My Wife Might Be a Saintess
Chapter 605 - 604: The Crack in the Sky
Chapter 605: Chapter 604: The Crack in the Sky
Lu Zhen felt his entire worldview being upended.
’His gut instinct told him this shouldn’t be possible.’
But Jiang Zuo had already asked him to teach, so he couldn’t object. After all, he only knew the theory.
His mother had told him the outside world was vast, filled with things he wouldn’t understand. He had to know when to ask for help.
So perhaps this was something that neither he nor even his mother could possibly know.
Soon, he began to focus on teaching the Elements.
Su Qi and Jiang Zuo, who were listening from the side, were stunned.
They couldn’t understand a word of it.
Su Qi looked toward Duan Qiao, hoping it could provide an answer.
Duan Qiao was breaking out in a cold sweat, because it couldn’t understand a thing either.
Finally, Duan Qiao had no choice but to say, "Mistress, I can’t understand it either. He’s likely speaking the Elemental Language. Only a High-Tier Mage can even begin to comprehend it."
Some Mages actually relied on Mind Sensing. Very few people truly understood the Elemental Language.
Just then, Lu Zhen said, "I’m speaking the Elemental Language. My mother taught me."
Jiang Zuo asked curiously, "Your mother didn’t teach you Magic?"
Lu Zhen said, "She did, but it was all just theory."
’A Cultivator who’s well-versed in theory and even understands the Elemental Language?’
Jiang Zuo had no idea what to make of it.
Su Qi, however, was worried. ’Will this really work?’
’Can someone who only knows theory really teach the Elements?’
’What if he teaches them wrong?’
’But it’s just about the Magical Treasure Mark, so it probably isn’t a huge issue.’
’The main problem is that my husband is lazy. Why can’t he just learn it himself? Why make the Elements learn it? Once you learn something, it’s yours forever.’
’If the Elements learn it, it will still belong to the Elements. He still won’t know how to do it himself.’
’He couldn’t possibly end up asking his own Elements for advice someday, could he?’
At the thought, Su Qi puffed out her cheeks, a look of reluctance on her face.
Seeing Su Qi like this, Jiang Zuo shook his head. He closed the Magic Book, tapped her lightly with it, and said, "Don’t overthink it. It’s not as dramatic as you’re making it out to be."
Su Qi turned her head away, not wanting to listen or speak.
’Because even if she said something, Jiang Zuo wouldn’t listen.’
’And in the end, she would definitely be won over by his twisted logic.’
’Then she’d just be the silly little wife who believes everything her husband says.’
’It’s better to just keep quiet from the start.’
After a short while, Lu Zhen spoke up. "Alright, I’m just not sure if they’ve learned it or not."
This time, Lu Zhen was speaking normally.
Jiang Zuo and Su Qi both turned to the Elements, waiting for them to show what they could do.
The Fire Elemental Minions then began to circle Jiang Zuo. They seemed to be observing him, or perhaps discussing something. Finally, the other Elements vanished, leaving only the Fire Elemental Minions behind.
Then, the number of Fire Elemental Minions began to multiply. They swirled around Jiang Zuo and abruptly burst into flames.
Jiang Zuo, along with his Magic Book, was completely engulfed by the Fire Elemental Minions.
If she hadn’t seen that Jiang Zuo was unharmed, Su Qi would have stepped in to drive away the Fire Elemental Minions.
’Anything that dared to harm her husband was forbidden from existing.’
However, this didn’t last long. After burning for a moment, the flames began to recede. Or rather, they were gathering toward the Magic Book.
The flames on Jiang Zuo’s body rapidly retreated into the Magic Book.
Soon, not a trace of fire remained on Jiang Zuo, but the Magic Book was now burning fiercely.
Next, Jiang Zuo and Su Qi saw the flames retreat once more, this time seemingly into some unknown place.
But the result of this retreat left Jiang Zuo and Su Qi a little surprised.
Because the Magic Book was gone.
That’s right. As the flames had dwindled, their size had become much smaller than the Magic Book, yet this time, they couldn’t see the book at all.
