Naruto: The Ridiculously Talented Uzumaki
Chapter 490: This is Wonderful
Orochimaru walked out of the hospital room, which was filled with the smell of disinfectant and a somewhat subtle atmosphere, and gently closed the door behind him.
Just then, at the other end of the corridor, two extremely eye-catching figures were walking side-by-side toward him.
One of them was the Seventh Hokage of Hidden Leaf Village.
He wore a white hokage robe over orange clothing, with a warm and steady smile on his face, talking to the person beside him.
The other person walking beside him was a blonde youth who looked seventy to eighty percent like the Seventh Hokage in his youth.
He wore a black short-sleeved shirt under a white tracksuit, with his hands in his pockets, walking at a leisurely pace and calmly scanning his surroundings.
The visual impact of these two Narutos walking side-by-side was simply explosive.
It caused the patients, family members, and medical staff passing by in the corridor to turn their heads and whisper, casting curious, surprised, and even somewhat reverent glances.
Many even stopped in their tracks to steal glances at them.
"Orochimaru!"
Seeing Orochimaru standing at the door of the hospital room from afar, Seventh Hokage Naruto’s eyes lit up. With an even warmer smile on his face, he quickened his pace and walked up to Orochimaru.
"How is Jiraiya-sensei doing today? Is there any improvement?"
The Seventh Hokage asked with concern, his tone filled with worry and hope for his mentor.
Ever since his counterpart from another world had brought the dying Jiraiya-sensei back from the past, the Seventh Hokage had made time to visit every day.
"He’s already awake,"
Orochimaru replied succinctly. Not much emotion could be heard in his voice, but those who knew him well could tell that he seemed to be in a good mood.
With that, Orochimaru took the folded application form, which had just been signed by Jiraiya and Tsunade, out of his lab coat pocket and handed it to the Seventh Hokage.
"This is just waiting for your stamp to take effect, Hokage-sama,"
Orochimaru added, a hint of mischief flashing in his golden, snake-like eyes.
Seventh Hokage Naruto took the paper and unfolded it. When he saw the bright red title and the two familiar signatures below, he was stunned for a moment. Then, a somewhat silly grin spread across his face, and his eyes even grew slightly red.
"Yeah, I’ll stamp it as soon as I get back!"
The Seventh Hokage nodded vigorously.
"I never expected... that I would actually get to see Pervy... cough, Jiraiya-sensei and Granny Tsunade get married with my own eyes. This is... truly wonderful!"
He had almost blurted out ’Pervy Sage.’
"I didn’t expect it either,"
Orochimaru chuckled, a hint of complex emotion in his voice.
"Originally, even that guy’s body couldn’t be found, sunk somewhere in the deep ocean of the Land of Rain. Who would have thought... he could actually be brought back. That guy Jiraiya really is incredibly lucky."
His gaze drifted, intentionally or otherwise, to Young Naruto, who stood silently beside the Seventh Hokage.
Clearly, Orochimaru knew very well that the youth in front of him from another space-time deserved the most credit for bringing Jiraiya back from such a desperate situation and certain ’death’—one could even say his methods were god-like.
After all, this was the only existence he had ever seen who could toy with time.
Young Naruto stood there quietly, listening to the conversation between the Seventh Hokage and Orochimaru, with no particular expression on his face.
Allowing the Seventh Hokage of this world to reunite with his beloved teacher, Jiraiya, was something he was glad to see and happy to make happen.
This could be considered a meaningful good deed he had done since arriving in this unfamiliar world.
However, when it came to the subsequent matters regarding Jiraiya and Tsunade, Young Naruto felt there was no need for him to get overly involved.
That was their own lives; it wouldn’t be right for him to interfere too much.
The reason he was able to save Jiraiya was because he used Amenotajikara to borrow the space-time Dōjutsu, Kamimusubi, from Otsutsuki Otohime.
Then, using this jutsu, after multiple attempts, he located the specific point in time when this world’s Jiraiya was fighting fiercely against the Six Paths of Pain in the Land of Rain, ultimately dying and sinking into the deep ocean.
Before Jiraiya’s consciousness completely faded, the golden dragon he saw swimming in the dark depths of the sea was precisely the form Young Naruto took after using Kamimusubi.
However, this process was extremely draining on his Chakra, especially since it was Young Naruto’s first time using a space-time Dōjutsu like Kamimusubi, making his control highly unpracticed.
He had even gone to the wrong point in time several times, wasting a massive amount of Chakra.
Furthermore, Kamimusubi was essentially a space-time traversing Dōjutsu, not a Forbidden Jutsu that could bring the dead back to life. What it could do was bring someone from the past to the present, or send someone from the present to the past.
Moreover, the number of people who could be saved with this technique was highly limited.
The conditions were extremely harsh.
For example, Jiraiya’s arm could not be brought back, because the Kara organization would use Jiraiya’s cells to create Kashin Koji.
Because Jiraiya’s arm remained in that space-time, Kashin Koji, who existed as a clone of Jiraiya’s cells, would not disappear just because Jiraiya was rescued and brought to the present space-time.
Furthermore, in the history of this world, Jiraiya had never been reanimated via Edo Tensei, and his body was also missing.
This meant that saving Jiraiya right before he died would not cause any actual impact or paradox in the historical events that had already occurred.
His disappearance could simply be explained as his body sinking into the deep sea and never being found, which aligned perfectly with historical records.
Kamimusubi was a space-time traversing Dōjutsu, but it was not a technique to reverse life and death.
Being able to ’pull’ Jiraiya back from that point in time without affecting the major course of history was already the absolute limit of Young Naruto’s current capabilities, and even involved a bit of luck.
If it were the Fourth Hokage and his wife, they could not be recalled this way, because their bodies had remained under the watchful eyes of the people of Hidden Leaf Village after their deaths.
Since Kushina had never been reanimated via Edo Tensei, she theoretically could be brought back, but it would likely be very troublesome. Kamimusubi was far too eye-catching and could easily attract unwanted attention.
This was also a drawback of this technique.
"What do you plan to do next?" After stamping the document, the Seventh Hokage turned his gaze to Young Naruto and asked in a serious tone. He knew that Young Naruto would not stay in this world for long.
"Once Otohime recovers some Chakra and pinpoints the coordinates, I will take her, young Hinata, and Hanabi back," Young Naruto replied calmly. "It won’t be long. During this time, I’ll have to trouble you to take care of them."
"Don’t worry! Leave it to me!" The Seventh Hokage patted his chest and readily agreed.
Orochimaru also nodded, indicating that he would cooperate.
The three of them briefly discussed a few more points regarding Jiraiya’s subsequent treatment and recovery, and then parted ways.
Holding the marriage application, the Seventh Hokage happily headed back to the Hokage Office to stamp it.
Meanwhile, Orochimaru continued with his research and medical work.
Young Naruto turned and walked in the direction of the Hyuga Compound.

During the Sannin War period, Tsunade clearly still preferred Kato Dan. She had even wavered when Orochimaru suggested using Jiraiya and Naruto as sacrifices to resurrect Kato Dan and Nawaki.
As for the period before Jiraiya went to Amegakure, Tsunade was clearly moved by the words Jiraiya left unsaid, but Jiraiya interrupted himself.
The Tsunades of the two worlds were at different periods in their lives, so their choices were naturally different.
Besides, I also want to see Orochihime suppress Jiraiya.
In addition, Yuji’s Dōjutsu is actually Kamimusubi, but because his mother is Karin instead of Otohime, Naruto did not tell him the name of the Dōjutsu.
Once the story is finished, if conditions permit, I should write about it in the extra Chapters.
