"Alright, it’s getting late. Let’s set off early. The weather is perfect today, so we should cover as much ground as we can — who knows if it will change tomorrow," Hiroshi said, standing up slowly and glancing toward the horizon with a smile.

Harumiko nodded in agreement. She felt fully rested now, so she walked over to their supplies and began packing everything up.

"I’ll get all this organised, and then we can leave. Let’s hurry and finish packing," she said while sorting their gear.

Hiroshi nodded and went over to help her. They had quite a lot of belongings, but every single item was useful for the journey.

"It’s funny how much we’ve brought along — but every bit of it comes in handy. Still, I’m sure we’ll have eaten all our supplies before we reach home," Hiroshi said as he packed.

Harumiko smiled and nodded. "You’re right. We’ll finish everything off before we get there. It looks like a lot, but we’ll be using a lot of energy over the next few days, so it won’t last us long at all."

Hiroshi nodded and worked quickly to get everything ready.

"Done! We’re all packed and ready to go. Carrying this load will be tiring at first, but it will get lighter as we go — since we’ll be eating our way through it," he said, slinging his pack onto his back.

Harumiko nodded happily, shouldered her own pack, and followed him as they set off at a steady run.

"Back on the road again! It feels a little strange to be moving once more, but in a good way. And I know we’ll travel far today — we slept so well last night, I feel full of energy and could keep going forever!" she said cheerfully as they moved forward.

Hiroshi nodded. "I feel exactly the same — completely refreshed and strong. Let’s just keep this pace up and we’ll be home before we know it. And let’s hope we don’t run into any enemies along the way."

"It’s not that I’m afraid I can’t beat them — it’s just that fighting wastes time. Every delay pushes our arrival back even further," he added after a short pause.

Harumiko nodded in understanding. "I know. That’s exactly what I was thinking. Let’s hope we meet no one at all. Even if we win, dealing with them takes time we can’t afford to lose."

They travelled side by side, talking as they went. Time flew by, and neither of them felt tired — in fact, they were both in excellent spirits and enjoying the journey.

"Time really flies, doesn’t it? We’ve been going for less than two hours, yet look how far we’ve come. Our speed has definitely picked up," Hiroshi said with a grin.

Harumiko laughed. "True! And I swear our packs feel lighter already — probably because we had that good meal this morning! Haha!"
