...

Utakata was already quite stunned, but what he felt afterward made him even more alert when he noticed the great contraction coming directly from within him upon hearing that strange name the stranger gave after his own.

For a moment, he flinched slightly, causing even Hotaru to stare at him.

"Something wrong, Utakata-Sama?" She asked, worried, while he could not help but touch his stomach before looking at the redhead with more cautious eyes. His eyes also immediately went to his headband.

"Leaf Village." He said carefully. "What does Konoha want with me?" He asked in frustration, looking at the stranger in front of him, although there was something about him that bothered him. Theories had already begun running through his mind. The feeling of being watched earlier could have come from them, from Konoha. So they were after him? Wasn’t his own Village enough without another one? That was his natural thought.

Naruto did something unexpected and raised both hands, as if he were surrendering.

"I apologize for the entrance and especially for the pursuit, but yes, I needed to catch up with you." His voice echoed while Utakata and Hotaru exchanged glances, but never relaxed their stances, prepared to fight at any moment, before looking back at Naruto.

"What do you mean?" Utakata asked.

Naruto thought for a moment before scratching his head and displaying a smile extremely ill-suited to the situation.

"Well, to tell you the truth, I... Where do I start with this? There are some people looking for you." He began.

"Tell me something I don’t know." Utakata mocked, interrupting Naruto himself, since he was referring to Naruto himself.

"That’s not what I meant." Naruto said in a more serious tone. "We’re here looking for you, of course, but the Kirigakure ninjas have also come and are in the Land of the Sea."

That made Utakata seem even more tense, but the news was not over.

"And not just them..." Naruto interrupted any response from the other side. "There’s a group of people here to hunt you, or rather, to hunt Saiken inside you." Naruto said.

Utakata narrowed his eyes further and Naruto continued. "You’ve heard of the Akatsuki, right?" Naruto asked.

"I’ve heard something. It seems they’ve taken some jinchūrikis."

"The Kazekage himself has already been captured and had Shukaku extracted, as have Yugito Nii and Matatabi. Others have also already been captured... They’re hunting every last one of us, in order of the tails and you’re the sixth..." Naruto said.

"Last one of us?" Utakata could not help but notice that choice of words, while Naruto raised one of his hands.

Red chakra began to emerge around him. Even the bubbles scattered throughout the area seemed to react and burst merely from the presence of that chakra, which began to envelop Naruto completely. Hotaru took a few cautious steps back, while Utakata merely looked at Naruto and at the chakra cloak that covered him entirely within a few seconds.

"I’m like you. I’m the jinchūriki of Kurama, known as the Nine-Tails." Naruto introduced himself.

"This..." Hotaru murmured beside him, while Utakata remained still.

That was clear proof that he was not lying. There could be other ways for someone to possess the chakra of a Bijū, as many examples had already occurred, from scattered chakra that had been sealed into another person or object. But it was clear that Utakata had felt something ever since he saw Naruto. Something unsettling. He could feel a bijuu inside that strange red-haired boy from Konoha...

He also felt what was inside him react when that name, Saiken, came up, which immediately made him think that it was the name of the creature he carried within himself. Just like all the strange names Naruto had said, referring to the bijuu by names he did not know...

"Why are you coming here to warn me? What is your objective in showing me all this?" Utakata asked after recovering a little.

"Isn’t it obvious? I’m here to help you. I’m not your enemy. The same group hunting me is also after you. Obviously, I don’t want them to capture you."

Utakata remained silent for a few seconds. His apprentice said nothing and Naruto did not react either, which made them relax a little. He simply stood there while dispelling the chakra cloak.

"Do you know their objective?" Utakata asked, not knowing a better question to ask at the moment.

"I do. They want to gather all the Bijūs to recreate the original Bijū, the Ten-Tails." Naruto said, causing Utakata’s own stomach to contract as he bent down.

"Utakata-Sama, are you all right? What did you do to him?" Hotaru immediately said, pointing at Naruto, while Utakata was stunned as he felt his stomach being squeezed. That was not a reaction caused by Naruto doing something. It was his own Bijū reacting to that information.

"The Bijū knows what it means. By the way, did I already tell you that its name is Saiken? We’ve always called them by their tails, but they all have a name..." Naruto even displayed a smile, making no movement that indicated he was about to attack Utakata now that he was in a vulnerable position.

Utakata recovered some time later, staring at Naruto. He was still a little out of breath, but continued looking at him.

"How can I believe your words?" Utakata was still cautious after everything that had happened.

"I swear I’m not lying. I know what the Ten-Tails means because I obtained information from a source that clearly knew the future of this world, but that’s not something to discuss right now. We’re here precisely to try to save you, because I know what’s going to happen. I know you’ll be captured in this country." Naruto said that in a serious tone.

"You don’t know anything." Hotaru said, taking a step forward and standing between Naruto and Utakata.

Naruto was calm, even with the hostility from the other side. "I know about the scroll on your back." He said, causing the girl to suddenly freeze. Even Utakata seemed surprised. He still did not know about that.

"I know there’s a powerful jutsu inside you, that you want to make your clan great again. I have no intention of taking it. I know other people are after it, but that’s not the biggest problem here. I came to help a fellow jinchūriki and also his Bijū from being swallowed by the cruel fate of being captured."

"I don’t believe you." Utakata said as he recovered again, although he still had questions for Hotaru.

"I know you’re going to discover the truth about what happened that day with your master." Naruto could see Utakata stiffen immediately, but continued. "I know that, in the end, you’ll be tempted to return to Kiri, which is no longer the Bloody Mist, but you’ll still choose to travel... And, when you tell them that you intend to stay away a little longer because you’re thinking about training Hotaru, the Kirigakure squad will already have been exterminated. In their place, there will be Akatsuki members waiting for you. You’ll use Saiken’s powers and fight using a good portion of your strength, but even then, you’ll be captured and killed. Your Bijū will be extracted from you and, later, your corpse will be used in a reanimation technique." Naruto said everything.

