Chapter 52: Hokage

"Do you remember our teacher’s death, Koharu? He died at the hands of Kumogakure, but what did Hiruzen do? Nothing! He did nothing."

"The one to kill the Third Raikage was Iwagakure. The one to please Kumo was Hiruzen. His weakness, his actions, I hate them more than anything else."

Koharu shook her head and said.

"I finally understand, Danzo. Even if you had stood up at that moment instead of Hiruzen, the teacher wouldn’t have chosen you to be the Hokage."

"Yes, Hiruzen can be softhearted at times, like when he let go of Orochimaru instead of killing him."

Hearing her words, Danzo stayed silent the entire time, as if he was getting a new perspective on Hiruzen.

After all, he wasn’t Danzo. He was Naruto, and he was indeed learning about Hiruzen from a different perspective.

And, she wasn’t wrong.

Just like how his original self kneeled in front of the Raikage to spare Sasuke, Hiruzen took a similar stance.

Sasuke was his friend, but he was also a Rogue Ninja. So, he had to make the Raikage give up his hatred for Sasuke.

Otherwise, that would lead to a war because he wouldn’t stop protecting Sasuke, and that was a problem.

Sasuke was just a Rogue Ninja. To let his comrades fight and die for a rogue ninja wasn’t exactly the right thing to do.

He dashed forward with such speed that Koharu wasn’t able to react as he drove his wind blade through her chest.

As she said those words with the last of her breath, she fell to the ground.

He turned around and gave an order.

Fugaku nodded and waved hand signs.

[Fire Release- Great Fireball Jutsu]

In an instant, the entire room was burned. The corpses were burned as well. Soon, Danzo and his team walked out of the building.

Just when they stepped away, Danzo suddenly stopped and looked at Mikoto.

"Did your bugs sense any presence nearby?"

"No, Lord Danzo! Is there a problem?"

"No, must have been my imagination!"

He shook his head and walked away with Mikoto and Fugaku.

On the other hand, two people suddenly burst out of the ground. One of them was Naruto, while the other was Hayate.

"Mr. Hayate, that was Danzo, right?" Naruto asked cautiously.

"You know him?" Hayate looked at him with surprise.

"I have some memories of him here." Naruto pointed at his head as he explained, but his explanation only confused Hayate.

"No, this is not the time to talk about it. We need to inform Lord Jiraiya or Lord Shikaku about this."

Hayate immediately stood up.

"Is that so? Then, I will keep an eye on Lord Daimyo."

In an instant, Naruto turned into a puff of smoke.

"Was it just a clone?"

Hayate muttered, looking surprised.

But then, he remembered he had to inform higher-ups and quickly ran towards the Arena.

On his way, he noticed several of Naruto’s clones helping the Konoha Shinobi fight the enemy.

Naruto’s clones wouldn’t interfere unless the Konoha Shinobi couldn’t fight. But he didn’t have the time to look around.

He had to rush towards the Arena as quickly as possible.

Seeing the large red formation around the Arena, he believed that’s where most of the Jonin were present.

On the other hand, Hiruzen was starting his battle with Orochimaru.

He wasn’t just fighting Orochimaru. He was also fighting the First Hokage and the Second Hokage simultaneously.

[Fire Release- Fire Dragon Jutsu]

[Water Release- Water Barrier]

The moment Hiruzen released his Fire Dragon Jutsu, the reanimated Second Hokage also released a powerful Water Barrier, blocking the fire.

But he didn’t stop there. He immediately moved his hand and released another powerful Jutsu.

[Water Release- Water Dragon Missile]

As he condensed a large amount of water into a powerful thrust of water, Hiruzen quickly weaved hand signs and spat out a small amount of mud.

[Earth Release- Mud Wall]

As the mud grew in size and formed a large wall in front of Hiruzen, the Water Dragon Missile tried to break it apart.

[Wood Release- Deep Forest Emergence]

Hashirama clapped his hands together and closed his fingers. Suddenly, the ground started to crack open, and a large number of trees started sprouting.

The branches and stems of these trees grew rapidly, approaching Hiruzen and trying to encase him.

But Hiruzen was also prepared enough. He immediately bit off his finger and wove hand signs.

[Summoning Jutsu- Monkey King Enma]

At this moment, a human-sized monkey appeared next to Hiruzen while he was being tied by a large number of branches.

Enma turned back to Hiruzen and scolded him.

The next moment, Enma turned into a large staff and quickly cut off the branches holding back Hiruzen.

At the same time, Orochimaru also spat out a large snake that spat out a long sword.

Hiruzen immediately rushed forward and launched his staff towards the enemy.

He managed to shake off Hashirama and Tobirama before launching it towards Orochimaru.

Using this moment, Hashirama and Tobirama dashed forward, launching their attacks on Hiruzen.

But Hiruzen also threw two paper bombs onto the legs of the First and Second Hokage.

As he got kicked away, the bombs on their legs exploded, causing dust to rise between them.

But a few seconds later, the legs of the First Hokage and Second Hokage reemerged.

At this moment, Hiruzen heard a loud explosion and turned around, only to find a massive Tailed Beast in the middle of the Arena.