Amidst their astonishment, the flames vanished completely, and the Magic Book had also disappeared without a trace.
Su Qi looked at Jiang Zuo, waiting for an answer.
’She couldn’t see any mark on Jiang Zuo’s body. So, is this a Magical Treasure Mark?’
Meeting Su Qi’s gaze, Jiang Zuo said, "Don’t worry. Watch."
With a wave of his hand, a Magic Book appeared in his grasp.
Su Qi asked in astonishment, "It worked?
But how did that happen?"
Jiang Zuo had been quite surprised at first himself.
’He truly didn’t understand this little technique. He had thought that if the Magic Book vanished, he would just have to research a way to create one himself.’
’But what he would have come up with would only be something similar to a Magical Treasure Mark.’
’Something you just store on your body.’
But a Magic Mark was different. It wasn’t stored on one’s body, but on the Elemental Level.
Every individual has a fixed Elemental Domain. It’s their own personal territory, much like the place where Spiritual Qi resides within the body.
So, the mark is imprinted within this domain.
Su Qi was surprised, but then it made sense to her. "That’s true," she said. "Otherwise, it couldn’t be nourished if it were stored in the body. Magic and Cultivation really are quite different."
’The difference really is huge.’
Jiang Zuo thought so too.
Still, there was one benefit to putting the Magic Book on the Elemental Level: it was convenient for the Elemental Minions to study.
It was just impossible to use it while it was in there.
After confirming repeatedly that everything was fine, Su Qi finally breathed a sigh of relief.
’She was once again certain that her husband was a prodigy when it came to Magic.’
It wasn’t just Su Qi; even Lu Zhen was left dumbfounded.
’So that’s actually possible.’
He felt he had to go back and tell his mother about this. His mother was an expert on Elements, but she had never told him about this.
He wondered if the news would be shocking enough to bring his mother back from the dead.
Just then, the Tofu Boss came out, having finished cooking their food.
Su Qi took a sniff and asked happily, "Is this the same meat as last time?"
The Tofu Boss nodded. "Yes, but you’d better eat it sparingly. We’re about to run out."
Su Qi nodded in agreement, then asked, "Sir, do you have any rice?"
The Tofu Boss said expressionlessly, "No."
’Was she kidding? This was a tofu shop. Where was he supposed to get rice for her?’
"Oh, then I’ll go ask for a couple of bowls from next door."
With that, Su Qi ran off to the restaurant next door.
’There were plenty of eateries around here; it was impossible that none of them had rice.’
’Jiang Zuo was a little stunned. ’So you can just go ask next door? If I had known, I would have gone last night.’’
After Su Qi left, Jiang Zuo said to the Tofu Boss, "Could we get a soup, too?"
The Tofu Boss: "Clear broth?"
Jiang Zuo shook his head. "No, just a regular shredded pork and pickled mustard green soup will be fine."
The Tofu Boss replied expressionlessly, "We don’t have any pickled mustard greens."
’These people... do they really think this place is a full-service restaurant?’
Jiang Zuo stood up. "I’ll go ask for some from next door, too."
The Tofu Boss: "..."
Once Su Qi and Jiang Zuo had left, Sweet Potato flopped directly onto the table, utterly exhausted.
Then it went back to gnawing on its apple. ’I’d better eat this quickly, or there’ll be nothing left.’

「On an unnamed mountain peak.」
Two Xuanwu were coiled atop it, guarding this place day after day, year after year.
For countless years, this place had never changed.
But today, countless cracks suddenly appeared in the once-unchanging sky. A faint, dark light pulsed from within them.
Seeing this, the two Xuanwu immediately rose to their feet.
First, they were shocked. Then, their shock gave way to a silent sigh.
"Finally, the day has come," the male Xuanwu said. "The cracks have appeared, and they must be mended again. This time, it is my turn to go."
"We can wait a little longer," the female Xuanwu said. "Perhaps we can see if it’s possible to go back and check on those two little ones one last time."
