The group soon presented themselves before the Kazekage, while he stared at each of them. Kankurō was positioned at his side, staring at the Konoha ninjas and wondering what they were doing there, but, just like Gaara, he also recognized Naruto, even though he looked quite different from what he was used to seeing.

"Naruto?" Kankurō couldn’t contain himself as he took a better look at him. Even Gaara was still looking at Naruto with a surprised gaze full of questions.

Basically, that was the first word spoken when the group met. Naruto simply smiled. "Gaara, Kankurō, it’s been a while. How have you been?" he said in his casual tone.

"We’re fine. It’s just... what happened to your hair and your appearance? You’re even taller. Can someone really grow that much in just a few months?" Kankurō asked, while Naruto maintained his smile.

"Some things happened." Thinking about it, he looked at Gaara, who continued staring at him. "We even look like brothers now... Just look at our hair, I look even more like you than your own brother," Naruto said, laughing at his own joke as he dodged a punch from Sakura, who couldn’t stand listening to him, making everyone find the exchange somewhat awkward.

But Naruto was never hit, making an effortless movement that surprised even the two members of Sunagakure in front of them, given how easily Naruto dodged that woman’s blow, since they remembered very well seeing her hit him a few times.

"Anyway, we’re here on a mission. We have a lot to talk about." Naruto quickly returned to a more serious tone, while Kankurō looked at Gaara, who still had his eyes on Naruto, until he nodded.

"All right, Naruto. If you want to talk, then we’ll talk," Gaara said without any hesitation. Even though Naruto looked different there, he was still Naruto, right? There was no reason for Gaara to doubt him. Everyone seemed quite comfortable around the boy, and Naruto basically had the same personality, but he seemed to possess a more mature and certainly more powerful aura... Whatever had happened to him seemed to have been something quite positive. They would certainly have a lot to talk about later, as Gaara wished.

"I think we’ll have to take up some of your time for a long conversation. Can we settle in the Village until you’re free, given our sudden arrival?" Jiraiya was the one who spoke.

"Of course. You can stay at one of our inns and you don’t even need to pay. The Village will cover everything. After all, we’re allies," Gaara said, looking at the scroll he had received and that was now on his desk. As soon as they arrived, the ninja who had escorted them had personally handed him the document, saying that it concerned a diplomatic mission regarding the alliance between the two Villages. It certainly seemed quite serious, and they had to renegotiate the alliance they already had in some way. Perhaps it was about the Akatsuki, and it should be a private conversation.

Anyway, they left the Kazekage’s building, deciding that they would talk that night after Gaara finished his responsibilities.

"What do you think it is?" Kankurō asked.

"I don’t know," Gaara said, looking at the backs of the ninjas as they walked away through the streets, especially at the red-haired young man. "He’s a little different," he finally murmured.

"Yeah. Whatever this reassessment of our alliance is about, Gaara, it seems to have something to do with that Naruto," Kankurō said, while Gaara nodded.

It was at night that the group finally went to meet with the Kazekage and his two siblings. And on Naruto’s side, it obviously wasn’t the entire group. Hinata, Kiba, and Shino were still unaware of the information about the future, but even Sakura and Sai were left out, with Yamato staying behind to look after them at the inn, while only Naruto, Kakashi, and Jiraiya went to meet with the three siblings at the Kazekage’s own residence, where they gathered in a private room.

"Is it all right if I create a barrier around this place, Gaara?" Naruto asked Gaara.

Temari and Kankurō couldn’t help but narrow their eyes, but neither of them moved when Gaara gave a nod, wondering what Naruto intended to do.

Naruto then created four clones, which moved at a surprising speed to each corner of the room and clapped their hands together. A massive barrier, large enough to cover the entire place, appeared, completely isolating them from the outside world. Even some ANBU guarding the area noticed it, appearing in front of the barrier, surprised and looking worriedly at the Kazekage.

"A barrier? Why?" Kankurō asked, his eyes considerably narrowed.

"What we’re going to discuss here is quite serious. We can’t risk this information getting out. Tell your ninjas to calm down, Kazekage. We’re not your enemies, and you’re among friends..." Jiraiya said in a serious tone.

Gaara looked at the ninjas in the distance and gestured for them to remain calm.

Naruto nodded as well before turning his attention back to him. "Thank you, Gaara."

