Chapter 87: Compensation

Naruto nodded and decided to ignore the matter completely. It would take them quite a while to get used to his role as a Hokage.

Ibiki asked.

"Lord Hokage, why don’t we just explain the situation to the public?"

Naruto shook his head and spoke righteously.

Hearing his words, all four people inside the room were stunned.

Naruto was getting tired of lying, but he knew he had to lie through his teeth.

"So, we need to get authority over this land so we can send our ninjas here to keep an eye on this Seal?"

Shikaku asked and quickly replied.

"But there is one problem. We will be sending our ninjas to the enemy’s land."

"Considering how easily they broke this alliance, what’s stopping them from doing it again?"