"And you expect me to believe those things?" Utakata immediately growled. Hotaru agreed with him as well.

"No, I don’t. But I want you to already know everything, because soon we’re going to face the Akatsuki. I know they’ve already found you. There are creatures moving beneath the ground in this country. They’re a type of messenger for the organization and almost no one can sense them properly." Naruto said.

Utakata remembered the feeling of being watched very well.

"After telling me all this, what do you want me to do?" Utakata finally asked. He was lost with all of that, caught between surprise and skepticism.

Naruto expressed no displeasure as he continued. "I don’t want you to be captured. You’re going to need protection, and Kiri is the best place for you. And, before you complain about that, it has changed. The new Mizukage, Mei Terumī, isn’t a bad person. She herself fought against the Bloody Mist. While you fled the country, she remained with a rebel force until they managed to overthrow the Fourth Mizukage. I’m not asking you to believe me one hundred percent, but I’m on a mission to create an alliance against the Akatsuki between Konoha and Kirigakure. I would just like you to trust me enough to come with me to Kiri and see the country you fled from, with the guarantee that you’ll be allowed to leave." Naruto paused.

"I myself will help you leave Kiri if you don’t want to stay there, but I’d like you to give it a chance. Because, if you want to protect yourself and your apprentice, the protection of the Land of Water is the best way to keep yourself safer from the Akatsuki. Or, if you prefer, I’ll take you to Konoha. If you don’t want to stay in Kiri, you’ll still need protection." Naruto was about to destroy any possible alliance or relationship with Kiri if Utakata wanted to go to Konoha.

"She’s not my apprentice." Utakata murmured, although still somewhat disturbed by Naruto’s statements, while Hotaru watched him in silence.

"I don’t think I’m going to trust your words." And Utakata finally added. "I’m not going to trust some stranger who shows up like this and says all these things."

Naruto raised both arms, shrugging. "I know. I’m not asking you to do that. But I’d like you to pay attention to everything that happens in this country and to who we’re going to face." He said, repeating his position from before.

Utakata was already tired of making a different expression with every new piece of information Naruto revealed.

"Then that’s how it’ll be." He replied.

"And how do you know about my scroll?" Hotaru was the one who spoke this time, staring at Naruto with narrowed eyes full of anger. That was a secret that not even her sensei knew.

"As I said, we received information about many things. It’s a long story and I don’t think we’ll be able to talk about it now, but I can tell you anyway." Naruto said. "About what’s going to happen here, about the secret jutsu and even about what happened that night when your master died."

Utakata stiffened once again. "You don’t know anything."

"Well, according to the information I have, which hasn’t failed so far, it seems otherwise." Naruto began and he took a scroll from his pocket and threw it to Utakata, who caught it.

"Utakata, don’t open it. It could be a trap." Hotaru was still quite cautious.

"I know." Utakata admitted, still staring at Naruto. "Even so, let’s see." He said in the end as he opened the scroll, Naruto had said too many things for him not to be curious about the contents of that scroll.

There was all the information separated from the main scroll. It was information about exactly what would come to happen, beginning directly with what had occurred between Utakata and his master. But those words said something Utakata could not believe: his master had not been trying to steal his power, he wanted to free Utakata, but it ended up going wrong. He had been trying to help him and ended up dying because of it. Utakata entered the bingo book as his master’s killer after that.

Utakata read about all the events, about the bandits pursuing Hotaru, about them managing to get rid of them, about Shiranami and trying to use the forbidden jutsu, about him discovering the truth regarding his master and even beginning to trust Kirigakure more after hearing the members of the special force that was in the Land of the Sea. The information continued until the moment when he would actually decide that he could return to Kiri, but decided that he wanted to train Hotaru, finally accepting her as his disciple. In the end, when he returned, the Kiri ninjas would already be dead. Utakata would find only what remained of them and would be confronted by the Akatsuki. The last thing he would do before blacking out would be to send a bubble to Hotaru, who would be sitting there waiting for him without knowing anything. After that, there was no more information about what had happened to her.

Even Utakata fell silent, while Hotaru could not help but frown. He had to admit that, internally, he already cared deeply about that girl, even if he tried not to show it, she would be left alone according to that scroll...

And to think that that girl, who wanted to become strong to bring glory to her clan, carried within her a weapon that would be used for that man’s plans. In the end, when things would have been resolved and Utakata would finally have made a decision, he would be captured and killed...

"If you want, I can remove the seal and the jutsu from inside her." Naruto spoke again, surprising them both.

But they could not talk for much longer, because some strangers began entering the forest. Naruto could already sense them entering his sensory field. They were bandits approaching, all wanting to hunt Hotaru, but the forest was still full of the bubbles created by Utakata, so they had probably already triggered some of them.

"Looks like the group has arrived." Naruto said in a casual tone, while the tension increased for the two in front of him. "We can talk about this later. I think we have some things to deal with first."

"Wait." Utakata said, while Naruto turned his eyes toward him.

"Hmm?"

"You still haven’t told me your name." Utakata said, while Naruto gave his forehead a small slap.

"Of course." He mocked himself, before breaking into a smile. "I’m Naruto Uzumaki!" He replied.

As he said that, not only were Sakura, Sai, Yamato, and the rest of the Kirigakure ninjas approaching, but Kakashi’s team with Team 8 was also beginning to detect something inside the forest.

Everything indicated that the greatest conflict in the Land of the Sea could happen ahead of time. In the end, the Shiranami Group was nothing more than a minor nuisance when compared to the Six Paths of Pain.
