My Wife Might Be a Saintess
Chapter 673: You Just Believed Your Husband Like That?
“If you don’t find me, you’ll lose your wife.”
“And if you lose your wife, you’ll be single for the rest of your life. You’ll definitely never marry another woman.” Hearing Su Qi’s words over the phone, Jiang Zuo felt utterly helpless.
Then, he said, “Relax. I only have one wife, and I’m not going to lose her.”
Su Qi said, “Then I’ll head to a nearby island. If you see one, go to its highest point. I’ll definitely be there.
“If the highest point is dangerous, then go to the second-highest one.”
Jiang Zuo nodded in agreement. “Just don’t do anything reckless.”
Still, Su Qi was worried. “Are you sure you don’t need me to look for you?”
Jiang Zuo said softly, “I can find you. Besides, I have my Light and Shadow. My Defense is ridiculously high.”
‘Oh, that’s right,’ Su Qi thought. She’d completely forgotten. ‘In that case, my husband really will be much safer.’
That put her much more at ease.
After that, Su Qi nagged him endlessly, as if terrified he wouldn’t be able to find her.
But it was understandable. On the vast, open sea, there was no way to know how to find someone.
Finally, Su Qi reluctantly hung up the phone.
After hanging up, Su Qi called Jingyue.
To her surprise, the call actually went through.
Then, Su Qi heard Jingyue’s surprised voice. “Whoa, Little Griper, where are you getting a signal?”
They knew the moment they entered that there was no signal here.
Su Qi said, “I don’t know either, but it seems like everyone should have a signal now. By the way, Senior Sister, are you and the others okay?”
Jingyue replied, “I’m fine, but I don’t know about Qing Lian. Luckily, Soft Cloud is with her, or she’d be in danger.
“What about your husband? He’s not in trouble, is he?”
Su Qi, sitting on a chunk of ice, replied, “He’s fine. He told me to wait for him to come find me.”
Jingyue was stunned. “You what? And you believed him?
“How is he supposed to find you? It’s nothing but open water out here, with no way to tell direction.”
“My husband said he has Mind Sensing and knows where I am,” Su Qi said.
Jingyue was completely baffled. “And you believed that?”
Su Qi nodded earnestly. “Mhm.”
‘Jingyue was at a loss for words. Mind Sensing existed, sure, but could it be used like a GPS?’
‘Give me a break. Could it be any more far-fetched?’
‘Then again, with that guy’s insane luck, who knew? Maybe he really could find her.’
Jingyue didn’t press the issue. After all, Su Qi had been placated; otherwise, she wouldn’t have been in any mood to make a call.
“Then find a safe place and wait,” Jingyue said.
Su Qi then told Jingyue about her plan involving the island and where she would likely be.
She told her to look for her if she saw an island.
Jingyue hung up and then called Qing Lian.
Fortunately, Qing Lian had already made it to an island and wasn’t in any danger.
Jingyue instructed, “Qing Lian, remember, your safety is the most important thing. Don’t try to save everyone and everything you see.
“And don’t try to rescue dangerous things. You have to protect yourself, at the very least.
“Also, this place isn’t like the Holy Land. There are many dangerous people, and even more with malicious intentions. Don’t let yourself be fooled, and don’t trust others so easily.”
Qing Lian smilingly agreed to everything.
Jingyue sighed. ‘I’m still so worried about her.’
Finally, she added, “Qing Lian, you know the saying about good intentions leading to bad outcomes. Sometimes, saving someone is actually harming them. Remember, this is a complex issue, and for you, it’s practically a paradox. There’s no need to overthink it, understand?”
Qing Lian nodded. “Mhm, I’ll remember your words, Holy Sister.”
Then they hung up.
‘She probably won’t run into anything too dangerous, right? I have a bad feeling.’ Jingyue was still worried about Qing Lian.
Jingyue shook her head. ‘This is no time for my imagination to run wild.’
In comparison, Jingyue wasn’t that worried about Su Qi. As long as Su Qi was calm, she had no problem protecting herself.
The one who worried her most was still Qing Lian.
As for Jiang Zuo, Jingyue wasn’t concerned.
‘That guy’s luck is surely good enough.’