"Now are you going to tell me what happened to you, Naruto?" Gaara immediately asked. Despite his calm voice, that was the question he wanted to ask. He certainly knew that Naruto hadn’t possessed such abilities before. Seeing him create a barrier with four clones wasn’t among the abilities he knew his friend had.

Naruto gave a small, somewhat weak smile. Kakashi and Jiraiya also relaxed, sitting down on the sofa in front of them. Kankurō and Temari did the same, although they still seemed somewhat cautious. Naruto turned his attention directly to Gaara.

"What I’m about to tell you is a little surprising, but about a month and a half ago, I went on a mission not too far from here, farther north."

"I know about the mission to hunt the rogue ninja Mukade. We were the ones who sent that report to Konoha," Gaara said.

"And we thank you for that, it helped us track him until we reached the ruins of Rōran. And it was in the ruins of Rōran that a conflict against Mukade began, but he was already quite far ahead, having already activated the Chakra Vein. It swallowed Mukade first, then me and Captain Yamato into an energy force that took us 20 years into the past," Naruto said, making the three siblings raise their eyebrows in surprise. "Not just into the past, but to another world," Naruto added.

"Another world?" Temari frowned.

"It’s hard to explain." Naruto scratched his head. Even he, who had a better mindset now, couldn’t explain much. He only knew that not even his father had been able to explain it logically. There seemed to be a multiverse full of possibilities, where several versions of their worlds could exist at different moments and in different states, with various branches.

Anyway, Naruto explained that he had met his father and mother at a time before he had even been born and that they had taken him in, along with Yamato, to begin training that lasted around six months in that world, which would give Naruto time to become stronger before returning. Naruto had awakened his Uzumaki lineage, trained the jutsu he had inherited, and learned taijutsu and ninjutsu like never before in his life, among other things.

"Are you saying that you’re a perfect jinchūriki now, Naruto?" Gaara asked. His voice was surprisingly calm, but there was certainly astonishment in his words.

Naruto gave a demonstration as his body turned completely yellow, releasing Kurama’s chakra to prove his point to the three of them, who could only widen their eyes. If he hadn’t raised the barrier, he certainly would have alerted the entire Village. The barrier also protected against the detection of Kurama’s powerful chakra. Especially after the Village had already been attacked once, they were certainly much more cautious and paranoid. Naruto wouldn’t have been surprised if, without the barrier, practically every ninja in the Village had been rushing toward the Kazekage’s residence at that moment.

Naruto deactivated the transformation, returning to normal. "That’s just proof, because what we’re going to discuss now involves the information my father from that world left for me. Information that, somehow, he knew about the future events here. Maybe that’s why he trained me there, because he knew what I would face..." Naruto said with a sad smile at his last words, while the three nodded, still quite surprised.

With a movement, Naruto took out Minato’s scroll. To tell the truth, the original scroll hadn’t remained in the Village of Konoha after they reached that conclusion. It would be much safer in Naruto’s own possession, since he could teleport using his own Hiraishin and was also much stronger than any defensive force they could try to create around the scroll. Certainly, this way, it would also attract much less attention.

The Zetsu didn’t seem to know about the scroll, since they didn’t seem to be after it, and surely having information about the future should be tempting enough. Especially for Black Zetsu...

Besides that, they had made a copy, which they also hid inside Mount Myōboku, protected by a barrier beneath the feet of the Great Toad Sage himself. If that barrier was tampered with or if someone tried to break through it, Naruto would know through the Flying Thunder God seal itself, also used as a sensor, just as people could channel chakra into the seals and it would sound like a warning whistle in Naruto’s mind.

So, he was basically personally taking care of the scroll’s security.

Naruto handed the original scroll to Gaara, who began reading it. There was information Minato had left about a Fourth Ninja War, about Obito, Black Zetsu, an alliance that would be formed between all Five Great Nations in a war against Obito and Madara Uchiha, before the Ten-Tails itself was resurrected and, later, a woman imprisoned inside the Moon appeared as the true final objective of a creature that had been manipulating the world for over a thousand years.

Naruto remained there for about two hours, while Jiraiya and Kakashi also remained silent, giving Gaara time to read the information along with his siblings.

"This... this is unsettling," Gaara murmured as soon as he finished. He hadn’t read everything, but the scroll contained summarized information about the main events.

"The scroll talked about the death of my former comrade, or rather, about Sasuke absorbing Orochimaru. Although he’s inside Sasuke’s body now, we’ve had this scroll for over a month and he was reported dead in the last few days, you also heard that an elder was brought down in an internal conflict, right. The scroll spoke about his crimes and objectives, all of that has been confirmed," Jiraiya said.

