Myriad Dragon Divine Sovereign
Chapter 659 Seeing Feitian Again
As if remembering something, Huangfu Tian said, "Oh, right. There’s one more thing. The Ninth Trading House sent an invitation to our Taiyi Pavilion. Apparently, they’re holding the grandest auction in the entire Eastern Profound Domain in the Great Zhou Imperial City half a month from now. Senior Brother Hai Ning, please go in my place."
"Alright. You can rest assured," Hai Ning said with a nod.
Hearing Huangfu Tian’s words, Guu Hongxiu’s thoughts stirred. ’If the Taiyi Pavilion received an invitation, then the other powers must have as well. The Ninth Trading House probably saw all these factions gathering and decided to seize the opportunity to host this auction. Their ambition is certainly not small.’
Huangfu Tian tilted his head back and laughed. "With you here, Senior Brother, I can naturally put my mind at ease about everything."
The surrounding members of the Taiyi Pavilion all smiled faintly. With the name of the Taiyi Pavilion behind them, they were certain Pan Zhongyi wouldn’t dare to show them any disrespect.
A remote city on the fringes of the Dayan Dynasty.
At the entrance to a small village, a withered old tree stood tall, its gnarled roots crisscrossing the ground. The slowly setting sun cast a desolate, lonely pall over the scene.
Wen Qingye and Yue Mingzhu stood at the village entrance.
Wen Qingye looked at Yue Mingzhu and said, "I’m leaving Tu Bai and Sima Feng in your care."
Yue Mingzhu nodded and said casually, "Don’t worry. You’ve already healed most of their injuries. I think they’ll be fully recovered in about half a month."
Wen Qingye’s brow smoothed. "Yes, they should recover quickly. Just stay behind and look after them."
As if she had thought of something, Yue Mingzhu looked up and asked, "When the time comes, should the two of them come with me to the Great Zhou Imperial Dynasty to find you?"
Wen Qingye pondered for a moment before saying, "If they want to go, then let them come with you."
"Alright, I understand," Yue Mingzhu said with a nod.
Wen Qingye gazed at the old tree and said in a low voice, "I heard people from your Sword Sect have also arrived in the Great Zhou Imperial Dynasty. The one who came this time is your sect’s Qiushui Tracefree Sword."
"Qiushui?"
A hint of delight surfaced on Yue Mingzhu’s face when she heard Wen Qingye’s words.
Wen Qingye saw the joy on her face and couldn’t help but smile. He turned and walked away, gradually disappearing over the horizon.
「Seven days later.」
Near the Liuli Dynasty, a colossal figure slowly emerged from the clouds. It was the Cold Ice Flood Dragon. Wen Qingye stood atop its head, gazing down at the world below.
Suddenly, he spotted Xuwang Mountain, and an idea came to him.
Wen Qingye pointed ahead. "It’s thirty li ahead. Fly down now."
"Yes, I understand." The Cold Ice Flood Dragon jerked into motion, its body swerving as it dove rapidly downward. In the time it takes for half an incense stick to burn, its massive form landed directly on the summit of Xuwang Mountain.
Wen Qingye had just landed on the summit of Xuwang Mountain and was surveying the scenery.
The very next moment, an extremely sinister, cold aura began to surge. This cold was completely different from the chill that radiated from the Cold Ice Flood Dragon.
"HAHAHAHA! Hidden Dragon, long time no see!"
A crisp laugh rang out from the distance.
A large, burly figure landed on the ground. The man’s face was extremely pale and somewhat stiff, but his eyes held a hint of a smile. It was Feitian.
Feitian’s current aura was much stronger than before, and he was wearing a different set of clothes.
Wen Qingye was startled as he looked at Feitian.
"Your cultivation broke through again?"
Feitian nodded. "Yes. I found an opportunity from my past life here, and with the Magic Technique you gave me, my cultivation managed another small breakthrough."
Feitian then turned to the Cold Ice Flood Dragon. He was surprised, but his expression remained somewhat stiff. "I never thought the Little Python from back then would now become a true Flood Dragon."
Hearing Feitian’s praise, the Cold Ice Flood Dragon was immensely proud and couldn’t help but lift its head high.
"Hidden Dragon, come. I’ll take you to see the place where I live," Feitian said.
Wen Qingye nodded, a slight smile playing on his lips. "Alright. I was just thinking the same thing."
With that, Feitian led Wen Qingye toward the side of Xuwang Mountain.
Before long, the man and the corpse arrived in a hidden part of the jungle. The woods were exceedingly gloomy and had an eerie quality, teeming with venomous insects. Most people would give it a wide berth and would never dare to venture deeper.
Feitian pointed at the strange jungle ahead. "It’s in there. Let’s go."
Saying this, he led the way inside. The moment he stepped in, a sinister aura spread out from him, and the surrounding venomous insects and beasts seemed to instantly panic and scatter.
Wen Qingye followed behind Feitian, walking deeper into the woods.
After passing through the gloomy, dense forest, they came upon a massive, pitch-black rock face. A dark, hidden cave entrance came into view.
Feitian pointed to the cave ahead and said with a smile, "This is the place."
Even before stepping inside, Wen Qingye could feel the air grow heavy and damp, and a strange smell hung at the cave’s entrance.
When he walked inside, he found the cave was extremely dark and the furnishings spartan. There was only a huge stone block that served as a bed, with some clothes and bedding on it.
The only other decent object in the cave was a wooden table, but its surface was bare, adding to the cold, cheerless atmosphere.
It looked like Feitian had put some thought into arranging the place.
"What do you think?" Feitian asked, looking at Wen Qingye and forcing a smile onto his stiff lips.
"Not bad," Wen Qingye replied, his lips curving into a small smile.
Feitian was overjoyed to hear Wen Qingye’s praise. He pointed to the stone block and said, "Have a seat over there."
Wen Qingye said nothing and sat down without hesitation.
Once Wen Qingye was seated, Feitian continued, "My disposition has mostly stabilized now. Barring any accidents, I don’t think there will be any unexpected changes anytime soon. If there’s anything you need my help with, just ask."
Wen Qingye didn’t reply. Instead, he took out the Buddha Beads he had gotten from the Ring Spirit and handed them to Feitian.
The moment the Buddha Beads emerged from the Sumeru Ring, Feitian’s body trembled violently, and he stared, transfixed, at the beads in Wen Qingye’s hand.
Wen Qingye smiled. "These are for you. I believe they’ll be a great help in suppressing the evil nature inside you."
"For me?" Feitian’s expression was a little strange, a look of disbelief on his face.