「 On a certain island. 」
Liuyue Xue stared at the giant egg before her, a confused expression on her face.
‘What kind of Spirit Beast could lay an egg this big?’
Just how big was this egg?
Even if ten Liuyue Xues and ten Mo Yans joined hands, they probably couldn’t even encircle it.
If they weren’t looking down at it from above, they would have mistaken it for an egg-shaped boulder, just a particularly smooth one.
Mo Yan said, “You don’t think this is just a rock, do you? And not an egg at all?”
Liuyue Xue shook her head. She was sure it was an egg. She had just knocked on it twice, and it didn’t sound like stone.
Mo Yan didn’t think much of it. Instead, she took out her phone, planning to take a picture to ask Boss Po Xiao about it when she got back.
He would probably know the answer.
But the moment she aimed her phone, she froze.
Then she cried out, “Liuyue Xue, check me! Am I trapped in a Nightmare?”
Liuyue Xue looked at Mo Yan, not quite understanding what she meant.
‘Mo Yan herself has a Nightmare Specialization. What is she talking about, being trapped in a Nightmare?’
‘It’s basically impossible.’
Then Mo Yan said, “Well, come over here and look. Tell me if my phone has a signal.”
Startled, Liuyue Xue didn’t go over. Instead, she immediately pulled out her own phone.
One look, and sure enough, she had a signal.
Then her phone started lighting up with a flood of messages.
Many of them were from her senior sister.
The content was more or less the same: the Secret Realm was dangerous, and they should retreat immediately.
Liuyue Xue showed the messages to Mo Yan.
Mo Yan’s face immediately lit up.
“Yes! There’s a signal! Boss Po Xiao must be here.”
Liuyue Xue paused for a moment, then realized it was a real possibility.
‘How else could there suddenly be a signal here? Besides, the same thing had happened in the Celestial Star Cave Mansion.’
Mo Yan said, “I’ll try contacting Boss Po Xiao first.”
After pinging him for a long time, Mo Yan realized it was useless.
[Perception No. 1 Group Chat]
Liuyue Xue: “Stop pinging him. Even if Fellow Daoist Po Xiao is really in here, he might not have time for you.”
Fairy Mo Yan: “Then what do we do? Are we going to be stuck here and die alone?
“Two women can’t have kids, you know. Otherwise, we could wait for your grandkids or great-grandkids to make contact with the outside world. They could burn some paper offerings to let your spirit know.”
Liuyue Xue: “Can you please not say everything out loud as you type it?”
Fairy Mo Yan: “Are you telling me you don’t read things in your head while you type?”
Liuyue Xue: “…”
Then Mo Yan jumped up, snapped a picture of the egg, and posted it in the group.
Fairy Mo Yan: “Liuyue Xue, let’s hatch it. When the time comes, it can give you a proper funeral and burn offerings for you.”
Liuyue Xue: “[Icy Glare] Why does it have to be me who dies and not you?”
Fairy Mo Yan: “If I die, who’s going to raise it?”
Po Xiao: “I have a Secret Technique for changing one’s sex. You want it?”
Fairy Mo Yan: “…”
Liuyue Xue: “…”
‘Why did Po Xiao suddenly show up?’
At that moment, Liuyue Xue looked at Mo Yan, her gaze seeming to ask, ‘Are you going to get a sex change?’
Mo Yan: “…”
Just then, Jiang Zuo was hovering high in the sky, having just checked the group chat. What surprised him, however, wasn’t that Liuyue Xue and her companion were here.
It was that the egg was here.
That was no ordinary egg. Once it hatched, it would shake the heavens and the earth.
The moment it emerged, it would likely be besieged and killed.
Jiang Zuo had passed by in his previous life and had happened to see it.
Since it hadn’t bothered him, he naturally hadn’t paid it much mind.
After all, he had been hunting Jiu Xi at the time.
This was a Dragon Egg. Waiting to hatch inside was a Dragon called the Longevity Dragon.
According to what Jiang Zuo later learned, the Longevity Dragon was transformed from a drop of the Dragon’s heart’s blood.
In simple terms, it was brothers with the Saint Dragon Ancestor.
It was both a part of the Dragon and its offspring.
