My Wife Might Be a Saintess
Chapter 587 - 586: Until Death
Chapter 587: Chapter 586: Until Death
The instant the middle-aged man’s Primordial Spirit recovered, the Celestial Stele unleashed a powerful counterattack.
It forcefully broke free from Qin Tian’s control.
Then, a Space Gate appeared above the Celestial Book Tomb.
The Celestial Stele intended to use this Space Gate to escape.
The moment he saw the gate, Qin Tian’s expression turned grim.
’So, this passage can be exploited. I absolutely cannot let him leave.’
Qin Tian struck again. He appeared before the Space Gate in an instant, blocking the Celestial Stele’s path.
He then reached out to control the Celestial Stele.
However, the Celestial Stele resisted fiercely. It would still take some time to suppress it completely.
Qin Tian frowned.
’In terms of pure strength, defeating this person would have been easy.’
’But once someone reached this Realm, they had countless ways to save their own life.’
’I had just used the fastest method possible to kill him, yet the man had still managed to trigger a life-preserving Skill.’
’Killing him now would be even more time-consuming.’
’Especially with the help of this Celestial Stele, it would be incredibly difficult.’
Jiang Zuo frowned as he looked at the Space Gate.
’That isn’t a normal Space Gate, but a door leading to the Elemental Level.’
’The Elemental Level is a different kind of world. I had always assumed it was filled with nothing but Elements.’
’Now it seems that even if it is filled with Elements, it’s not as simple as I imagined.’
’The Elemental Level could possibly be used as a pathway.’
’Then again, even if my past self had known about this, I probably wouldn’t have tried it.’
’No passage could compare to just opening a Space Gate myself.’
’There was almost nowhere I wanted to go that I couldn’t open a gate to.’
’The only exceptions were unknown spaces I had never visited.’
At this point, Qin Tian had the middle-aged man under control.
He didn’t let the man say much.
This time, he didn’t plan to use a Seal. The man was the last one, after all; there would be plenty of time to wear him down and kill him later.
After dealing with the middle-aged man, Qin Tian turned his gaze to the Mage.
"Did you open that spatial passage?" Qin Tian asked.
The Mage didn’t dare to hide anything. "Yes."
He had witnessed Qin Tian’s power firsthand.
To be honest, he found it hard to believe. The man was simply too strong.
It just went to show, there was always someone stronger out there.
"How did you do it?" Qin Tian had also figured out that it was the Elemental Level, a place related to Magic.
He had never even heard of such a passage.
"The Elemental Level is a vast world. I discovered back in my own world that the realm of the Elemental Level is far, far larger than the world I came from."
"At that time, I spent a very long time exploring the Elemental World, and one day, I finally discovered its edge."
"At the edge of the world, I didn’t see darkness or chaos."
"Before my eyes, it was still the Elemental World, still filled with all kinds of Elements."
"But no matter how hard I tried, I could not cross that boundary."
"Only later did I learn that it was an invisible obstruction, a barrier between worlds," the Mage explained, providing the backstory.
But he was beating around the bush, so Qin Tian grew impatient. "I don’t have time for your rambling."
The Mage said, "When the Celestial Stele Divine War began, the world barriers vanished. However, the Elemental World transcends my own world."
"So I had a bold hypothesis."
"The world of the Elemental Level could connect all other worlds."
"I used my own Talent and paid a great price to break through the barrier between the Elemental Level and this world, and that is how I ultimately arrived here," the Mage said.
Qin Tian frowned and finally asked, "Can you repair it?"
The Mage nodded.
He then began to repair the Elemental Level passage.
And Jiang Zuo watched from the side.
’I’m actually quite impressed with this Mage. To think he actually traveled to another world through the Elemental Level.’
’Very ingenious.’
’But throughout all of history, very few people could have accomplished this.’
’At least, I’ve never met anyone who could.’
’After all, a Mage’s spatial teleportation is a pure Spatial Ability.’
’It has nothing to do with the Elemental Level. So, no one would think that the Elemental Level could actually be used for spatial travel.’
’Of course, this method is far more difficult, much less efficient, and completely unnecessary.’
’After all, it’s no easy feat for one’s physical body to remain in the Elemental Level for long.’
’Most people can’t even enter it in the first place.’
’Besides, who would go into the Elemental Level for no reason?’
A short while later, the Mage had repaired the passage.
All that remained was for them to be judged. Their lives were in Qin Tian’s hands.
Qin Tian looked at the Mage. "You want to stay and live in this world?"
The Mage nodded. "Please, Your Excellency, allow it."
Qin Tian didn’t refuse, only saying, "Prove your worth."
This Mage did not belong to the Human Race; Qin Tian had no obligation to let him stay.
Giving him a chance was already quite generous.
The Mage glanced back at his weakened wife and child, then knelt on one knee before Qin Tian. With a solemn expression, he declared, "I, Li Yue, the Elemental Master, am willing to be at Your Excellency’s command, until death."
After that, the image began to fade.
"This world is not safe. When they descend, danger could be anywhere." Jiang Zuo heard a voice from behind him.
He turned and saw it was the Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion.
Jiang Zuo looked at him, and the Lord was looking back in his direction.
However, this was just a recorded message left behind; it was impossible for the man to actually see Jiang Zuo.
So, Jiang Zuo said nothing.
The Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion then said, "The fact that you were able to come here and witness this is proof enough that you possess the ability to reach Entering Dao."
"I cannot say too much, nor do I dare to interfere. The only thing I can do is allow you to see a little more."
Jiang Zuo frowned. ’Did the Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion misunderstand something?’
’We don’t have Entering Dao Level abilities at all.’
’But it doesn’t matter. The difference isn’t that big anyway.’
’I’ll just deal with things as they come.’
At this moment, the Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion held out a hand, a ball of light resting in his palm.
Then, the light shot directly toward Jiang Zuo’s mark.
"This is the key to summoning the Immortal Nether Ship. Anyone who has formed a bond with it can summon it," said the Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion.
He said nothing more.
’But I know what this means,’ Jiang Zuo thought. ’He wants us to take a trip to the Netherworld River.’
’As for the Immortal Nether Ship, that’s obviously the same ship I was on last time.’
’And it seems the only one who has bonded with it is Su Qi.’
’Besides, I really do need to make a trip to the Netherworld River.’
’The Lord of the Immortal Spirit Mansion said there was information about Celestial Favor there. I have to go check it out.’
’The more I know, the better my position.’
After that, everything vanished.
’But at least now I know who that Mage was.’
’Li Yue. If I’m not mistaken, he must be the one known as the strongest Mage in history.’
’I’m surprised. I always thought the strongest Mage in history was from our world, but it turns out he was an outsider.’
’Qin Tian really had guts, daring to use a powerful expert from another world.’
’I still think that if Qin Tian hadn’t died, I would have very much liked to meet him.’
’There have never been many people I could truly admire.’
