My Wife Might Be a Saintess
Chapter 533 - 532: Is Qin Tian King Qin Wu?
Chapter 533: Chapter 532: Is Qin Tian King Qin Wu?
Jiang Zuo was not very satisfied with the Jinling Loach’s ambiguous answer.
The main reason he had come was to solve this problem.
Based on the Jinling Loach’s strength, this power could still be maintained for many more days.
"It’s like this. The Spiritual Control Sect actually has a very powerful Spirit Beast that is still alive. It was originally left for the younger generation."
The Jinling Loach sized up the person before it, terrified of saying the wrong thing.
It was strange. It didn’t even know what it was afraid of. The other party clearly wasn’t strong, yet it didn’t dare to resist.
He just stood there, as if at the summit of the world, as if he could suppress everything, viewing all living things as insignificant and all of creation as mere grains of sand.
It was a very subtle feeling, yet he didn’t seem that dangerous.
Then, the Jinling Loach said, "I didn’t plan on borrowing its power at first. But a while ago, I sensed that the Spirit Beast might have been corrupted by its Seal. It’s highly likely to act against the Spiritual Control Sect, so I prepared to stop it."
Jiang Zuo looked at the Jinling Loach, then started walking up the stone steps.
The Jinling Loach followed him. These stone steps were difficult for it to climb, so now that someone was clearing the way, there was no reason to miss the opportunity.
Jiang Zuo walked ahead and said, "Are you very familiar with the Spiritual Control Sect?"
An outsider Spirit Beast comes to the Spiritual Control Sect, discovers a problem, and immediately wants to help?
Wasn’t that a bit too naive?
"Not at all. This is my first time here," the Jinling Loach said from behind.
It found that as long as it wasn’t facing this person directly, he wasn’t as terrifying.
Although his back looked imposing, it was much better than facing him.
Then, the Jinling Loach added, "But we absolutely have to help the Spiritual Control Sect. At least, that’s how it is for us."
"Why?" Jiang Zuo was curious.
Jiang Zuo knew that Qin Tian, the Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion, was acquainted with the founder of the Spiritual Control Sect, but were they on such good terms?
Then Jiang Zuo seemed to think of something and asked, "For food?"
’Considering how Qin Tian and his people raised the Yongxi, they must like to eat.’
"Of course not," the Lingling Loach said. "Master and the others have the Yongxi. How could they rely on a big farm like the Spiritual Control Sect? That Old Beggar from the Spiritual Control Sect even comes to us to mooch food and drinks."
Jiang Zuo turned to look back at the Jinling Loach, which made it jump in fright. ’Did I say something wrong?’ it thought.
Jiang Zuo didn’t know what the Jinling Loach was thinking. He just asked, "You know a lot?"
He had asked the Yongxi a few things before, but it knew nothing.
"I know a little," the Jinling Loach replied, lowering its head.
Jiang Zuo turned back around and continued walking forward. "Is King Qin Wu the same person as Qin Tian?"
"Of course he is," the Jinling Loach said, its voice swelling with pride. "Besides Master, who else is worthy of being called a king?"
"The Yongxi doesn’t know any of this. How do you?" Jiang Zuo asked.
The mention of the Yongxi displeased the Jinling Loach. It said sarcastically, "It’s delicious, so it has to be well-protected. A pampered Vase. I, on the other hand, was a combatant, so naturally I know more."
Obviously, it wasn’t very tasty, so it could only risk its life in battle.
"Combat? The Ancient Battlefield? The Celestial Stele Divine War?" Jiang Zuo was about to turn back, but on second thought, decided against it.
The Jinling Loach shook its head. "I don’t think so. We were just stabilizing the situation in various places. As for the war you mentioned, that was probably the last place Master went.
The elders in my family wouldn’t let me go."
"Is that so," Jiang Zuo replied calmly.
"But I only fought in one battle before I was seriously injured and sent back. The world was in utter chaos back then, and all living things were on the brink of extinction. If it weren’t for Master, there wouldn’t be the peace we have now.
And yet, I’ve been out for so long, spent some time recovering, and then spent more time investigating, only to find that you all have forgotten what happened back then.
You don’t even know what gratitude is," the Jinling Loach said, annoyed.
No one even remembered its master’s great achievements.
Jiang Zuo didn’t particularly care how chaotic it was back then. Of course, he didn’t deny any of it either.
They were the ones who brought peace to this world. Jiang Zuo wasn’t going to deliberately slander them.
"How were you all sealed?" Jiang Zuo asked.
"I don’t know," the Jinling Loach answered.
"Back to my earlier question, why are you helping the Spiritual Control Sect?" Jiang Zuo asked.
That was his original question.
"Because we were told to. Back when we set out for the war, we were instructed," the Jinling Loach said.
Jiang Zuo said, "By whom?"
The Jinling Loach replied, "By Master, of course."
Jiang Zuo didn’t ask anything else. In other words, it was Qin Tian who had told them to help the Spiritual Control Sect back then.
As for the reason...
Who knew?
Still, the Spiritual Control Sect had taken in so many Spirit Beasts. A portion of them were likely survivors from the ancient era, just like the Yongxi and the Jinling Loach. This was indeed a good thing for the Spiritual Control Sect.
Although their strength had been greatly reduced due to the Seal, as long as they had enough time, returning to their peak wouldn’t be a problem.
As for the Jinling Loach, it was different. Because it was inherently weak, it recovered a bit faster.
After that, Jiang Zuo didn’t say much more. Since they were already here, he would naturally find a way to go up and take a look.
Besides, if he didn’t deal with that Spirit Beast, he couldn’t resolve the Spiritual Control Sect’s current situation.
He preferred to solve problems at their root and disliked dealing with "after-sales service."

By this time, Ximen Chuihuo had already reached the mountain peak.
However, he searched the Spirit Beasts’ hiding spot but found no Spirit Beasts there.
His expression soured.
Now, he could only hope that those Spirit Beasts were smart enough.
If they were caught, the Spirit Beasts would be fine, but he would be in big trouble.
Ximen Chuihuo, who was about to search around, suddenly froze. He took out the Eight Desolates Venerable All-Cutting and discovered that the Magical Treasure was acting strangely again.
He had initially set it up so that he would know whenever someone entered the mountain.
After all, it was an heirloom left by his ancestor, so having such a function was not unusual.
But he couldn’t understand its current activity.
He felt as if something was summoning him.
Ximen Chuihuo then looked towards the mountainside. He could feel that the thing summoning him was there.
He was just a little uncertain, unsure if it was a trap set for him by the people from the Spiritual Control Sect.
But after only a moment’s hesitation, he went anyway.
’I’ll always be curious. Besides, I’ll find out soon enough if it’s a death trap. Just sitting here worrying is torture.’
He just had to be prepared to get thrashed.
Soon, Ximen Chuihuo arrived at the mountainside, a place he had never been to before.
He was a little stunned by what he saw.
Here, there was a pile of stone statues. Most of these statues were of Spirit Beasts, and all of them were bowing in submission towards the center.
Puzzled, Ximen Chuihuo walked to the center and found the statue of a person.
His clothes were tattered, and he held a spherical Magical Treasure in his hand.
He had a smile on his face as he looked forward, as if he were gazing at a pile of delicious food.
Ximen Chuihuo was shocked. He didn’t recognize the person depicted by the statue, but his eyes were incredibly lifelike. And the object in his hand... wasn’t that the Eight Desolates Venerable All-Cutting?
And it was that very object that was resonating with the All-Things Cut in his own hand.