Gaara nodded, already aware of both pieces of information. After all, the death of one of the Legendary Sannin had spread throughout the entire ninja world. And the conflict within Konoha had also spread, although crucial information hadn’t leaked, such as Naruto’s power.

"So you think this is true? That this really is their plan?" Gaara asked Naruto about the Akatsuki gathering information and the twists that might be taking place.

Naruto nodded. "I have no reason to doubt it. My father didn’t tell me this information in that world, but he prepared me for it and left this final gift. And things are happening just as he wrote. That’s why we came here to reinforce an alliance. Not only to strengthen the bonds between Konoha and Suna, but also to create an alliance between all the nations to put an end to our enemy and stop their plans," Naruto said.

Kakashi stood up and handed another scroll to Gaara, who opened it before becoming quite surprised. It was a summons for a meeting between the Five Kage in the Land of Iron, with the intention of creating an alliance between the Five Great Nations much earlier than the one that, according to the scroll, would be formed in the future.

"We’ll have to discuss this," Gaara said sincerely. Although there didn’t seem to be much doubt in his eyes, he needed to give his siblings the opportunity to express their own opinions. They would certainly have a lot to discuss.

"Of course, Gaara. Take your time," Naruto said in a mature tone.

"But, before that..." Gaara interrupted him before Naruto could begin standing up along with the others. "I’d like you to stay. I’d like to hear more about this adventure of yours, Naruto."

Naruto smiled. "Of course." They were friends, right? His father himself had said that, when he learned about the good relationship Naruto had with the Kazekage, he should nurture it not only as someone in charge of another Village, but also as a companion and friend.

Jiraiya and Kakashi left the place along with Temari and Kankurō. Only Naruto and Gaara remained for the next few hours, talking while drinking refreshments, with Naruto explaining a little more about his adventures in that other world and everything he had learned. Gaara couldn’t help but be surprised by the differences between the timelines. In that other world, his father was still the Kazekage after Naruto’s father killed the Third Kazekage, who hadn’t been killed by Sasori as he had been in the current timeline.

Even there, his father Rasa had been confronted by Minato, who was much more powerful than him, but remained alive, unlike other Kage who had fallen. Now, Naruto also couldn’t help but think that, knowing the information about the possible future, perhaps Minato had spared his life precisely so that Gaara could be born, knowing how important Gaara would be.

Even though he didn’t know what would happen with Temari or Kankurō, whether they would already be alive or not, since Minato didn’t seem to know that information, Gaara couldn’t help but be a little surprised by the idea that perhaps Naruto’s father hadn’t killed his father even when he had the chance, despite already having killed a Kazekage, precisely so that he could be born.

It was also strange to hear Naruto say that Obito, despite being an enemy in their world, was a loyal and fun companion in the other one. Naruto had met Obito Uchiha himself, met Ichibi, and even formed a certain friendship with him after finding him in a random forest on another continent.

He also told him about how he gradually earned Kurama’s trust with the help of his parents. Gaara could perhaps understand that jinchūriki weren’t merely war machines and that the Bijū weren’t merely beasts made to be used in conflicts.

Naruto also understood quite a lot about that, since he had heard a great deal about the Second War they had lived through, not only from Minato, but from all of his wives, who had been on battlefields.

Anyway, Naruto left Gaara’s residence, refusing to spend the night there since his companions were still staying at the inn, and disappeared using his own Flying Thunder God technique.

"So, Gaara, how did it go?" Kankurō asked when he arrived some time later, finding Gaara still standing there, lost in thought.

Gaara couldn’t help but smile as he looked at the night sky. "Naruto has changed quite a bit, Kankurō. That’s all." He even felt a certain envy. Naruto had met his parents and they seemed incredible, while at the same time, perhaps, if he had been given enough time, he could have formed bonds with Shukaku himself just as Naruto had done with Kurama.

"Do you believe him?" Kankurō asked.

Gaara nodded, looking at the scrolls on the table. "Yes. I believe Naruto. Tomorrow we’ll confirm our decision, but call Temari. I want to have a conversation with both of you before that, because I’d be a terrible brother if I didn’t include you in this discussion, right?" Gaara asked, unable to keep himself from smiling.

Kankurō smiled as well. "Of course. Let’s call our sister."
