Chapter 606 - 421: What a Bunch of Trash, Letting You All In
With a low cry from the Arhat, the light suddenly intensified. A vast Seven-Colored Domain rapidly expanded outward, centered on the Pagoda.
The domain resembled a massive, transparent dome, enveloping a wide swath of the surrounding area.
Within this domain, lights of seven different colors flickered faintly.
Countless unseen eyes seemed to watch from the shadows, ready to silently suppress any power that dared to enter.
Beckett, the Archbishop of the Bright Holy See, was clad in a magnificent white robe.
Golden patterns shimmered faintly upon it, exuding a sacred glow.
His expression was grim, his eyes betraying an unwavering faith in the Light God.
With his hands crossed before his chest, he muttered an incantation. Pure Power of Light surged from his body,
like a bursting dam, swirling and converging around him to form a series of dazzling light screens.
At that moment, Chu He’s plan had entered its most critical stage; there was no room for error.
Amaterasu, the last line of defense tasked with protecting Chu He,
shot out from the depths of the Demon Cave like a cannonball. She had transformed into a blazing, human-shaped sun, radiating unparalleled heat and power.
Roiling flames billowed around her, a strange and pure gold. Wherever she passed, the air instantly ignited with a CRACKLE, and the entire space warped from the intense heat.
The moment Amaterasu appeared, her gaze burned like a torch. She locked onto Beckett and the Tota Arhat and, without a word, charged straight at them, instantly engaging the two in a chaotic battle.
Her figure moved like lightning as she threw a fierce right fist. Wreathed in blazing golden flames, the punch contained world-shattering power as it shot directly toward Beckett.
Beckett’s expression turned grave. He thrust his hands forward, shouting the Light God’s name.
A Shield of Light, glowing with a blinding white radiance, instantly materialized before him.
The shield was incredibly solid, like a greatshield forged from light itself. Exuding a sacred aura, it steadily met Amaterasu’s mighty blow.
The instant the punch met the shield, an intense flash of light erupted, followed by a deafening BOOM.
The light was like a miniature supernova, illuminating the entire region of the Demon Cave and revealing every detail in the once-dark corners.
Powerful energy waves rippled outward from the point of impact, instantly spiderwebbing the surrounding ground with massive cracks.
Like the maws of savage beasts, these fissures spread rapidly, tearing the earth to shreds.
Meanwhile, the Tota Arhat launched his own attack.
He tossed the Seven-Colored Pagoda into the air. It instantly swelled to several times its original size, hovering in midair.
The seven lights of the Pagoda grew even more brilliant, intertwining to form a massive, seven-colored pillar of light. Like a column holding up the heavens, it shot viciously toward Amaterasu.
Sensing the attack from behind, Amaterasu’s form flickered. She became a golden afterimage, instantly dodging the fierce strike.
The seven-colored pillar of light struck the ground, blasting a massive crater into the earth.
The crater was dozens of meters in diameter, its walls as smooth as glass. The surrounding rock had been instantly pulverized by the immense energy, and the resulting dust was thrown in all directions by the powerful shockwave, falling like a rain of stone.
Having dodged the attack, Amaterasu didn’t pause for a moment. Her hands danced rapidly as she let out a low, majestic roar.
With her movements, the surrounding flames answered a mysterious call, swiftly coalescing into two enormous dragons of fire.
The two dragons were shockingly lifelike, their scales seemingly forged from fire, and they radiated a dazzling golden light.
They roared to the heavens, a sound that shook the very earth, and pounced toward Beckett and the Tota Arhat, all fangs and claws.
Seeing this, Beckett’s hands flew through a series of Sealing Techniques as he chanted a continuous Spell.
A Bright Barrier instantly materialized before him and the Tota Arhat.
Forged from the Power of Light, the barrier was like an indestructible fortress of light, radiating an intense glow as it sought to fend off the dragons’ assault.
The Tota Arhat, meanwhile, controlled his Seven-Colored Pagoda. Its light flared, releasing a Seven-Colored Light Curtain that worked in tandem with the Bright Barrier to withstand the ferocious attack.
The flame dragons crashed into the Bright Barrier and the Seven-Colored Light Curtain, setting off an earth-shattering explosion. Fire and the Power of Light intertwined and clashed, forming a massive energy vortex.
Within the vortex, fire and light flickered and fought, the radiance so blinding it was impossible to look at directly.
The powerful energies churned the surrounding air into a violent storm.
The howling storm swept up sand, stone, and debris, grinding them together like a mad blender as it rampaged wantonly.
Seizing the moment while Amaterasu was focused on Beckett, the Tota Arhat once again manipulated the Seven-Colored Pagoda.
The Pagoda flashed, and a seven-colored rope shot out from within. Like a nimble, iridescent python, it snaked toward Amaterasu’s legs.
Amaterasu sensed the danger and tried to evade, but the seven-colored rope was too fast, binding her legs in an instant.
Amaterasu struggled, the flames on her body erupting violently as she tried to break free from the rope’s hold.
However, the seven-colored rope seemed to contain a special power; for a moment, even she couldn’t break free.
Seeing Amaterasu entangled, Beckett seized the opportunity. He raised his hands high, and a massive Light Divine Sword coalesced between them.
The Divine Sword was formed from pure Power of Light, with wisps of radiant energy swirling around its blade. It seemed to be woven from countless rays of light and emitted a blinding glow.
With a great shout, Beckett hurled the Light Divine Sword at Amaterasu. The sword shot forward like a white bolt of lightning, letting out a sharp whistle as it flew.
Seeing the Light Divine Sword approach, a look of grim resolve flashed in Amaterasu’s eyes.
Her hands rapidly formed a Sealing Technique, and a massive Flame Shield instantly appeared before her.
The Light Divine Sword slammed into the Flame Shield, erupting with an intense flash of light and immense concussive force.
The Flame Shield trembled under the sword’s impact but ultimately held against the blow.
The powerful shockwave once again made the ground tremble violently, and cracks spiderwebbed outward in all directions.
The surrounding mountain peaks also began to teeter, and smaller rocks tumbled down into the craters formed by the energy blasts.
Just then, the flames on Amaterasu’s body suddenly flared even more intensely. She stomped her foot, and the seven-colored rope on her legs instantly disintegrated into ash under the sheer power of the fire.
Amaterasu’s figure flashed, and she charged at Beckett and the Tota Arhat once more.
Her hands danced, unleashing countless streams of Flame Sword Qi that flew toward Beckett and the Tota Arhat like a dense rain of blades.
Seeing this, Beckett and the Tota Arhat each employed their own defensive measures.
Beckett once again conjured a Shield of Light, protecting both himself and the Tota Arhat.
The Tota Arhat, in turn, commanded the Seven-Colored Pagoda to release its Seven-Colored Light Curtain, which coordinated with the Shield of Light to jointly defend against the assault of Flame Sword Qi.
The Flame Sword Qi hammered against the shield and the light curtain, producing a rapid-fire PANG PANG PANG, like a frenzied drumbeat.
Amid the flashing lights, the powerful energy fluctuations warped the surrounding space, threatening to make it collapse at any moment.
The surrounding environment had suffered severe damage during the fierce battle. The once-gloomy Demon Cave was now even more scarred and broken. The ground was covered with huge fissures and deep craters, and in some places, it had even collapsed.
In the sky, the thick cloud layer had been blasted to pieces by the powerful energy shockwaves, allowing faint, dim light to filter through.
Many of the surrounding peaks had been razed to the ground, filling the air with flying rubble and dust.
"What useless trash, letting all of you get in."
Amaterasu muttered in frustration.
