Mythical Three Kingdoms

Chapter 2455 Stirring Up Trouble Everywhere

  • Next Chapter

“Once we conquered this place, now that they stand against us, I need to make them understand who truly is the master of this country!” Fuward said emphatically, with many of the legion leaders from the Central Asian Region nodding in agreement.

At the moment the Imperial Scepter stood opposing them, almost all the legion leaders could no longer contain their inner rage. This country was no longer theirs; those bastards from South Asia should wait, until we rally our forces and let them feel the terror from the past once again.

It was their ancestors who led their soldiers and conquered South Asia, expanding Kushan’s territory to the Ganges River, giving them the capital to sit and view the world’s changes with indifference, yet now they are provoked by South Asian trash. It’s time to show those South Asian guys who truly is the master of this country; South Asia is merely their appendage!

“No, I actually believe we need to remain calm.” The young man, newly appointed as Archbishop of Zoroastrianism, slowly spoke, causing all the assembled Central Asian legion leaders to turn their heads towards this young archbishop who poured cold water on them in their anger.

Some looked with hostility, others with anticipation, and some with reverence, each varied, but the new Archbishop of Zoroastrianism, despite being appointed only a few months ago, had exhibited enough wisdom for his suggestions to be considered by many legion leaders.

“Archbishop Achara, do you mean to suggest that we abandon?” Zasali slowly opened his mouth, having had some contact with the archbishop he felt a certain apprehension.

“It is not about abandoning, but rather we should calm down and reflect; our strength indeed surpasses theirs. Even if the Imperial Scepter stands against us, we can defeat them, but is it necessary to go to such lengths?” Achara slowly began speaking, his Kushan language somewhat convoluted, as if he hadn’t interacted with people for many years.

Gachakri, royalty of the Great Yuezhi, leaned back and a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. He was the strongest among them, being a part of the royal clan of the Great Yuezhi, with deep-seated connections to the current Kushan Royal Family.

Therefore, to the Royal Clan of Great Yuezhi, even if conflict arises between South Asia and Central Asia, they might lean towards Central Asia but would also seek mediation, as this is their Great Yuezhi nation.

Even though they’ve dwelled in Central Asia for many years, having varied relationships with nearly all the legion leaders there, their cavalry remains one of the strongest forces in Central Asia. While they have always stood behind Central Asia to support the Central Asian nobility, it does not mean they would blindly support Central Asian forces if it risks national division.

After all, regardless of how deep their ties with Central Asian forces go, they are still the owners of this country; the internal conflict between Central and South Asia is seen merely as a dispute between the main house and the secondary house, especially if the main house plans to drag them into division or drain their strength to destroy the secondary.

Before clarifying the situation, the Royal Clan of Great Yuezhi might board the Central Asian nobility’s pirate ship, but once they understood their position, the Royal Clan of Great Yuezhi had privately decided to notify Vasu Deva to jointly extinguish this war.

Therefore, when Achara proposed this, Gachakri felt satisfied but showed no major emotional shift on his face, silently planning to advance the second plan with his brothers, reciprocating the favor.

“We have no need to destroy our empire.” Achara spoke with a certain sense of loss, causing all legion leaders to darken their eyes at these words and then grow more furious.

“Honorable one, you are one of the few sages among us, you should understand our thoughts. We conquered India, but our empire betrayed us, and the Scepter symbolizing the empire’s power stands against us.” Gachakri said solemnly, naturally standing united with his Central Asian brethren.

The cavalry of the Great Yuezhi, considered Kushan’s earliest dual talents, differ from dual talent elites inherited from other kingdoms; this troop symbolizes the former Great Yuezhi of Kushan, so it has always been commanded by descendants with royal blood, reminding the nation never to forget the past.

This legion was essentially the country’s emblem before the Military Spirit Legion of Kushan was born, and even after the Imperial Scepter emerged, the Great Yuezhi cavalry remained the nation’s symbol. This is why Central Asian legion leaders rarely considered Kushan to have transformed in the past.

Because grace still existed, the symbol of the nation, the represented past of the Great Yuezhi cavalry still mingled with them, but this time, even the Imperial Scepter confronted the Great Yuezhi cavalry.

Now, Gachakri’s words warmed the hearts of all Central Asian legion leaders; at least the Great Yuezhi cavalry we once followed, alongside the Royal Clan of Great Yuezhi who have not forsaken us. Surely the problem lies with those South Asian folks, as for the Imperial Scepter, it is likely tainted by those bastards.

