"Wind Burst Arrow."

She released. The arrow pierced through the circular rune, and it felt as if it had been given some buff, glowing with green light as it burst through the air with insane speed. The wind itself seemed to bend to the arrow’s will, propelling it forward like a bolt of concentrated air.

Kante’s instincts screamed for danger. He knew he couldn’t hide some of his strength any longer, or he would lose.

Dark Originat exploded from his body, thick and suffocating. The vines around him withered and crumbled under the oppressive force of his Originat. He freed himself in an instant, his saber already raised.

But with the insane speed the arrow was coming with, there was no way to attack back with a skill. The best way was to defend.

His dark Originat, which was overflowing, gathered towards the saber as he placed it before him, using it to parry as he defended against the attack.

The arrow struck his saber with tremendous force.

Kante’s arms screamed in protest as the impact drove him back. His boots scraped against the arena floor, leaving deep grooves in the stone. The force of the arrow was far greater than he had anticipated, Lexa had poured everything into this attack.

He gritted his teeth, his muscles straining as he struggled to hold his ground. But the arrow kept pushing him back, relentless and unyielding. He was being forced toward the edge of the arena.

Another step back. Then another.

His heel touched the boundary line. One more push and he would be out.

I can’t let this happen.

With a surge of will, he shifted his stance, angling his saber upward. The arrow, caught in the new trajectory, began to rise. It was a slow, grueling process, the arrow resisted, pushing downward with immense pressure. Sweat dripped down his face as he fought against it.

But slowly, millimeter by millimeter, the arrow began to climb.

With a final burst of effort, Kante twisted his saber, deflecting the arrow upward. It shot into the air above him, the arrow moving with insane speed towards the coliseum roof.

Kante expected that this would be the end. But there was no sound of explosion or clash. Only for him to look up, the wind arrow had paused in the air. Its tip had turned clockwise, now aiming at him once again.

He immediately became vigilant, not knowing what Lexa was planning.

It’s better to destroy the arrow before it moves and attacks me.

He channeled Originat into his armament, preparing to strike.

But the arrow moved first.

It split.

The single wind arrow fragmented into dozens of smaller arrows, each one gleaming with condensed wind energy. They hovered in the air for a moment, like a swarm of angry bees, all aimed directly at him.

Then they descended.

Kante’s eyes widened. He raised his saber, dark Originat flaring around him.

A circular dark rune pulsating with dark Originat appeared before him as it rotated, a dark shield forming above the circular rune as it protected him.

"Dark Shield!"

The small arrows clashed with the shield, unable to pierce through its dense darkness. Each impact sent ripples across the shield’s surface, but it held firm.

The dark shield consumed a significant amount of his Originat. Kante immediately decided to strike decisively, conserving the rest of his energy for one powerful attack.

Seeing that the arrows had been stopped, he moved. His figure disappeared into darkness.

He reappeared beside Lexa, his saber looking like a plain armament, all dark Originat had been converged within the blade, making it dense, sharp, and deadly.

"Eclipsing Blade."

Kante swung his saber in a wide arc, releasing a wave of darkness that expanded outward, hammering toward Lexa. The attack was fast, wide, and dangerous. It covered a large area, leaving little room for escape.

Lexa sensed the attack, even with the close distance. Her instincts screamed. But instead of retreating, she held her string. Her Originat gathered, and everyone watched as two arrows formed on her bow simultaneously.

She released them.

Arrow Qi.

The arrows shot forward, glowing with condensed energy, meeting Kante’s wave of darkness head-on. The impact sent a shockwave rippling through the arena, kicking up dust and debris.

This gave her time. She moved, her body flowing like light, appearing on the other side of the arena.

Kante seemed to have expected it. As soon as she reappeared, he was beside her again, his figure materializing from the shadows.

He too emitted saber qi, making him look even more eerie. His presence was suffocating, his eyes cold and focused.

Kante struck again, releasing another wave of Eclipsing Blade.

Lexa’s expression tightened this time. A flicker of surprise crossed her face. She hadn’t expected Kante to track her movement so easily. Her bow was already raised, but the attack was too fast, too wide.

She leaped back, her body twisting in mid-air, barely avoiding the wave of darkness. The edge of the attack grazed her uniform, tearing a small piece of fabric.

And as she twisted her body, she released three arrows that struck toward Kante with quick, insane speed.

Kante’s eyes narrowed. He knew he couldn’t dodge them, Lexa controlled their trajectory mid-flight. They would curve and follow him no matter where he moved. Dodging was useless.

He had to destroy them.

Dark Originat surged around his saber as he raised it high. A circular rune of shadow appeared before him, spinning rapidly, pulsing with dark energy.

"Dark Slash."

He swung. A crescent wave of condensed darkness shot forward, meeting the three arrows mid-flight. The attack tore through the first arrow, then the second, shattering them into particles of light and wind. The third arrow, however, curved at the last moment, slipping past the wave.

Kante twisted, his saber coming up to deflect the remaining arrow. The blade caught the projectile, redirecting it upward where it exploded harmlessly against the arena’s barrier.

He straightened, his breathing controlled, his eyes fixed on Lexa. His Originat was depleting, which signified he had to end this battle.
