Chapter 757: NASM - 757

"I really didn’t expect this mission to be so easy. I took down that Black Tortoise without even breaking a sweat. This one was actually kind of funny—completely different from the ones I had before! Maybe it’s just because it’s been so long since the System gave me a task," Hiroshi said softly with a smile as he walked out of the cave.

"The reason this mission was so simple was entirely because the Black Tortoise was already preparing for hibernation. Since summer is almost over, this creature enters hibernation much earlier than other animals. So your success this time was purely a stroke of luck."

Hearing the System’s voice, Hiroshi understood immediately. So it was just luck. If that tortoise hadn’t gone into hibernation so early, the task would have been far more difficult, unimaginably so.

"Still, it turned out well. I got it done in no time. But I really wonder what the reward is this time. I’ll take a good look later when we’re back at our place, with nothing else to do. Maybe it’ll be something amazing that surprises me—hope so!" Hiroshi said softly, smiling.

"Now I can finally relax and enjoy the rest of the day. Mission accomplished. From now on, I’ll just look around, see what there is to do and buy here. Harumiko is probably already having fun somewhere around here by now!" Hiroshi said cheerfully as he made his way back toward the shore of the Lake of Mirrors.

Harumiko had already been trying out all the games and stalls set up around the lake. It was all very interesting—especially since many things looked exactly like the festival activities held during the New Year celebrations back in Konoha.

"I never imagined this place could be this lively every single day. It’s so different from our village! Here, every child gets to play and have fun just like it’s New Year every day!" Harumiko said happily, looking around at all the stalls and crowds.

Hiroshi also reached the busy area around the lake. Seeing so many things that were only available during festivals back home made him incredibly excited. It had been a long time since he had enjoyed such things, and they all looked so fun.

"Wow, I didn’t realise there were so many fun things here! Looks like I’m going to have a great time today," Hiroshi murmured with a grin.

Just then, he noticed another stall: a game where you had to pop balloons. Hit a certain number, and you’d win a prize.

"It’s really similar to the balloon games I used to see in my old world. It’s quite unique to find it here, though. And the prizes look really good quality—not like the cheap, worthless stuff they used to give away back there. If they did that here, the owners would go broke instantly!" Hiroshi thought to himself as he watched a few children taking their turns.

He walked closer to the stall. His hands were itching to join in—it had been ages since he’d played something like this.

"Interesting... here they use shuriken to pop the balloons. It’s a bit odd, but makes sense, since they don’t have things like darts or toy guns here."

"In my old world, they used darts or toy guns. But if I use shuriken to hit these balloons... I could probably clear the whole board and take every single toy this guy has," Hiroshi thought confidently, smiling to himself.

He checked the price list—it was very reasonable. And seeing the quality and quantity of prizes available, it was actually a great deal. Nothing here looked cheap or poorly made.

"Alright, I’ll wait for these two kids to finish, then I’ll have a go. And I’ll definitely win a nice gift to give Harumiko," Hiroshi decided, watching the children play.

The rules were simple: pay a small fee, get a set number of shuriken, and pop a certain number of balloons to win the corresponding prize.

Soon enough, the two boys threw all their shuriken, but unfortunately, they didn’t manage to burst very many balloons at all.

"Looks like kids these days still need a lot more practice! Now it’s my turn. I’m going to make the owner’s jaw drop. And I’ve already picked out my prize—a cute little pink rabbit plushie. It’s not the biggest one, but I just know it’s exactly the kind of thing Harumiko loves," Hiroshi said softly with a confident smile.