“But this cannot be our reason to destroy our empire. South Asia is our granary, our empire’s lifeline. Although we boast significant strength, the existence of South Asia is the reason we get sustenance to fight.” Archbishop Achara slowly stated.

Upon hearing this, all the legion leaders silently nodded; indeed, compared to Central Asia, South Asia, whether the Indus River Basin or the Ganges Basin, or the entirety of India, is an excellent grain-producing land, and it is by gaining this region that they have the capital to be called an empire.

“Even if this country has many errors, we should not break the current balance in a moment of anger. What we need is a nation, not ruins. For the sake of the Empire, I urge everyone to be patient,” Archbishop Achara spoke somewhat despondently. It was clear that even though Achara was advising them, the rational analysis could not suppress his own emotions.

Archbishop Achara, like them, harbored anger towards the South Asian riffraff, but for the sake of Kushan, he was willing to suppress his inner fury.

In fact, by now, most of the legion leaders had calmed down. They were initially stirred up, truly becoming angry only when they saw the Imperial Scepter on the opposite side.

However, now on one hand, they were consoled by a fellow Sage who shared their woes, and on the other hand, the Imperial Clan had not abandoned them. They were willing to follow the other’s line of thought in consideration.

“Are we just going to let that bunch of South Asian bastards confront us like this?” Of course, even at this point, someone still not understanding jumped out, yet such people were exactly whom Archbishop Achara needed. His constant mix of cajoling and reprimanding was for what he was about to say.

“We need to take a step back, give His Majesty a way out,” Achara slowly spoke, glancing downward at the legion leaders. Sure enough, many were indifferent, while the rest had eyes burning with anger. Achara’s words essentially set a bottom line.

“Why should we retreat when it’s clearly their mistake!” Barak angrily stood up and said, “We’re obviously stronger than them.”

“Because we need to be responsible for this country. I urge everyone to restrain your respective anger, for the sake of this nation,” Achara kindly consoled.

“Archbishop, you are wiser than us, but precisely because you are wiser, you should better understand our current anger,” Barak stood up and slammed his fist onto the stone table.

“I know many of you cannot disperse your anger, but please remember today. We stepped back for the sake of this country, not because we fear our South Asian opponents, but for this country,” Achara said calmly.

“What if South Asia remains aggressive afterwards?” a legion leader asked.

“Then I ask you to put aside your disputes and bring your own arms, so that together, we can reconquer South Asia for this country,” Achara replied with cold eyes. Upon hearing this, all the legion leaders, whether angry or previously silent, nodded quietly.

Even Gachakri, a descendant of the Yuezhi Royal Family, nodded silently. Indeed, if they’ve gone this far, and South Asia remains ungrateful, it is only natural for them to lay aside their disputes and work together to obliterate South Asia!

With the unanimous decision of all the legion leaders from Central Asian powers, the Dual Talent Legions from the Central Asian Region all issued restraint orders, alleviating the previously tense atmosphere. Archbishop Achara began extending goodwill towards the Imperial Family.

“Lord, why aren’t we directly going to war given this perfect opportunity?” As Achara rode on the White Elephant towards Peshawar, a Chen Family descendant disguised as a servant transmitted a voice question to him, indicating how perfect the timing was.

“Don’t speak. Just handle your tasks well,” Chen Zhong transmitted back to his cousin. “It’s not safe right now.”

The so-called Chief Archbishop of Zoroastrianism was replaced about three months ago by Chen Zhong, a son from Old Chen’s family, and from then, Chen Zhong started stirring things up variously.

Of course, the Xun Family and Sima Family also infiltrated using their own methods. The Xun Family caused a stir all over the Western Regions, relying on forged documents and ancient artifacts, and have now become a branch of the Royal Clan of Great Yuezhi who relocated from the Onion Ridge.

Even with documents and artifacts, it wasn’t easy for the Xun Family to be acknowledged so quickly by the Royal Clan of Great Yuezhi in Central Asia. However, there weren’t many of them, they spent a lot of money, and they were famously clever.

Thus, it wasn’t long before descendants of the Great Yuezhi Royal Family regarded the Xun Family as one of their own, even allocating them a pasture, more than two thousand South Asian servants, and three hundred cavalrymen. Given today’s situation, the Xun Family might already be influencing the Yuezhi Royal Family’s decisions.

As for the Sima Family, even the Chen Family doesn’t know where they have gone, but based on the Sima Family’s habits, they are likely trying to tread on two paths, having extended some tentacle into South Asia.
