lightning, the frenzied sounds of hammering—she understood each of these elements on their own.
But when they were all combined, she couldn’t understand it in the slightest.
’This is forging?’
’What level of forging is this?’
Her brother, Chu Qing, trembled beside her. ’She can’t understand it,’ he worried. ’Is she going to be disappointed?’
However, Chu Qing was mistaken. His sister, far from being disappointed, seemed even more energized. She was filled with yearning—a yearning to one day reach such a level herself.
She wanted to forge. More than anything.
As long as she could forge in this lifetime, she would do anything.
Seeing his daughter like this, Chu Qing’s father sighed. It seemed his daughter would be stuck on his hands for life.
He had no idea when she would ever snap out of her forging obsession.
Still, seeing Po Xiao’s work firsthand, he was truly astonished. ’So this is Jiang Zuo’s forging... He’s about to trigger a Celestial Tribulation!’
’In the entire world of forging, how many people could possibly do this?’
Normally, only the forging of an extraordinary Magical Treasure was enough to trigger a Celestial Tribulation.
Even a Dao Artifact often wasn’t enough to call one down.
Anything capable of summoning a Celestial Tribulation had to be a Dao Artifact among Dao Artifacts—immeasurably powerful.
Chu Qing’s father shook his head and sighed. ’What a pity. The man already has a partner, yet my daughter insists on pinning all her hopes on him.’
The situation naturally drew a great deal of attention. The Spiritual Control Sect was already in a precarious state; a sudden lightning storm like this was bound to put the entire sect on edge.
But when they came to investigate, they were met with the sound of rhythmic hammering.
Within those sounds seemed to lie a profound power, one that stirred the desires of all who heard it.
Those who sensed this didn’t dare approach; in fact, they began to retreat.
Only those with higher Cultivation dared to linger, but even they didn’t risk getting too close.
Ximen Chuihuo and the others had already retreated a great distance.
This forging was absolutely brutal.
Then, the sound of forging began to radiate outward, forcing everyone to retreat even further.
Meanwhile, the nearby Spirit Beasts, which had been listless, suddenly grew excited upon hearing the rhythm of the forging and began to leap about.
They were simply too weak at the moment, with no strength to back up their excitement. Otherwise, there might have been an incident.
Jiang Zuo’s eyes were locked on the Stone of Seven Emotions and Six Desires. He would forge it, forge it to utter perfection.
The Stone of Seven Emotions and Six Desires, originally dull and opaque, began to turn transparent and crystalline under Jiang Zuo’s relentless hammering.
Though its shape remained unchanged, the stone was beginning to transform dramatically as the Runes merged with it and the lightning tempered it.
What was once the color of an ordinary rock was now shifting to a pale blue and growing even more translucent.
Jiang Zuo knew he was close. It was almost finished.
Jiang Zuo’s pace quickened, and the lightning in the sky grew more terrifying, as if it were truly about to evolve into a Celestial Tribulation.
Any more of this, and it really would become a Celestial Tribulation.
The colossal sounds of forging echoed, one strike after another, and the entire mountain peak seemed unable to withstand the strain.
Layers of rock began to shear off the peak, as if it were about to collapse.
This time, the sound of forging was deafening, as swift and violent as a thunderclap.
The booming grew louder with each strike, until a final peal shot straight into the heavens. RUMBLE! A long, resonant ring pierced the sky.
And with that final, ringing cry, the entire Forging Peak collapsed with a thunderous roar.
Everyone stared, dumbfounded. ’It... it collapsed?’
’It really collapsed?’
’He was just forging something, and he hammered the entire mountain into rubble?’
Many people couldn’t understand it. Even Chu Qing was completely baffled.
Forging wasn’t supposed to be this dramatic, and yet what they had just witnessed with their own eyes was exactly that.
But aside from a select few, most people had no idea who was forging, let alone what they looked like.
Just then, someone asked, "Uh, do you think... maybe that person died in there?
I seem to recall a final lightning bolt that looked a lot like a Celestial Tribulation, didn’t it?"
At this, many people started heading toward the ruins of Forging Peak.
Even Lady Ximen and Ximen Chuihuo went straight over.
’If Po Xiao really died in there, that would be disastrous.’
Soon, a crowd had gathered. Lady Ximen waved a hand, instantly clearing the dust from the rubble.
But once the dust settled, there was nothing but rubble. Nothing at all.
"Blasted to smithereens?" someone suddenly piped up.
Ximen Chuihuo frowned. ’Blasted to smithereens?’
’I don’t buy it.’
’So, I’d better just call him.’
Ximen Chuihuo called Po Xiao’s phone, but it went straight to voicemail.
This was perfectly normal, of course. When Jiang Zuo was forging, he was bound to block all incoming calls. With the exception of Su Qi, almost no one could get through.
This time, however, he had told Duan Qiao not to pick up even if it was Su Qi. He would talk to her after he finished forging.
Answering the phone in the middle of forging was just asking for trouble.
Jiang Zuo, of course, was perfectly fine. As he emerged from the collapsing Forging Peak, he had collected the Stone of Seven Emotions and Six Desires and its impurities.
Now, what he had to do was solve the problem with the Spirit Beasts.
The fact that the Spirit Beasts were growing weak was naturally related to the Spiritual Control Sect.
After all, the Spirit Beasts outside the sect were completely fine.
At this point, Jiang Zuo let Sweet Potato out as well.
He was curious to see if Sweet Potato would also become weaker.
There was just one thing Jiang Zuo wasn’t sure about: ’Can Sweet Potato even get any weaker?’
It couldn’t even beat Duan Qiao. It was the absolute bottom of the barrel. Besides eating apples and making a mess at home, what else could it possibly do?
Jiang Zuo felt that in a way, Sweet Potato was pretty amazing. For a Vermilion Bird Descendant, it was impressively useless.

Let me recommend a book called *Summoning Invincible Mythology*.
I promise this isn’t one of those new books that only lasts for six Chapters.
If it is, you can come back and flame me.
Oh, and the synopsis is pretty hype.
Also, it should be getting a contract on Monday, so you can go and make an investment in it. (This word count is not included in the Chapter fee.)
